This past weekend I took the MCAT exam, this week school started, I have the AMCAS application due soon so I have to get my Personal Statement all perfect, and I need to write descriptions for all 10 of my extracurriculars. God I hate this. I thought the classes I signed up for this semester were going to be easy but what a load of crock that was. After this AMCAS is sent off and verified then I'll be inundated with secondary applications where I'll have to write a minimum of 3 essays for each (I'm applying to about 30-50 schools so do the math). ((((((((((((( I hope to become more active soon and help get 1emu v.3 on the path to completion. I wanted to talk about stuff that GameCop mentioned in his blog but that will have to wait. But if any thoughts or suggestions about expanding the site's content then please comment here. And the most immediate reason I haven't been around is that my main harddrive crashed and I had to install a new drive, format, install Windows, and start from scratch. I hate technology.

I played it once the day it came out. It wasn't bad but nothing I see myself playing a lot. It's a good effort releasing it for free though.

But what I was trying to say was that those benchmarks didn't include any Athlon 64s so you can't compare it to that, just to the P4s which are known to suck anyway, atleast for games and stuff.

Haze showed some impressive numbers showing how much better the Core Duos performed in MAME. However, those were compared to the P4 so a real good comparison...

I just got back from the movie and I was impressed. I expected a campy not so good movie with a few cool lines from Samuel L. Jackson but it was actually a fun summer flick. Its something I would only see in the theatres because the audience reaction really enhances the movie.

EA controls all of them. This is both a stupid and smart way to make people upgrade to the latest waste of $60 sports game.

The reason this movie is getting all this hype is because there was NO PR team. ALL of the hype comes from the name and the Internet. The studio did a smart thing by just letting it go and not interfering with anything. If you don't understand it then don't try to understand it because your mind cannot comprehend it. This movie separates the apes from the humans, the snakes from the planes, and the people who know a good time when they see one from people don't recognize the camp and B-ness and pure badassary if it sledgehammered them in the nuts. And the surprising thing is that people have been reporting that the movie is actually good. That just makes it all the better.

If you're so bored and want to play games then you should go and buy the system and the games for it. But yes, there is a Playstation 2 emulator but it does not play enough games at a good enough frame rate yet. The team is making great progress lately though. Check out their main page for news, pictures, and the latest downloads. You can download the current version but I don't think it will do what you want it to do. Please do explain THAT concept to me; I don't understand how that is even possible! Nintendo Wii will have a Virtual Console thing which includes: NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, and TurboGrafx16 (selected games for all of these systems but expect the most from the Nintendo ones). It is also fully backwards compatible with Gamecube but that's not virtual, it's in the hardware.

There have been no reliable spec leaks yet. But yes, it will be low on specs. I like it that it will be cheaper for everyone, gamers, developers, and publishers.

Normal DVD-ROMs can't read GD-ROM discs.

I don't detect any anti-PS3 bias in those choices at all. Nope, none at all. But anyway, I'm not really sure. So far the Wii is the one I would likely get.
