  1. I am now an absurdist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absurdism Quick clip for those too lazy to click the link: Absurdism is a philosophy stating that the efforts of humanity to find meaning in the universe will ultimately fail (and, hence, are absurd) because no such meaning exists, at least in relation to humanity.
  2. That's a good positive look on anything. At least they aren't butts.
  3. Shacknews' review is up: http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=668 Its wierd cause you can download it. Rapidshare will take days without an account and with my job that im going to get, ,might as well fork up 1 day of pay. I buy most of my games now. The torrent was out late last week I think. i wish I messed around with those hacks but I didn't have any time. Was that DX10 stuff in DX9 even a hack? I thought it was just a few changed values in the config files? "So it's a good thing Crysis isn't just a tech demo, as many snarky internet armchair pundits have cynically declared prior to the game's release." - Chris Remo, Shacknews Editor-in-Chief If you played the demo then you know it's no tech demo. The gameplay is deeply satisfying.
  4. The Crysis demo was super awesome. Not just the graphics, but the gameplay was really great. I'm definitely going to buy this on Wednesday.
  5. I got my grades back today. Out of the 3 tests I've taken so far I've done the best on this. Woohoo!!!! What an odd feeling. To celebrate I bought Call of Duty 4.
  6. At least it will pay off in the end, school and gaming-wise. Bioshock was one hell of a ride the first time through, unfortunately I haven't played it much since I bought it. Actually I'm pretty disappointed in the game overall.
  7. I hear and understand you loud and clear, GC. At least I have other things to channel those feelings through. I used to be an optimist (lol in elementary school) but no more.
  8. Bioshock. I still haven't finished it. From what people tell me I'm just past the half way mark. flocking school coming in between my gaming.
  9. The one I have right now was my original one which I originally kept for over a year. Then I changed it frequently and now I'm back as Kramer.
  10. There is a high probability that this game is totally going to kick ass. Contra makes up part of my earliest gaming memories and the series is a total tribute to being badass. It almost makes me with I had a DS. Anyway, check out the flash site with lots of explosions and a remix of the theme song repeating. http://www.konami-data.com/officialsites/contra4/ The page is loaded in the background with the theme music. Rocking.
  11. Physics, all branches of it from astro to quantum, totally blows me away. I have so much respect for physicists.
  12. I failed my driving part of my license test the first time because I went 45 in a 35 zone.
  13. Med school test. It was our third test this semester. The biochem part covered ALL biochemical pathways and metabolism and genetic testing methods. The cell bio part covered striated and smooth muscle, apoptosis, and cell junctions so that was easy. The immunology test covered intro material like hematopoesis, innate response, phagocytosis, and other basic stuff. What made it so hard is that the teachers really went all out with the clinical correlations crap and ugh. It's over so that's good, right?
  14. Hold me. Well, the first part was the hardest thing. The other two courses were fine. Not much point to this thread, I just got back from it and wanted to vent. What were some of your hardest tests?
  15. 5'7" (I'm short ) and I weigh 150 now.
  16. I was not too impressed with the Jericho demo.
