Not to mention that most of the people who attend the show have no business being there. Hopefully a smaller, more focused trade show will arise just for business dealings and instead of only showing the press the games, they'll just release it straight to us, the gamers, instead.

Also, ATi Radeon X1000 series AND Crossfire pwn ALL Nvidia cards and SLI. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're so wrong. Conroe performs better than the comparable Athlon. AMD has slashed prices dramatically just to not be completely owned. I'd say that Nvidia and ATI are both neck and neck and depends on which company you prefer to go with. I sort of agree with K'dash on the length of this generation of graphics hardware. I think Shader Model 3 and DX10 will last a very long time but they will continue to make cards faster and faster with more texture memory. I'm very interested in seeing how Havok effects physics will pan out on SLI and Crossfire. I never imagined myself ever going SLI or Crossfire but if what they show is better than getting PhysX then might as well go for that. Meaningful gameplay physics on accelerated hardware is far far away so effects physics is a tough sell to me. It won't really happen till next console generation.

I don't like the prospect of lesser competition. I hope Nvidia won't be gimped since I happen to like their products.

Right click on the game and go to properties. There should be a controller or input device tab. Make sure it's set to keyboard.

Where are you having trouble? Can you not get anything at all to work? Is it giving any error messages? What games are you trying to get to work? Can you atleast get the PONG game that is included (is it still included?) to work? Here's what you need: 1.) A MAME build that you like. 2.) BIOS for the system you wish to emulate. Don't ask where to find it here. Place it in the "roms" directory or set the BIOS directory to wherever they are stored. 3.) Place the ROM files in the "roms" folder. Please don't ask where to download those either. The ROM sets have to be supported by MAME or else they will not work.

I'll probably go see it next weekend. I wish I had time this weekend.

Sounds awesome. I've been looking forward to this movie for a while but I don't think it will play here anytime soon. I'll have to wait for it come on DVD.

It's not new tech, it's just been the first time it's been used extensively as a gameplay feature. It's also one of the few games that have dynamic portals. Other games also have portals but are restricted in movement and stuff. Actually, I feel that portals weren't used to their full potential. Hopefully they'll make some really whacked out puzzles with it in the sequel.

Try the demo and find out yourself. I never finished Halo 2 singleplayer because I wasn't really enjoying it but Halo 2's multiplayer is much better than Prey.

To be fair to Valve, they hired the students that made the indie game Narbacular Drop which uses portal technology to solve puzzles.

I found it to be a bit easy too. I'd give it about an 8.5 or so. Great level design, fun combat, and I particularly enjoyed the Deathwalking. It would have been nice to have more enemy variety and more portal puzzles.

It's outselling the PSP because it's a good gaming system instead of an overpriced portable movie player with lame ports and a handful of decent games. Overtime I expect the PSP's library to improve significantly but right now there is no reason for me to even consider getting one.

Every system needs new better games. But the game for DS are already pretty sweet.

Death of a Showman is the worst level in the game. I know it's a tutorial mission so they made it linear but damn it sucks. Excellent game. I just played some Prey.

If you've been paying any attention at all to the news then you should know by now that crap is really escalating in the Middle East. Israel has launched an attack on Lebanon to get back some kidnapped soldiers. What do you think about all of this? Do you believe this could lead to a much larger conflict involving other major powers? I just wish they could all sit back, smoke a peace bong, and hug each other. It would royally suck if it turns into an all out war.
