LOL Transformers for life. Transformers don't count (and maybe GI Joe and He-Man...maybe). They transcend space and time as the coolest toys ever. If you don't have or have had a Transformer action figure, you haven't matured properly. It's like skipping puberty or something like that.

Well emulation is more CPU intensive. But I think by the time Atomiswave is emulated, you ought to have a new card. You'll have a couple years to upgrade.

I think the military wants more "realistic training". I don't see why; this country has been in a major war every decade. The military has plenty of practice on dropping bombs and murdering innocent civilians from their military conquests.

Who the hell that's over 10 still plays with dolls? I never understood the attraction of action figures. I mean, they just stand there and tip over. I'll admit that I have (well now they're in a box) some Spawn action figures but that's because they look menacing and evil.

I had a little trouble with that groove at first but now I use it just to piss my friends off. It is murder.

I feel kind of weird opening a topic just on this, but I was playing the game with some friends today and we were discussing which groove is the best. I think N is the best because it's the classic Advanced mode in KoF98 which I really liked. And you can do Level 3 moves in it by enabling Max Mode. Most of my friends just use C groove because it's just like SF:Alpha series and they are more familiar with that. I'm the only die-hard SNK fan amongst us so I have to stick with the N!

Well the gameplay in CvS and CvS2 changed because they weren't KoF games. . They were Capcom-ized SNK characters. Nothing wrong with that though, just different. But I think Sammy will adhere to the basic KoF gameplay framework ie. punching and kicking. But every new KoF game had some pretty big changes to the gameplay (for better or worse). Just take a look at KoF2003. That's a HUGE change in gameplay mechanics. And with those Guilty Gear minds working on KoF, you can except some pretty nifty things to happen.

Honestly Gryph, do you really care so much about the dialogue in a fighting game? Why don't you just change the region of Vampire Savior 2 into USA? That's what I did and it works like a charm. What happened to calling me Mr. G?! Wait, I thought the Japanese version was ONLY in Japanese. I didn't know you can change the region in Japanese versions of games. Well thanks for that bit of info. That totally makes my question useless. And you're right about the dialogue. But whenever I see Japanense text, I just have to know what is says so it pisses me off that its in Japanese. I feel like I'm missing out on some huge secret. Off to get Jap version!

The NeoGeo had a great run. Some of the best games ever. Now lets hope that Sammy can keep up the tradition. And from what I've played of Guilty Gear, they seem to have some talent. It's kind of weird how you need an uber-computer to emulate a not-so-uber console/arcade machine. Since it is basically a toned down Dreamcast. We haven't even gotten a proper running Dreamcast emulator so far. Perhaps someone will emulate Atomiswave FOR the Dreamcast since the instructions are practically the same (well I'm assuming that). Then someone will just have to dump the ROMs (which will probably be HUGE) and run them like any other DC ISO. That would be cool. Yes well, a toast to NeoGeo. You will always be remembered. (Why am I pretending that the NeoGeo can hear and understand this, because I'm insane.)

Ah well that sucks. Guess I'll just have to get Vampire Hunter and Vampire Savior. I wish I knew Japanese...
