  5. Short Version, provided by Joystiq. Square Enix has revealed a partial list of titles that will be on hand at E3. The lineup is bursting with redonculous amounts of Final Fantasy action: * Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII (Mobile) * Children of Mana (DS) * Dawn of Mana (PS2) * Dirge of Cerberus - Final Fantasy VII (PS2) * Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS) * Final Fantasy I (Mobile) * Final Fantasy III (DS) * Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA) * Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA) * Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan (PC, PS2, Xbox 360) * Final Fantasy XII (PS2) * Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PSP) * Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (PS2) In addition, on Monday, May 8, Square Enix will host a press briefing, where, presumably, some juicy next-gen titles (not listed above) will be introduced to the world. Gameindustry.biz has the more detailed press release.
  6. The only reason I like American Idol is because they show off people who you know, actually have singing skills, only to have them degrade afterwards when getting signed and becoming all fake popstar. Shiet, Kelly Clarkson can sing, and it's good she's slowly taking control of her career now. Before they were writing all her songs and she just sang them, now she's taking a crack at song writing. Her last album was half written by her if I recall.

  10. It's just pure speculation on my part for that one. I'm assuming so because they didn't return.
  11. Alrite, just came back from the movie. It beat my expectations, it's in fact, very true to the source. It shouldn't be passed on upon, because both VG fans and none alike are going to like this movie (my date didn't know it was based on a video game). The soundtrack is what strikes me as the best thing about the whole film. Because Akira Yamaoka worked on the film. You can practically tell when it's Yamaoka's work playing in the background, infact, almost all music IN the film is by him (there is some nice fitting Cash song used too). The film is, by all means, a different experience from the games, but it still contains the fear we know from the games, espeically pyschologically. Every single character has genuine emotion, and practically all of them express all of it. There are some problems of course that only hardcore SH fans will say "No way, thats wrong, this is all wrong." I'll say it now; Screw you The movie does justice to the video games, while lacking in some departments, such as certain monsters should be getting more air time, it will satisfy you. Without going into much detail, this post seems broken. So, it's spoiler time! Overall, check it out. Everything is recreated faithfully. Everything. Also like the games, there is alot of room for interpertation on everything, from the imagery all the way too wording. (Just like the games folks!)

  21. A few other publishers dumped Starforce. An MMO that was in Beta testing god massive negative feedback for using Starforce. Due to an NDA, they didn't reveal which MMO it was.
  22. Ubisoft officially dumps Starforce Citing "complaints," the publisher ends its relationship with the copyright-protection provider. Following several days of rumors, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that it will no longer use the controversial digital-rights software from Starforce. "Ubisoft has decided to use an alternative copy-protection system to Starforce for upcoming releases," said a rep for the company. The announcement means that Starforce software will not be included in Heroes of Might and Magic V, the publisher's much-anticipated forthcoming PC role-playing game. Ubisoft's decision caps weeks of controversy surrounding Starforce. In mid-March, an employee of the Russian-German-Chinese-Cypriot company was accused of posting a link to a site where users could illegally download Stardock's space sim Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords. Shortly, thereafter, Aspyr Media decided to sever its relationship with Starforce and remove its software from its forthcoming game, Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars. Ubisoft's motivation for ending its agreement with Starforce was more personal. At the end of March, the company was slapped with a $5 million lawsuit by gamers who claimed that Starforce's DRM system compromised the security of their PCs. "We are currently investigating complaints about alleged problems with Starforce's software," said the Ubisoft rep. Gamespot.com
