That whoever was me. And I know he is based on St. Nicholas. I was referring to the Coca-Cola-commercialized-Santa Claus. You know, the non-religious one that goes "Ho ho ho" and promises kids presents. I'm only in between classes now so you'll have to wait till I have a longer break for a another reply. So stay tuned to this thread, cause we'll be right back! And now a word from our sponsers: Coca-Cola, McDonalds (I'm hatin' it!) and Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ."

Well misuse of religion is the major problem with religion, but religion itself is a misuse of peoples' ability to think and good judgement. What better way to keep people in line than saying there is an afterlife and that there is this all powerful being(s) watching everything we do and then passing judgement after we die. I predict in time, maybe not in any of our lifetimes, religion is eventually going to be phased out, or atleast new faiths will pop up. I mean, look at history for an example. Mesopotamian gods - gone, Egyptian gods - gone, Babylonian gods - gone, and those faiths were in existence longer than most religions today, save Judaism and Hinduism(which I used to be a member till I reached the age of reason). Why don't they exist anymore, because another more appealing idealogy took over. The same thing can and will probably will happen hundreds of years from now. I thought history was there so we wouldn't repeat the same mistakes. And please, I'm up for a calm, well minded, friendly retort to what I just wrote. I like to get as many views and opinions as possible because that is the best way to make a sound decision. Hell, I may even start to believe in God if I am ever convinced. But from what I have experienced, read, studied, I just can't bring myself to believe and have faith in an imaginary being that's just as real as Santa Claus or goblins or wyverns or griffons(except me ) or illithids or beholders or imps or Joan Rivers or pig cops or vampires or werewolves or ghosts or ghouls or...damn I'm running out of imaginary things. But you get my point. It doesn't and shouldn't matter what faith or God you believe in, but everyone should help and be kind to your fellow human (and some animals). Cheers! Oh and by the way, did you know that Jim Caveziel refused to have a sex scene with Ashley Judd because of his Catholic beliefs. BUT IT'S ASHLEY JUDD! God will forgive you man.
-
The guy playing Jesus, Jim Caveziel (whatever), got struck by lightning during filming of the movie. Ok, if Mel Gibson didn't see that as a sign, then I don't know what's going on. He also dislocated his shoulder. I think Jesus was trying to say "EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE STORY! STOP THIS BULLSHIT! I DON'T WANT TO SEE ME GETTING CRUCIFIED AGAIN! IT HURT LIKE crap THE FIRST TIME!" It's kind of weird, though. I never pictured Mel Gibson as being this ultra-religious guy. I mean, he did Mad Max, Lethal Weapon, and other mature films. It's just odd.
-
I want to go see it. Not going for religious reasons, I'm an athiest, but too see Jesus get whipped, beaten and get crucified. Yes, I am a sadistic motherflocker. But I'm only going to see it if I get in for free, I'm not going to pay Mel Gibson $7.50 to see his propaganda. I think it would be priceless if I yelled out at the appropriate moments "That's gotta hurt!" or "That'll leave a mark!" But I'm sure the audience would crucify me and be ejected from the premises. And then don their whitehoods and burn a cross in my yard. Before any of you lash out at my sacriligous comments, I'm only joking except for the athiest and not paying for that movie. That part is true. I would never do what I just wrote because I respect other peoples' beliefs. And frankly I'm scared of a group of hooded whitemen burning a cross in my yard.

Infinium Labs I'm a little confused about this whole system deal. Its specs seem pretty nice but do you think they have a chance? I mean, it says it can play PC games but do you think it can play ANY game or just authorized games? Do they have an developers making games for that system.... I think this system will flop. I've read the comics on Penny Arcade that make fun of it but I want a more serious look at it. And those flockers are suing Hard[OCP] for "defaming" them. What crap. And the system looks like crap too.

Sushi was less expensive in New York than it is here. It is really bad here. Like 40 bucks for one person.
-
I love sushi but it's very rare that I get to eat it. The is only one really good place in New Orleans but its mucho expensivo.

Perhaps it was a scam hub that was recruiting new OPs to do their dirty business

What is your favorite groove in Capcom vs. SNK 2?
Gryph replied to Gryph's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You charge up in the S groove, not N. Atleast I'm pretty sure. -
Oh. Well it doesn't really matter anymore. ForceX's links was what I needed.

Oh damn...I never had X-Men toys. Sorry. -
Mine was over 3 letters. I typed in "'svc neorage'" (without the quotations).
-
Yes, that is quite a brilliant idea. Now all you have to do is pitch this idea to Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sega.
-
Alright thanks dude!

You must have downloaded a proper version... What are you CRCs?
-
It say it's unable to load the program roms.
-
I guess so. I got those ROMs a long time ago and haven't cared enough to fix them. How big are M1 files?

I was trying to search the forum for the P1 (or S1, whichever) for SVC so I can play it in NeoRage EGCG. But it says this: This menu has been disabled 1Emulation.Com Board Message Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Sorry, but we did not find any matches to display. Try again and broaden your search criteria. If you were searching for new posts since your last visit, it's possible that there are none to show.

Does your Twinkle Star Sprites have messed up sound? I have to turn the FM off when I play that because it's all static-y. And I prefer Blazing Star over Pulstar. Well probably because my sound for Pulstar is flocked up too.

i think its preacher but sorry for taking us off topic, i agree with what people said at the time, forget about him, he wants you to talk about him, he thinks he an all powerful internet ANACHIRST. hey, are you allow anachists in the army ? No. Not preacher. It's George Carlin in his 2002 HBO special "Complaints and Grievances." Actual quote: "Here are some more musical vermin whose mothers we wished had had medical plans that included abortion."

he he, excellent point man. What were the casualties on both sides of the Iraq war? Something like US: 547, Iraq: at least 5,000 (that's the conservative estimate)! Body Counts on both sides Scroll down for the Iraqi Civilian Body Count. It's close to 10,000. And these are innocent civilians, not Baath Party loyalists and terrorists (who should be killed, don't get me wrong there). And this is just in combat. This is not counting the over 500,000 people that died because of sanctions in the past decade.

I got a 135 on that test and I can't tell my ass from my elbow so emsley's right. But yeah, this test is for stupid people to feel better about themselves. The real IQ tests are given by government to kids. My parents told me that I took one when I was 5 and that I scored very high. They didn't tell me the exact score but said it was over 140, but I'm a moron. But these tests are highly subjective. I'm pretty sure they've stopped giving them because people have realized that they don't mean anything. And then they have to people that say your EQ (emotional quotient) is more important. What bullcrap. There was a presentation at a medical school that I went to, and this guy was telling how doctors are supposed to have very high EQs. It was so funny because he was very discreetly saying how he had a high score on both is IQ and EQ. I hate that kid, he's (or was) my arch-nemisis. I wanted to punch that smug bastard in the face... well anyway, my point is that all these tests are completely meaningless. The only real test is what you actually do with your life.
