  1. I'm debating if I should get it or not. Considering I welcome the changes, I very much prefer classic ST over remixed ST for a varity of reasons. I'm also out of Live so yeah, tough crap for me to go out and get more points and a month live card.
  2. Yes, the first one is LOL. The 2nd one art, something that cannot be replicated no matter how hard someone would try. It's unique because of it. I think this is art as well. Surrealism at it's best.
  3. So Shoma, down for some Super Turbo sometime then?

  5. Honestly, I don't know where they would take COD5. Since COD4 is a game "ripped from the headlines" and all. They could of either went WW2 or Future Battlefield. One things for sure, they can tell a story with their games. COD3 still sucked though.
  6. RE4 didn't require that much in terms of graphical poweress. Bad optimization on their part no doubt, but seeing has Capcom is doing things develop on PC then port Consoles with an engine that's as flexible as they say, just by dumbing down the graphics and cutting back on physics-portion, they can theoritically run RE5 on a PSP and DS. I do believe though, the system req will just be something that the game would actually run on mid-low ranged systems (low range meaning at least a 9800 Pro or nVidia equivelent card).
  7. Not true. KOF is more popular in more far eastern places, such as Pakistan, Korea, Taiwan, HK and Japan then in the Europe, while bootleg culture has lead Mexico and the beyond south to be fully exposed to not only the originals, but hacks of games running on real hardware, while they are no doubt good, they simply don't have the money to fly out and play the best in Japan every year. While European SNK scene is alright, it still outshined by Capcom and 3rd Strike. To support my statement, Tougeki France didn't bother to make qualifiers for TenKa, KOFXI, KOF98 and more recently KOF98UM due to having not many registrations for those games. Tougeki Japan was willing to give an extra international spot for those games (the special seeds for Europe, Aus, America and HK). TF didn't even bother to include HnK into this year's qualifier, but that game isn't as popular anywhere other then HK and Japan.
  8. Sup Ryan, what I tell you bout using my name. You have no right to use it. Now, did you actually try to get into it by playing various people all around? The gameplay is solid and more friendly towards new and casual players, while keeping a sense of advanced high level gameplay, something a majority of other fighting games have failed to do (that includes VF, Tekken and SF3:3rd Strike). People see those fighting games difficult to get into, but when you talk DOA and Smash, other people find those games great, and to the few who think they are nothing more then flashy fanbait titles, are totally wrong.
  9. Maybe because your putting your bias too much on all the visual aspects and now diving into it completely. There is no such counter button. It's 2 buttons actually, F+P.
  10. An eventual PC version of Capcom's Resident Evil 5 (PS3, 360) is quite likely, going by comments made by producer Jun Takeuchi and the studio's past history. Speaking with Eurogamer, Takeuchi revealed that the survival horror title is being primarily developed on the PC and then ported over to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Capcom previously used a similar setup for the development of Devil May Cry 4, which began life as a PS3 exclusive but was eventually moved to Xbox 360 and PC as well. "By developing [DMC4] on the PC, it's very easy for us to work with the graphics and the gameplay, and see how the game is going to play," DMC4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said of the setup last year. "We're still continuing to develop it on the PC, as well as being able to check how it runs on the 360 and the PS3." While Capcom has yet to confirm a PC release of Resident Evil 5, the company has been making a greater effort to support the PC across the past year with internally developed ports. This is mostly due to its MT Framework technology, which simplifies multiplatform development. In fact, the only retail Xbox 360 release Capcom has not ported to the PC thus far is Dead Rising, a zombie-killing Xbox 360 exclusive that arrived in 2006. The following retail title from Capcom, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, hit PC months after the Xbox 360 release, with the PC port Devil May Cry 4 due this summer. Nearly all of Capcom's upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 retail efforts, including Street Fighter IV, Dark Void and Bionic Commando, are slated to hit PC as well. Resident Evil 5 is expected to hit consoles by March 31, 2009. If a PC version were to be released, it would likely follow the console editions due to the optimization work required to support a number of different hardware configurations. Shacknews Their PC ports are getting better and better lately. RE4PC had it's problems no doubt, but Lost Planet was a decent port besides the fact of the DX10 requirement BS of the game. DMC4 looks fantastic on PC and if they play their cards right, will have full support for both normal and 360 controllers. The recent announcement of SF4 on PC as well is something to look out for. As it will most likely offer everything the consoles versions will be offering (and knowing the PC community, mods as well).
  11. Because a tester's job is to find something broken in the game. They don't check *every* single detail, but they check a good portion of it. It's up to the players to find what's linkable, cancelable and abusable. Best check the online gaming forum. A bunch of us talked about it. 2nd page is importantish.
  12. Still waiting on that ST matchup bam (theres an easier way now if your familiar with the FBA emulator, it's called GGPO)
  13. It never occured to me he could single handedly form M$'s japanese gaming division. But that's still a long shot.
  14. From the spacing game, it looks like 3s with a little rush down mechanics more involved. A2 has a very big zoning game with alot of it's characters, adding a dash would still keep it to a zoning game by eliminating more parts of the playing field. SA isn't exactly like an alpha counter though, but I believe alot of us will go into baiting the SA with a safe attack and just counter the canceled dash.
  15. And with that folks, I walk out. I've done my part in annoying you.
  16. "ST base with a CE feel" Your kidding me. They made it feel like CE? That is probably the worst version to try to get the feel too, everyone is broken as hell in that game.
  17. I call it like how I see it. I don't care if you think I'm negative. You want me to complain about the 360 also? Because I can do that if you fancy that. Cuz hell, I hate Microsoft too for all the crap they've done. Weather you like it or not. We're the community that makes or break a system of any kind. We praise 360's online services because it's tight nit and it works nearly 100% of the time. You know, like a PC community. Because, maybe you didn't get the memo, but communities BUILT those systems. The PC, the Nintendos, the Sonys and whatever else will come along. Do you remember a time when IT WAS all about the games and not about the features? With that, if you bought it for the features, your a drone. Another type of fanboy. I fully support upgradable frimware, bluetooth and wifi intaration for a more better online gameplay experience. Read that? A better online gameplay experience. Not for your petty excuse for an all-in-one machine for your living room. I do complain, because right now, that's all it is. How many fanboys bought the system? Alot. Now how many casual players bought one because it was just a cheap blu-ray player? Alot more. I have no quips with people just buying it for extra features, I have a problem with you and your kind of people. Who think it's the God-given grace that fell from the heaven that's made your life better and your preaching to us on WHY it's better in every way no matter what we think. So yeah, I do believe you are a fanboy, your opinion is very similar to a preacher with pyschosis. I thrive on owning the latest tech. I share this with my whole family, we have everything. While I don't own a PS3, but I have other family memebers that do, and they own also 360. Guess which gets the most play? The 360. They bought it for the games and treat all those extra features, as extra features. I know how to handle myself when it comes to technology, and I know your needs are different, but you tell us that your needs are the better then ours and we should change our needs to suit you. You just don't get the communities that built up and put out the cash to buy these systems and computers. I believe, you'll be the one who wants all-in-one VR world that would be visually unimpressive, while I'll be in living in colors.
  18. Stop spouting fail old man. Everyone needs to get over Ash Crimson already. Yes, Crimson Viper is the Capcom Vanessa with added flash, deal with it. Vanessa will always be more awesome. In fact, Capcom managed to make Crimson Viper as fail as Ash Crimson on the design part. SNK has superb characters and everyone knows it. Just because SNK has a couple of stock characters, doesn't make Capcom any more original. You're forgetting that SNK has a giant roster. There's bound to be a couple of those characters you're so phobic about. Fact of the matter is, SNK has awesome characters. Deal with it. Awesome examples come to mind like Yamazaki or Blue Mary, and the list could go on and on forever. Capcom just can't design characters this good and full of personality. Although SFIII did a lot of catching up. Uh Axl, you DO know KOF characters ARE made from mostly what's popular in Japan at the time right? Ash with his girlyness is an what was going at the time. Vanessa was another thing sweeping through Japan, a tough playful sister type girl.
  19. Exactly! With 25% of the fresh water in the whole world, it's going to become a commdity. Get your bank books out.
  20. Just too bad the Nelson figures aren't released to the public anymore. It has come a long way but I do not think it is the best blu-ray player on the market (as an affordible one, most likely yes), but the prices in blu-ray players is dropping as well. Online infastructuer, while centralized (Good), it still needs alot of work to become a top tier service to match Live's Gold. Well written, but I'm still waiting for the games.
  21. And you saying owning a PS3 justifies not to own a 360? Please. Just what are you? A wolf in sheep's coat? Or a sheep in a wolf's hide? You still don't justify WHY to get a PS3 over a 360 other then it breaks and different taste in games. Even when the big 3rd party titles are coming out on both systems. Your clearly more fanboy then you think yourself as. If I had the choice, I'd prefer all this crap come out on PC then 360 or PS3. As a testament to that, if any title eventually gets ported to PC, I get the PC version over the console one. SF4 for PC ftw. I don't have to whine about paying fees or having a server solution when something like that is meant to be P2P.
  22. Then I found out people started getting DREs and then my PS2 decided to asplode. The problem is I'm a gamer. As a gamer, I don't care about those features, like how I don't care about most of the 360's features. I'm in it for the games, and the games alone. Now I could say I hate everything that's popular, but that's not true for the most part. I love MGS series, I can't wait to play it, but I still think the art direction and look of the game is shit. I don't care how nice it looks to other people, it still looks like shit. Nothing is ever going to change my opinion of that. Also as a gamer; I'm also cheap, which means, can I pirate it? If yes, then it's a good system, if not, well, then it's not worth at least taking a look at it. And I'm not an xbot, but you come off as a PS3 fanboy weather you want to or not. It's projected in your posts and in your distaste to the 360. And to end it: Both do the same thing, it's just a matter of how it's presented. I'm not interested in petty extra features. I want to game, nothing more, nothing less. You can all shove it if you think otherwise.
  23. I hate T.Hawk. For various reasons, I hate his level, I hate his moves, I hate how to do his moves and I hate his tick throw options. He's surprisingly went up this year in SBO Tougeki Ranking (with O.Ken too surprisingly enough as well, DJ went from bottom A to Mid/High A). I believe most of the extra characters will be either time release or console only (Dan, Bruce Lee et al.). It doesn't play anything like ST however, it plays like 3s without parrying. Just with higher damage, like ST. ST lol!
  24. Getting buttons to FIT in side it are a problem.
