  1. Vista comes with legacy DX9 support.
  2. DX10 is Vista only. I wouldn't get a DX10 card just yet. By the time games that use DX10 come out, the 8800s will already be old. Might as well get something that's smaller, uses less energy, adn produces less heat. And I'd also wait for ATI's offerings since rumors are that its uber powerful.
  3. I love not having to have a loader to play new NeoGeo games anymore.
  4. Adobe ImageReady lets you make animated GIFs. But I find animated gifs distracting and tacky.
  5. Yeah, seriously. I think the PC I have is probably going to be my last gaming PC ever. Pretty much anything good I want to play on PC will be out on at least the 360. That's why I got the 360 controller for my PC so I can slowly make the transition.
  6. Shiba, since you're getting that new hardcore PC, I'd wait and get the PC version since its identical to the 360. If you have a wired 360 controller than you can plug it into your PC and you're completely set. Agozer, you should completely skip the Rainbow Six game that came before this, Lockdown. What a complete piece of goddamn crap it was. A pure disgrace to the name Rainbow Six. Vegas isn't like the first 3 but its still quite good.
  7. I got this PC and I'm really enjoying it. I'm also giving up mouse+keyboard for the 360 controller just so I can get used to it and it is working out quite well. I just wish there was rumble support.
  8. Do you guys watch the news? Seattle is going through major weather problems and the power is out. Many of the servers are down. This illustrates a major problem steam has: not being able to play single player games. I wanted to play some HL2 today but I couldn't. THey need more servers around the country.
  9. Beat him over the head with a bat if he does it again.
  10. Oh yeah, Sin:Episodes as Rag mentioned is a good twitch shooter.
  11. Serious Sam 2 blows. What a piece of crap. I recommend Quake I, Quake III, and UT (1 and 2k4).
  12. I'll merge these two help requests threads.
  13. You need a BIOS to play games. There are no free ones. We cannot and will not tell you where to get one. Good luck though.
  14. I think Joy2Key should work. I'm going to try it later. I'll tell you how it goes. EDIT: I don't think I know what I'm saying. Is there a way to let me use the D pad in Kawaks and stuff? Will the XBCD 360 setup have that stuff?
  15. Alright, due to lack of Rumblepad 2s with none in stock for a long time to come, I got a 360 controller.
  16. Wow, that's a pretty big shift. Seems like a good move since the DS will probably outsell PS3 and Wii for a long time to come.
  17. That is when you have to rely on other people's decency to not rip you off.
  18. Hahaha, I can only imagine what the mother's reaction was.
  19. As a seller I always give feedback once I have physical money in hand. Or after the other person leaves feedback.
  20. Yes, I have considered the 360 controller. I was hoping for something closer to the $20 range instead of $40. I really love the feel of the 360 controller because it fits my hands so perfectly and I prefer the locations of the two analog sticks but I never liked its d-pad so much. I'll probably have to feel the Rumblepad 2 before I purchase it, of course, but the 360 controller is high in the running.
  21. Oh wow, that looks like a really nice gamepad. Plus that's quite possibly the best product endorsement ever. Now to find it for cheap... Thanks
