A PC exclusive. It's not coming out for PS3. A console version may come out but it won't be the same as the PC Crysis.

There will NEVER be world peace. NEVER NEVER NEVER. Except when we all die during some major nuclear war. -

Some queero from Capcom was like "look at the trailer closely and you'll see what direction we want to take it but I'm not saying about it."

This is pretty damn big. -
wait, are you saying that as speculation, or fact? o_O Everything in this thread is speculation. Except that Street Fighter 4 is being made by Capcom, that's the only fact.

Here is an incomplete list I think. There may be some missing and some duplicates in there because I have multiple copies of some things and some are just mistakes. Bill of rights...what a joke
Gryph replied to Explosive Misanthropy's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Socialized medicine is a very touchy subject. As a future physician I would love to see everyone to be able to go to a doctor when they're sick but also see doctors when they're not sick to prevent future illness. Prevention is one of the major things that I think the current health system really needs to move towards. However, the way the system is set up in the US goes totally against everyone getting the same amount of care. But it is also important to realize that healthcare, like everything else, is a limited resource so there is a scarcity. In our free market society, all scare goods lead to conflict which leads to choice on how those resources have to be spent. We do not live in an ideal world where anything, even health care, can be made to violate that just because we feel bad that not everyone is getting equal care. There are a limited number of doctors, nurses, physicians assistants, nurses assistants, limited time, limited medicine, limited gauze, limited hospital beds, limited everything so all of those resources have to be parceled out in some way and that way in this country is who has the most money and best insurance. I don't think the current US system is the right way to go. There is so much wasted money and time in this system it is ridiculous. But I don't know what the right system would be so I have no answers on that. And no, the Canadian system is not the best or end all be all of healthcare systems. Please keep this topic alive till next Tuesday which is when I can dedicate more time to discuss this because I have my final test of the semester on Tuesday morning and I really really really really have to study from now till then. -
Very nicely written review. This game was pretty poor on the 360 but I really enjoyed it on the PC even though it was just your above average run and gun shooter.

Jeff Gerstmann fired... over a bad review?
Gryph replied to BlackKnight's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
From the other thread: More rumor: An anonymous member wrote a long post at another website talking about his firing and how the separation between the marketing/ad department and editorial department broke down once Greg Kasavin (the previous editor-in-chief and boss at Gamespot) left. http://blog.shacknews.com/blogarticle.x/50160 I could never take any of those reviews very seriously. I can't stand reviews that use a 1-10 or percentage scale. All reviews should be forced to use a star system or no numbers at all. It's just so arbitrary. What distinguishes a 9.4 game from a 9.5 game or from an 8.9 game? I also find their writing to be pretty poor and the review style to be bad. I hate how they break a game down into its parts instead of rating a game holistically. I don't know I'm just jaded at the whole system. That's why I just read independent news sites like shacknews and not sites like Gamespot or IGN or blogs like joystiq or kotaku. -

Totally agreed. I've been playing Gears of War for PC lately. It's a pretty good game but I fail to see how it won all those game of the year awards. There really must not have been much competition last year.

Not sure if you guys have been following this but Jeff Gertsmann, Gamespot's editor-in-chief, was fired recently. Rumor is that it had to do with Eidos pressuring CNET executives to fire him because he rated Kane and Lynch a 6.0 and totally ripped it in the video review. For the past week or so Gamespot was pretty much a skinned Kane and Lynch advertisement. You can see a pic of it and read about it here: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/50134 Or course, CNET denies such things: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/50157 But it is rather odd that an editor-in-chief, who has been at Gamespot for over a decade, could be fired just like that. His review style has always been pretty consistent I think so to be fired for a review doesn't seem likely. More rumor: An anonymous member wrote a long post at another website talking about his firing and how the separation between the marketing/ad department and editorial department broke down once Greg Kasavin (the previous editor-in-chief and boss at Gamespot) left. http://blog.shacknews.com/blogarticle.x/50160 Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually fired due to pressure from advertisers. There has also been huge backlash against both Eidos and Gamespot.

Really? I was pretty much amazed through the whole game.
