Black is actually a decent colour for consoles and computers as long as you keep them away from sunlight. The reason being that as well as absorbing heat it also lets it escape a lot more efficiently. Then again you can always just use fan overkill heh My tip would be to not have your console sat on the carpet. If you need to have it on the floor then sit it on top of a hardback book or something. /me goes off to melt stuff

You can put as many as you want on the disk. Just put all the sbis you want into c:selfboot. Then use inducer.exe and follow the rest of the instructions as above. Probably the best combination is to use Dreamweaver and Fireworks. They are designed to work together and making good looking menus, buttons, imagemaps and frontends for your page is pretty easy. I use Photoshop for most of my web graphics though. It makes me, someone who has pretty average art skills, look talented heh. eg for a simple side bar, I make the image then split it into seperate pngs, each with thier own link. Paint Shop Pro or GIMP can probably do just as a good a job though.

I must be one of the few people who likes the Xbox. I think I am like most Dreamcast fans and bought an Xbox because of Sega's support for the console. Of course, I like my Gamecube more The thing that baffles me is that the(PAL. NTSC PS2 is actually ok) PS2 does so well. If the Gamecube was thrashing the opposition then maybe I would understand but the PS2....... I mean here in the UK the gamecube is lagging waaaay behind in 3rd place. The Xbox package over Xmas (Xbox, JSRF, Sega GT2002, Splinter Cell & Halo for £187) has sold massively but both came no where near the PS2 sales. Also GAME said that 34% more Xbox games had been sold for Xbox and GC over the same period. As for exclusive games, it doesn't have too many but the line up for this year looks promising (Perfect Dark Zero, Halo 2, Doom 3, Deus Ex 2, Kameo: Elements of Power, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Fable, Project gotham 2, Ninja Gaiden, Black and White 2, Counter Strike, Driver 3, Mafia, Sam n Max 2, Full throttle 2, Soul Calibur 2, Shenmue 3). I think Microsoft are building up a customer base and a name for themselves with the current Xbox. I see no reason why all 3 consoles won't survive. There has never been a games market like this before. Video games are now a billion dollar business and have overtaken music and movies as the biggest, most profitable forms of entertainment.

I have only seen a few pictures but I hope to god that Raw 2 is better than the first one. Raw on Xbox was pure eye candy but anyone here will testify that emulation lovers prove that graphics mean nothing without the gameplay. My main gripe is that THQ choose a different control system for every wrestling game they make. It's pretty obvious that the Smackdown PS2 one is more fluid and fun to play, so hopefully they get rid of the old slow crap on Raw 1. anyway, the big new things are many more game modes, a season mode (big miss from the first game), a better CAW mode with lots more options, and probably other stuff. I just want better controls and I will be happy. If it is anything like No Mercy on N64 then I will be happy because that is probably the only wrestling game which I have ever truely loved.

That is pretty likely BUT if they actually make this game as good as it sounds then I will gladly pay a monthly fee for an MMORPG for the first time I was never too keen on everquest and the only other MMRPG I played a lot was PSO 1 & 2. The PAL version had no hunters license fee so that made it even better. We haven't had a really good Star wars game (minus maybe pod racer and Jedi Knight II) for years and its about time we got one. I mean it's the best license in the world!!! Surely you can't mess it up anymore! Another star wars game looks good. Knights of the republic I think it's called. It is an RPG for PC and Xbox made by Bioware (Baldurs Gate II, Neverwinter Nights etc), so it is in good hands.

I never make new years resolutions because I just end up never keeping my word. I think if you are going to do something to improve your life then you shouldn't have to wait till new year to do it Having said that, more roms and ISOs is a good one

dcemulation is a good site. I haven't posted there for months though. Just make sure you don't ask about roms, Segagen and ISOs as they will start the Nazi treatment Ask about all those things here instead

Ok I can help with this one. Firstly Dreamcast Factory does work with this version (0.9.8 ) as long as you don't try to remove the pumpkins. I prefer to use selfboot inducer and here is how:- Get the following cd burning programs http://www.ahead.de/ Nero Burner http://www.padus.com/ DiscJuggler Either will do. Personally I prefer Nero. Next you need SBI which you can get from http://consolevision.com/members/burnero/. Download the latest Dreamsnes (0.9.8 ) SBI pack from http://dipacks.cjb.net/ A CD-R (CDRW won't work) Lots of roms You now have everything you need to get a selfbooting copy of Dreamsnes for your Dreamcast. Burning:- 1. Install Selfboot Inducer to C:Selfboot. Changing the name of the folder can cause problems so just keep it default. 2. Put the Dreamsnes.SBI that you downloaded from http://dipacks.cjb.net/ into c:selfboot. (NB you can put other sbi's on the same disk if you want. eg you can have Dreamsnes and DcGnuboy on the same cd. Just add them to c:selfboot) 3. Once you have all the sbi files you want in c:selfboot, run Inducer.exe. This will extract the files into thier correct folders to be burned. 4. Now you want to add your roms. So for Dreamsnes, your roms go into a folder "Roms" (ie C:\selfbootinducer\Roms). For other emulators you need to make different folders eg for DCGnuboy it would be c:\selfbootinducer\gb. 5. Lastly, when you have all your roms in the correct folder (making sure that the image will fit on one CD ) run Selfboot.exe. You will be prompted if you want to use CDRecord, choose NO. I recommend Nero DAO method. After this you should have a newly created nrg or cdi image. Just open up Nero or Discjuggler accordingly and open the image. You don't have to change any settings as it is all contained in the image. Stick in your Dreamcast, Power it up, orgasm at the Snes goodness If anyone has trouble with this or wants some more help, feel free to ask.

I also suggest you learn some basic html before using any of these packages. Dreamweaver is definately the best web design software available. The results can be very proffessional indeed if you take a bit of time to learn how to use it.

Is MK:DA any good? I haven't enjoyed (understatement. Pure hatred would be more appropriate) any MK game since the skank that was Ultimate Trilogy. I might get it for Xbox if it is decent, seeing that my Xbox finally got dusted off for Splinter Cell and is back in action

I think Xbox 2 will be the next big console release. Basically because Xbox will find it hard to recover from the awful start it has had. Although the rumours that Microsoft might buy Sega have given it a big boost. The PS3 will be out soon after though. I however expect SOny to milk the PS2 for all it's worth, so maybe it won't come out till 2004-05. I don't like the PS2 much but GTA: Vice City is one of the most fun things I have played in a long time. They took GTA3 and got rid of what I didn't like about it and replaced it with stuff I love. Shame it is PS2 exclusive for the next couple of years because I refuse to buy a PAL PS2 (they suck big time) and I can't afford an NTSC one at the moment. Nintendo will probably be the last to release a new next gen console. There could be a new handheld in the near future though. I am *really* interested to see what the "Megaton" thing is. Some people say Nintendo merging with Sega (*drools*) other people say something to do with pokemon and others like me, just have to wait and see. Either way, I know it's going to be special

The game is really atmospheric and totally reminded me of the movie. Even up to zooming in on pictures, sharpening the images and searching for clues. It's good fun while it lasts. Crap...now I might just have to go play it all over again. Well, maybe not. I just got Splinter Cell and it is the most amazing game experience I have had for months. The graphics are simply stunning. My roommate thought I was watching a movie! I really like the look of Dragons lair 3D for the Xbox too. The graphics are excellent and it will be nice to have full control of Dirk.

You can probably get a Geforce 4 440Mx for about £90-£100 now. The all important thing is the motherboard though and what it can handle.
