  1. Harvest Moon. I dare anyone to say a Farm Sim is boring.
  2. Like they'd do that. The only probable thing they'll add for the PC port is DX10 support and higher draw for onscreen then the console versions. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they took out Multiplayer from the PC release.
  3. So, Montreal beats the Boston Bruins in 7 games. A riot starts, and it's not even the Stanley Cup Final. This is in french, and since I'm lazy to translate, so here's something broken. The Canadiens victory has put some people over spirited. The win has put several places with in the downtown area into dangerous areas. The riot police has been deployed where hundreds of people invaded the streets. Police officers were hit with projectiles and at least five cop cars have been set on fire. This has left Ste-Catherine and various other streets closed off until the riot ends. While there are people partying about the win, there are people vandelizing police cars and now a few shops. These bad apples are what caused the 93 and 86 riots when Montreal won the Cup. I expect further down the stretch, the city will most likely increase police presence. I'll say again, this is only the first round of the Cup playoffs!
  4. Drums are ALMOST like the real thing. Without the extra fills and stuff, but it's an excellent way to pick up the real instrumental because you'll have 3 body parts all adjusted to play it.
  5. I'm stilling waiting on Nevermind. I just hope Doolittle comes out in a rather quick and hopefully challenging fashion.
  6. Open controller, remove PCB, wash all none electrical components, dry everything (really well), place back PCB, connect together, close controller, ???, game.
  7. Judas Priest! That's right, folks. Harmonix promised and they've finally delivered. This week will see the first full album download hit the Marketplace. Now on to the bad news... said album is Judas Priests' Screaming for Vengeance. I guess that's not bad news to JP fans, but it is to me. The album features the following tracks: * The Hellion/Electric Eye * Riding on the Wind * Bloodstone * (Take These) Chains * Pain and Pleasure * Screaming for Vengeance * You’ve Got Another Thing Comin' * Fever * Devil’s Child The album will be available in full for 1200MSP ($14.99) or each track can be nabbed seaparately for 160MSP ($1.99) Sauce Still waiting on Nevermind, The Who's Next. On the plus side, Doolittle is coming! Eventually....
  8. See, the thing with Fatal is, he never really suggests anything, just gets up there and says "nice job." I'd suggest checking out Funeral Songs. Great CD filled with some slow, almost ambiant songs that put forth a very good creepy vibe. I've used it when I've played D&D to express my storytelling isolations.
  9. That's RPG in the literal sense (As in, a pure RPG would be). All we know about RPG gaming is diverted from Dungeons & Dragons with it's competitors and varations. jRPGs are known for being linear compared to wRPGs, but there is no doubt the inspiration has come from PnPRPGs. And because their linear, you can think of them as a very straight forward campaign with only 2-3 choices that dictate the direction of the game. Which could be entertaining or as boring if the players think of it that way. There is also the fact theres Roleplaying and Rollplaying now a days as well, but that's a whole nother topic.
  10. http://gizmodo.com/379190/leaked-clone-war...w-force-hotness Yeah pretty much. Sounds cool, quality sucks. Where is the official one?
  11. enchilada, enchilada, enchilada. I want some enchilada.
  12. RPGs in the first place, come from the old PnP days (a.k.a WAAAAAAAAY before I was born), in which you had your character sheet and his/her stats with your items, spells and abilities etc etc. A good story? A pre-made campaign or one all made up of your own. A great character? You make the decisions on that or use a pre-made. Western RP games are more in tradition to how RPGs are in the first place. A sandbox setting where you have the freedom to do whatever you want, with character creation and direction. Main fact is RPGs rely on stats. Numbers, how you roll, point system, all the same, they effect how well your character does. This is just the tip of the iceberg, as their are many varations on the rules, there is no one set to follow. It could be Strength, Agility, Wisdom for one and Power, Speed and Smarts for another. It can be as easy or complex either way you look at it. You can easily just replace a level up system with skill ranks with a point buy system. Which of course, govern all class skills, such as accuracy, speed etc. (FF fans should think of it as how FF10 with it's Grid System was. No leveling, just ranks for various magics, skills and overall improvement.
  13. JUMP SQ II (pronounced Jump Square Second) is an extra issue of JUMP SQ (something like Akamaru JUMP is to Weekly Jump) and the inaugural issue will be released on April 18th with a huge bang! The issue will come with a special Book in Book (also known as, an extra booklet), Stan Lee the Book. Inside you'll find: - The world's first America-Japan collaboration project between Stan Lee and Takei Hiroyuki (mangaka of Shaman King) titled Karakuri Douji ULTIMO (機巧童子ULTIMO). - A detailed profile and introduction of Stan Lee. - Stan Lee Heroes Tribute Illustration!!! Featuring original art by Katsura Masakazu (I"s, Video Girl Ai), Murata Kousuke (Eyeshield 21), Minowa Yukata (animator for Madhouse), Yamamoto Yamato (Kure-nai), Endou Tatsuya (Tista) and MORE!! Some known facts about the Stan Lee and Takei Hiroyuki collaboration, Karakuri Douji ULTIMO: * It's a prologue chapter (i.e., there will be more chapters to come) * 32 pages in the starting chapter * 3 color pages (a single color page and a double color page spread) Summary of the story: Quote: High above Farmless City, citizens are stunned by the sudden appearance of two floating figures. Are they human boys, monolithic robots, or something much more strange? As the battle ensues between them, destruction and devastation falls on the hapless city. One figure is Vice, and seems to be as evil as his name implies. The other is Ultimo, intent on trying to stop Vice from wreaking more havoc. But who are Vice and Ultimo really? Where did they come from? A new mystery begins with the fate of the world possibly hanging in the balance! More information about Karakuri Douji ULTIMO can be found at the Viz Press Release. The rest of the SQ II magazine will feature extra chapters of SQ series such as Kure-nai, Tista, Gag Manga Biyori, Tegami Bachi and Rozario and Vampire, as well as gag manga extra chapters for Tsumikabatsu, Sekai no Chuushin and Chaos Kitchen. There will also be furoku (gifts) included with the magazine, such as a clear file for Embalming, a poster for Kure-nai (which is joined to the poster that came with SQ #5), and a collage poster for Musical Tennis no Oujisama. The rest of the magazine, which forms the majority of the pages, will contain one shot stories by newcomers as well as Jump mangaka. So look forward to some great manga! FRIKING EPIC sauce Cannot WAIT for this.
  14. If this ain't proof that you're a load of crap then I don't know what else will. Then tell me genius, or do I have go as low as you and call you a faggot?
  15. Well it's true. RPGs rely on statistics, which Zelda doesn't. You can almost run through the whole game just having your sword and shield and 3-5 hearts.
  16. And home still sucks no matter how I look at it. It's still all good in theory, and theory only.
  17. I'm currently entering Football mode and grabbing PES 08 and UEFA Euro 2008 as well. Played both the demos and I was just amazed at both of them. Both of course will be the PC version using a 360 Controller. Then there will be Arcana Heart, which I've been fapping too alot since the american release and Persona 3 FES which is set to come out on 04/22 (next week) and will do a review on that. I actually plan to complete my MB:Actress Again review sometime soon and Akatsuki Blitzkampf, a recent release in Japanese arcades have got me playing it again.
  18. Little like me. I just want to take over the world, no big reason why. I want to just because I can.
  19. You know what, Kefka was an awesome villian. I just hate the fact he was dressed as a friking clown. Nigga just wanted to take over the world, plain and simple. What's wrong with that!
  20. Engine wise, it's been more or less the same for a long time now. But here lies the difference between both games and their genres. Final Fantasy is more statically driven then LoZ. Story wise, it just depends. FF1, 2 and 3 had simple plots that lead you from one place to another. With 2 being the for bearer of things to come with it's character development. 4, 5 and 6 (undoubtably the best Final Fantasy era) put more emphesis on story then gameplay, which was rehashed from 3 (going by the ancient rom). I believe it was 5 that put in the ATB system, and that's what has given us the Final Fantasy we know today. Best comparison. This is actually cream of the crop of RPG compairisons honest to Gods. Both were developed around the same time, both have a HUGE following (more so in Japan for Phantasy Star) and both are known for their great stories and amazing characters. And just to say, Phantasy Star did better with the Online then Final Fantasy did with 11. Even though I played 11 like it was crack. I'd kill for another epic Phantasy Star RPG series that isn't Universe. Sadly, I bet there are only a few who even know the original Phantasy Star series on this board. You all suck. I'm in despair! The lack of people knowing what Phantasy Star is on this board has left me in despair! edit: Bambi, I think FF6 did get an OVA being 100 years after the events of 6. Could be another FF game though, I don't remember, other then it was either 4, 5 or 6 that got an OVA being set 100 years into the future after one of those gaes previous events.
  21. "I STOPPED THE FRIKING BALL AND ALMOST SCORED!" That's all I thought when I stopped the ball and shot it down the rink.
  22. Bingo. As G-man said, 4chan is the source of practically every internet meme you've ever seen. Goatse, Tub girl, RickRolling, Chocolate Rain, BAAAAAAAAAW, D'AAAAAAWWWWWWWW. Mods are Anon users as well, only the admins know who the mods are, FBI them selves frequent the site alot as well, not for the randomness or watching the law breaking (which is very, very frequent), but they watch for potentional threats. They know that users post jailbait, illegal pron and all that other like, but take no action against it, because it isn't on their list of priorities. Mods do exist, but their job is to ban users that break the rules for repeated offenses and their threads, nothing more. Janitors exist to clean up when one board goes to another and troll it up. For example, /b/ going to let's say /g/ and posting dead people. Discussions range from intellectual prespectives too down right trolling and name calling. It's unique that way because 4chan users are from every single part of life. It could be the person down your street, your co-worker, the guy at the check out counter, a police officer, a lawyer, a graphics artist etc etc. All walks of life have come and go on the site, simiarly to the Japanese 2ch, which is used for formal announcements by companies some times such as Sony, whose former president, before leaving, posted on 2chan and said he was sorry for Sony's failures and announced his resignation on the site. Another thing is 2chan's servers aren't based in Japan, but in the USA. Yup, good old USA hosts the japanese 2chan.
  23. Legend of Zelda 2 had more RPG elements, while still a good game, the complaints made them change it for LOZ3. But agreed, both series genres are completely different. Zelda games for the longest time, have been Action-Adventure. It's very straight forward in problem solving puzzles and actions, RPGs tend to be more akin to Pen & Paper games, with static-driven gameplay. Such as grinding your levels to fight a boss.
  24. Then your missing files. CPS3 emulator uses different romsets from both MAME and NFBA.
