Statement of UEFA seems, it's ok since both teams got the same pattern of playing. A team with 8 days rest between matches VS a team with 3 days rest is seen as unfair (throughout competition). But I agree, dunno what could be that different in this years series to others

I think he focussed on Europe series. Let press and millions talk. I don't see why losing today is a problem of a single player. Vice versa, it's pretty sad people wanna see him doing 11's men work. Am guessing Frings won't run that much as he did last matches. He's the key between defense and offense. For Podolski's position, there was a shooting machine which made 75% of the goals.
