  1. I believe this to be an urban legend, but Blizzard was sued by Games Workshop about Warcraft 1 (Orcs & Humans) for taking some liberties from GW's Warhammer Fantasy Battle. There's pretty much this other urban legend that Starcraft was originally suppose to be a Warhammer 40k RTS but never got the rights from GW. As Warcarft O&C was supposedly be a Warhammer Fantasy Battle game but never got the rights to it. Of course this was practically 10 years ago, and at the time, the Warhammer circle was much bigger then it is today. There might be some truth to this as Game Workshop did Fantasy Battle and 40k nearly 10 years before the releases of Warcraft and Starcraft.
  2. Impressive looking yes, but thus far, until they get all their crap together, it is literally a WoW clone from fellow testers. Funny that Warcraft got most of it's inspiration from Warhammer and WH mmo ends up being a WoW-like clone (thus far anyways, until all the content they want is in).
  3. what happens when there are more than 30 char. ? not all of them being used? That + Broken Balance. Also, they need to make Morrigan's boobs bigger.
  4. 7sei-eEjy4g For my Vegas girl! Day 3 will get posted eventually. I got it written down.
  5. Well CPU is dumb, if you get a person into that, they'll know when not to do it. Also about the different versions. I knew the PS2 version was a much later build to what was released in the arcades. It just depends I guess.
  6. 24 characters is not a low roster and we all know what happens when theres more then 30 characters in a game.
  7. You don't just start liking alcohol like any other sort of non-alcoholic drink. You develop a taste and flavor to it. Start off slow and steady with mix drinks (More of flavor, little less alcohol), then work your way from there but changing the amounts.
  8. Jesus, you disappeared off the face of the planet. This is K`dash btw.
  9. I've noticed that it's not exactly like the arcade version. Some of which is the damage modifier on some of the moves is incorrect. Perhaps I'm still playing an old version of SBX at my arc.
  10. You need someone with mod chip or something similar to install it on your memory card.
  11. This is true. I haven't taken a good look at the SDK yet (since I don't have the game yet) but alot of hate seems to stem from the fact it's in game stuff that inacessable. At least we know the problems with Source and Source OB would be it's vehicle and net coding (It's solid for both team & regular deathmatch, but requires alot of work if you plan to do additional features). And only one of those can be improved upon exponentionally.
  12. While very good for developers, I've talked to quiet a few modders, they are impressed with the engine, but totally at awe at the sdk. I've gotten a few "this sucks compared too UT2k3/2k4" and "screw this crap". There only a few dedicated mod teams out there willing to bring a whole new TC to the engine (quite happy that SnowReal is doing pretty well, I'm a big fan of what other things can be done with an engine). Someone could say that it's still early in the cycle for some good mods to come out, but it's pretty much Source all over again. No good mods out in the first 6 months of release, now there's just, what? Zombie Panic: Source (I test that!), Empires (get's alot of play on Euro servers more then American ones), Insurgency (Realistic shooter TC), Pirates, Vikings & Knights (Fun for the whole family!), Minerva (great SP mod to check out, very good and creative use of vanilla HL2 textures), Hidden: Source (moddb it, decent mod), Dystopia and about 5-6 other good to great quality mods that are out to try out. I can't exactly speak about any unreleased ones, but one to mention is NeoTokyo: Source, which I also test. No release time frame for it, but the game has solid coding and rewards one man armies and not the whole team while still keeping the sense of teamplay with different classes. I believe a teaser video will be up soon for it. Just a worthy thing to say. Edit: Now that I think about it, UT2k3 and 2k4 had TONS of mods that were WIP, but a great majority of them didn't even come out. Just PRAY that mod community doesn't dump it in 12 months time. Because that's what all it took for them to not care about 2k3 and 2k4, dispite the great selection and great quality of mods released like Troopers of Destiny and Red Orchestra.
  13. It wouldn't be the same thing though, that's what I'm trying to say. XP is running on something that's been in the same base code for nearly 12 years now because there couldn't be any other way. Not even XP was completely built around an api like DX, it already had it's core with Win2k. Vista was built from the ground up with DX10 and not vice versa.
  14. See the part I bold in your post? That's why it can't be on XP. The kernel is too different, that's the reason. It would have to be redesigned to be compatible with older operating systems (XP, Win2k) to work. While it is a gimmick to get users to upgrade, it still holds a valid argument on why and how it couldn't be done on previous systems. Many of DX10's techniques are only capable with a complete rewrite of the rendering engine, something the previous DX models all share is a single core that has been improved over the years while DX10 is nearly all new technologies.
  15. Yeah just too bad it only sold what? 3k copies?
  16. We'd also get better joysticks out of it.
  17. I'm still aiming towards UT3 PC version to be the best choice, but with the fact it's still buggy has justified of me buying it yet.
  18. http://www.steampowered.com/dod/palermo/ All you need to know. I'm hitting it up and already preloaded.
  19. Isn't Murphy's Law "Everything bad that happens, will happen." ? Might be just thinking out loud. Also: The Bitches want something that's already taken. Everyone gets that.
  20. The middle act = the practically the whole Office segment of the game. With your flash on and constantly moving. It's good for come out of the darkness frights, but beyond that, it's terrible.
  21. As far it is still planned - am not sure if the PC guys are laughing . I think console versions will have bonus characters the PC one won't. They'll be on the PC too, since the PC port usually comes out after the console versions of the game. The arcade version won't have any bonus "console" characters. PC online will no doubt beat 360 and PS3 in terms of functionality.
  22. Well COD4 isn't realistic as other realistic FPS games. It just takes some liberties from Rainbow 6 and OpFlash. CoD4 is an arcady type of an FPS game.
  23. Least they got Shadowrun and Halo 2 working. Because they didn't really run on DX10, they ran on a OS checker (Install only on Vista). One of the groups cracked it and made it installable able on XP.
  24. Then please explain the above screen.
