I edited the title to indicate that there will be spoilers in this thread. I think it was a great season beginning because it introduced a whole new set of mysteries. I love the show because it rarely answers any questions and keeps me entertained for a long time. I have a feeling they might kill of Sawyer soon since if you noticed they never showed him with a bandage over an injection mark. I hope not since they seem to be opening up the romance between him and Kate. Plus he's a cool character. Unless the injection thing is a sham that Ben aka "Henry Gale" uses to control the rest of the rest of The Others. I can't wait to see the rescue attempt and what happened to Sayid, Sun, and Jin. AGH NEXT WEDNESDAY CAN'T COME QUICK ENOUGH!

Introversion is releasing Defcon on the 29th which you can pre-order from Steam for just $10. Looks like a fun game and I've been enjoying their earlier 2 games. Support independant developers! I've also been playing both Quake 4 and Half-Life 2 again. Quake 4 is a fun game though not something I would pay full price for. I got the special edition DVD for $20 from Fry's. Half-Life 2 is, of course, definitely worth it. This is my 3rd time playing though HL2 and I'm still not tired of it despite it's linearity. Just a great game through and through. On the non gaming side I'm still trying to write my college application essays as well as trying to do well in English and Spanish.

What was the scarring picture that Fatal posted a few pages back? I missed out on that.

Doing into Safe Mode and trying to fix DirectX by deleting critical DX files. I was hoping that deleting them and then reinstalling would fix it. I had to reinstall Windows.

X-Arcade makes nice solid sticks I hear.

I don't know if you've beaten the game yet so I'll describe without spoiling it. At the end (last 5 or so minutes in the game) you have to run out of a collapsing area. I would always get crushed no matter how fast I moved. I needed to get a trainer to increase my walking speed to beat it.

I saw Dr. Strangelove for the 50th time yesterday. What a great movie. I highly recommend it.

This game is really awesome. It gets really hard sometimes though. At the end I had to cheat because of a bug.

Wii. PS3 is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Plus Wii looks like it will have fun games.

Wait, how do you figure that? Maybe I'm missing something, but all I see about Wii Points in that link is the mention of having to buy the the web browser and that 2000 Wii Points will be $24 CDN. Is there another article somewhere that mentions how the Wii points are sold and/or how much stuff costs? Anyway, in MS's defense, there are lots of items that are 100-150 MS Points (themes, icons, etc...). Really, any sort of point system like this is "scammy", that's the whole idea. The best way would be to just allow you to buy items with straight up cash/credit and have all the items priced in real dollars. But having items listed in terms of "MS Points" or "Wii Points" makes it feel a bit less like you are spending real money and also attempts to make you lose track what items are actually costing you in real dollars. But, oh well, it's pretty much all small dollar amounts anyway. I read somewhere that they'll be selling points in multiples of 500. I read a lot of articles about the Wii yesterday so I don't remember where exactly it was. But I agree, they're both scammy. I would much rather prefer actual dollar amounts.

I was hoping for $200 but $250 isn't that bad. The Wii points sound better than XBOX LIve points because with XBOX Live you have to buy them in sets of 500, 1000, etc. but stuff costs 400, 800, etc. making you pay more. Atleast that's what I gather. Nintendo's system is more straight forward and less "scammy."
