To all that have played it. It is highly respectable. Forgotten butthe Final Fantasy that I remember the most, and I beat it before 7 Character design was great (Garnet = cute ) The battle system still needed some time, but it was good. Excellent plot (reminds me of 4 for some reason though). And and, ZADIAN HAS A TAIL!

Xenogears and Xenosaga are related, mentioned offically by the team. Square didn't want to publish the rest of the titles so they left for Namco. There are many reasons why someone would call it an Alternate Universe. But the team them selves said it is not, it is a prequal on how Gears became used more and more. In Xenosaga, they've placed many connections with Xgears, its not funny.

Well its rumored that Xbox games etc will not be compatiable with Xbox2.....If that is the case then MS are gonna lose then next gen console wars by a very large margin... Nope. PS3 is going to have compatibility issues as well. The processors are going to change, thus the games prior are going to be impossible to play. Both Sony and MS are in a pickle over this. If one is able to pull it off, it is the other's demise. Anon. Sony has hired the best emulation authors to make ps3 be able emulate ps1 and ps2... You mean they've hired Frost's friend?! Awesome! Where did you hear this news? Sony was advertising all over the net and in the newspaper for experienced emulation personnel.... Also Sony will make the PS3 backwards compatible with the PS2 and PS1 because thats what gave the PS2 its edge.... I bet its a sting operation. They lure all the best emulators and then arrest them. It'll keep them away from emulating all the other consoles. Or Sony could steal specs from the new XBOX and have them work on that emulator so it would devalue the console when it comes out. Emulators are not illegal (well Nintendo Handheld emulators are)...only the Roms are..... just loading the rom on an emulator is illegal Having the rom image and not owning the original cartridge/CD/DVD is illegal. You have a privilege of keeping backups of your software. isn't it legal if you only use it for private use w/out distribution? It's legal as long as you own the original medium. I have heard that the PS3 will use the Blue Ray Disc technology (1 disc holds 50gb)...lets hope this is true... Let's make this most highly quoted post ever. Blue Ray technology would just kick so much ass. But how can game developers make games that take up 50 gigs...that's just amazing. Just think how much unlockables/other extras 50Gb could hold... Just imagine the pure game content. RPGs would never end. Imagine 50 gigs of Final Fantasy...that's like years of gameplay. Blue-Ray uses a different laser, a blue ray. And thats why there is so much controversy because different companies are working on different technologies so the consumers are going to be flocked. Sony has its Blue-Ray, Toshiba(or Philips) has some other one. They better buckle down and come up with one future technology. FreshyK is correct...Blue Ray will most likely not be compatible with DVD technology.... But DVD's will still be widely used as they will take over CDR's and Blue Ray will take over DVD I go by GryphonKlaw here. But yeah, Blue-Ray will be just like how DVDs aren't playable in CD drives. I'm not voting, because each company has a set of quality titles that diverse and are better above others. KOF isn't a rehash (Although 98 and 2k2 is questionable) of the prior game. They change the system and characters almost every year. And they repsect their arc, unlike Capcom, who have made a lot of Arc mistakes in the past. They ended 2D when SF3:3s (which sucks because they toned down my Ibuki! ) Mortal Kombat went down hill when MK3 came out, the complexed combo system killed it. Although when UMK3 and MKT came out, it fixed everything, but they were too late. (Also Tobais, who is one of the brains behind MK left) Namco makes good 3D fighters. Soul Calibur 2 is an excellent game overall. Unblanced, but not broken. It is still playable. Arc Systems / Sammy are made of both former SF(Capcom) and KOF(SNK) devs. Oh. and Ryu did get a decent, unnoticable change, his bandana chanage Your right about Capcom, SNK and Sammy reusing sprites. At least with SNK, with every "Upgrade" they did, their was a new story. Each story within SF2 upgrades were the same :/

I hated Xenogears because I found the plot somewhat complex and misplaced. Xenosaga was a great movie. Valkyrie Profile is one of the greatest underrated games. FFVII is what braught Final Fantasy back into the world. Dispite people hating it. It has set a medium for RPG's since its release. Yes, it was overrated. I liked it because of its style and plot, althought it was confusing at times. The Battle system was perfected here, although I did like the Job System from the past FF's. FF8 was utter crap. I don't know why people like it. FF9 is the forgotten Final Fantasy. Highly underrated and has the most memorable quotes compared to the others (My sig for example). (You'll remember them, you just can't connect it to the title) Final Fantasy Tactics is also another underrated FF title. The game is simply a master piece. FFX was Square's "beta" test into the PS2. Short, but memorable. FFX-2 is an amazing game, dispite what everyone says. Much lighter then any other. Who says their has to be a Final Fantasy Bible? The team wanted to take it some where else(FOR ONCE, christ, I'm sick of everyone saying its a bad game just because it has a jpopish feel and happy-like). Bring back the classic job and ABS system is great. Kingdom Hearts - Square made Micky Mouse badass. Thats all I have to say. I can't believe no one has said Chrono Trigger! The game is an amazing RPG from Square, and Final Fantasy 1,2 and 4,5, those games are amazing as well. Square pumped out some pretty great games during the S/NES period.

A compact flash HDD is not the same the typical, PC HDD. Xbox2 will not have an hdd pre-se. It might use the memory card to cache data or possibly they might put an expansion slot (ala ps2) The possiblties of their thinking of is cutting manufacturing costs, while still putting out a good product for the market.

What about GG? Every character and their move(s) in the game have a connection to a band or person as a tribute. Heck everything these days are copied from something. "Originality" is just a word to world now. Take a something, and improve upon it. Nothing is truely "original" anymore, just an improved copy of something from the past.

in short, Kusanagi has the same voice as Kaneda's. K` is a tribute to Akira also. Kusanagi and K9999 have special intro in 2k2 (which in short is a tribute to Akira yet again). (off topic: Garaa in Naruto is a direct influence to Akira. When he(Garaa) was young, he had the cape like Akira sans, White Hair. Now, with the current episodes, 70+ Garaa now looks like Tesuto(sp?) sans the cape and white hair, but with freakyish frightening arm and all.)

Dude, I complete agree, my mother asked me why I stopped playing it. Too afraid, I still have it tho. And FF2, wow, I rented that game and played it 9 hours. I stopped playing because it started to freak me out being in my room alone.

Keep in mind that the japanese voice actor for Tetsuo (whom K9999 was an homage to) also played the voice to K9999 (which is pronounced K-4-9, in case you didn't know) I've always known he was a tribute to Akira. Christ even Garaa from Naruto is a tribute to him(Manga/show - CLEARLY SHOWS IT!). It seems Akira influenced alot of animatiors :/ And (NOT Kyo, the one with the leet biker jacket) Kusanagi(mirror clone guy dude)'s voice is the same person that does Kaneda's (notice their intro in 2k2. For the cube, all you need is a loader disc (for all region). But you can "create" your own modchip, all you need to is add a few wires in and if you want, a switch to swtich it between NTSC to JAP (PAL isn't supported unless you get an actual mod chip or the loader disc)

Wonder why it turns you off. The game has more added realism and they rebuilt the engine again, which looks slick, and GT3 wasn't perfect either. Compared to most other racing games, GT is the best out of all with that few successors. If you can find another game with that much realism and great graphics for the PS2(mind you, pushing the graphical limits of the PS2 and keeping it at 60FPS most of the time) at the same time, go ahead. Most of the car specs were wrong. GGXX could be the worst 2D fighting game ever now. I've started hating it since I went into spectucal detail about Sammy/Arc Systems once. I am never doing that again.

I hate trillian with such a passion. I'll wait till its not buggy as fsck anymore to get it. I use seperate programs, ol skool.
