Though fans may hope director Peter Jackson (King Kong, The Lord of the Rings) decides to change his mind and actually move behind the camera for Halo's silver screen debut, rumors suggest he's sitting firmly in the executive producer chair as directors are looked at. Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Blade II) is the first name to crop up, says film news site IESB, spurred during a press junket for Jackson's King Kong remake. Jackson hasn't made any public comments about directorial choices, and Del Toro was previously said to be into pre-production on a Hellboy sequel for Sony and Revolution Studios. There's likely to be more than a few questions regarding Halo directed at Jackson during the hundreds of interviews he'll be conducting for the promotion of King Kong, though, so just stay tuned until the tidbits start leaking. - 1up.com This movie will not suck. lol Simple 2000 titles in japan (Some of them made it to Europe actually, FUN as hell games actually) 80% of all PS2 titles in america, pretty much no quality control at all.

Various colours of the PSX were released to devs only, anyone remember the blue PSX. The Yazu black on was availble to the public, it just cost much more because it was development kit for nerds. Similar too Linux PS2.

ATi made both the Revolution "Broadway" Graphics Chip and the 360 graphics chip, PS3 is using an nVidia core. But all 3 CPUs are made by IBM.

Well when the 360 kits came out games ranged from Xbox-like to very awesome. So with this, will have to wait and see.

That's quiet an interesting angle... I also hear that they are NOT planning to even go up against MS or Sony. They plan, to find a place for them alone... rather then risk (and probably lose) going up against them. Wise move I'd say, they have tried to be too different in the past, but at the same time go up against the other major companies. They haven't faired to well in that war, maybe this new angle will work. Also, DS is really popular? I don't know anyone who owns one. It is a risk because they are truely aiming higher audience (everyone else including us) then MS & Sony's current demographic (us + casual gamers). You just misheard, they are going into this generation, but with a completely different strat, currently, the Beta SDKs for Rev is currently Gamecube ++ Calibur, so there is enough time. There are also hints of a very stable selectable titles for teh launch, it's just too early to tell, but yeah. In other news, Sony is demoing the PS3 at next year's CES.
