Aha! I saw a ricer today and remebered that annoys me to the max. Also stupid stickers on the car to make it look flashy. Also, moronic mods which do nothing to enhance performace ie. spoilers, fish-body thing, and flashy paint. Also, those sound systems on cars with loud, annoying bass. Usually its the ricers that have that. And lowriders...those are even worse.

Hmm...I'm using XP as well. Ok. Right click on the icon and go to the Compatibility tab. Check "Run in 256 Colors" and "Disable Visual Themes." If that doesn't work, check "Run in 640x480". And if that doesn't work, run it in Windows 95 mode...it's worth a shot.

Here is what the video section of my mugen.cfg file looks like. Hope it helps. I too used to get this problem but it let me switch to 640x480x16... In your mwc.dat, is the resolution set for 640x480? If it is, change it something else like 1024x768. Then when you start MUGEN, it'll ask you to change it... And mess around with the VESA settings. I'm using VESA 1 with double buffering.

Don't worry about this. I got it to work. I just had to put the fonts in the font directory and the other stuff in the data folder.

I downloaded a CVS2 lifebar and followed the very sad instructions it gave and it didn't work. How do I go about doing this?

Meh, it's tough at first but you finally get used to it. I lost my Sidewinder gamepad and I've been hating myself for it since I got back into emulation.

If you are using the latest VDM update, don't. I had the same problem as you. I unistalled VDM and reinstalled it without updating it and it works fine. But when I exit, the desktop graphics are all f*cked up. That didn't happen before, but its easier to fix than the sound.

I used VDMSound but the command prompt hangs after Initializing Keyboard. It never gets past that? Did you do anything else, Cinder, to get it to work? I think I read somewhere that you have to enable somthing in the Control Panel but I don't what, why, or where.

I too get this problem...I hope someone knows how to fix this. Sound works without VDM but it sounds like crap. And when I try to Run with VDM, it hangs at Initializing Keyboard... Help please?

According to IMDB, Dave Chappelle was never on SNL. Never even a host. But he's hilarious, I love his comedy.

I must say that I was extremely disappointed with it. With a little extra effort the game could have been a lot better. But I won't say it sucks, because I don't think it's THAT bad. The animations were pretty bad, especially the hurricane kick and all of Sagat's moves. The Capcom characters don't look right with the SNK style but the SNK characters look fine in Capcom...weird.

Well I'm sorry. Calm down there... There isn't a decent arcade 200 hundred miles from where I live. All the arcades where I life have Crusin' USA and Area 51. But when I do get a chance to go to a badass arcade (this one in Houston called FunPlex), I spend quite a lot. Last time I went I spent $82 at that arcade, so I'm no ultra-freeloader, just a semi-freeloader. It's just that ROMs are the only way I can play these games. I actually pay for my PC games(so sad and naive I am) and I'm not buying a console just to play 2 games...I need that cash for med school I apologize for sounding like a desperate freeloading bastard. And I'm a pessimist with no experience, so I complain about everything

Yes hello, I'm extremely new to MUGEN. Actually I just learned about it tonight and I must say that I am thrilled at what I can do with it. But first I would like to know if there are any publicly downloadable coversions so that I can test it out and see if its really worth my time.
