  1. Unless you use Linux, Windows XP 64bit or Vista, 8GB is nothing but a waste of money.
  2. It's because theres crappy upscalers. While it does help that a TV does that, it isn't as one sided as that. The newer gen Sony Bravias do it very well, that's because the BDP-S300 is also a decent upscaler. Both are Sony products lol! But it gets the job done.
  3. It costs more for HD type crap. It's not saving time NOR money. If they wanted to save money, they wouldn't go that crazy.
  4. Fun Fact, the arcade version of VF5 doesn't even run at HD, it runs at 16:9 480p.
  5. Stay up 3 days straight at a LAN then proceeding to sleep for 20 hours.
  6. What kind of crap-tacular response is that? Shiba just poured his heart out for his feeling with this game. The least you can do is enlighten us with your reasons for such a brief response. Mass Effect is the game Jade Empire should of been.
  7. Both. Shadowrun on SNES is too good. Jake Armitage FTW.
  8. Why do you post things to me when I'm asleep?
  9. We have no clue. It's Leo all over again, except some say "Yo, sport bra" while others are like "What sport bra???"
  10. Notice, I didn't say "better" or "exactly" when I said that it was easier to port over. Both systems can output the same visuals, as shown by Call of Duty 4, but both handle graphical rendering VERY differently. As BK said, the 360 version has also been in development longer then the PS3 version as well. Summer `08 = July. No memo? Taito Type X supports the R520 range of ATiGPU, which is the range the Xbox 360 runs at. PS3 runs on NV47 series GPU and Sega runs on the generation before it. Hence = EASE! Anyways, theres a beta test this week for SF4.
  11. We need to go back to using Gold, Silver and Copper. That'd be mad.
  12. While Blu-Ray won the battle, they haven't won the war. The war with DVD Media. Still strong and until HDTV becomes a the standard, they got to fight another battle. I'll give one thing though, HD-DVD Players are great upscales compared to all the Blu-Ray players. Nearly all the Blu-Ray Players upscale sucks royally and from what I'm told by the hardcore, HD-DVD players do a way better job at upscaling DVDs.
  13. Response: The engine looks scalable, since the Wii is just above Xbox (not 360), given proper time, it can be released on Wii, since Taito Type X isn't really a heavy duty graphics processing machine like Sega's Linburgh. And as a nod to that, Type X runs on a ATi Radeon 9200+, and from guessing, since kit is confirmed to be $2000 USD (Game+Marquee+System), it's most likely being ran on at least a 9600-9800 type video card with maybe 256 to 512 MB of ram. Given that the Wii also runs on ATi type graphics chip, it would be easily portable, with just about the same amount or just as good graphic quality at 480p. Since Taito Type X is 720p natively. 360 would have an easier time porting because both use ATi type GPUs. Which greatly reduces the time of changing or removing the way the graphics work from one thing to another. Sega mentioned it was easier porting VF5 to PS3 because both use the same family of GPU.
  14. Nope, all that Ono said is he would like to see it on all possible systems. PS3 is selling, it'll come to that, 360s are selling, it'll come to that, Wiis are selling, it'll come to that, DS`s are selling, it'll come to that, get the picture? Ultimately, it's Capcom's choice. His other mentality is Arcade first, consoles second. He wants to get it right the first time, so maybe a 8-12 months before we see it on a console, so they can possibly release revisions/patches for the arcade version.
  15. http://japan.gamespot.com/arcade/videos/st...20367440,00.htm Gameplay stuff. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/177652.html Ryu vs Ken with Ultra.
  16. Gigantour 2005: Megadeth, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Nevermore Warped Tour 2003 Dream Theater - Both shows, cheap as hell, Celebrating 20 Years of Dream Theater Radiohead Arcade Fire (!!!) The Black Keys Boxcarracer bunch of bands, whose names I don't know becuase they played at a local talent show festival type thing.
  17. Fact: Even though SStenka had both an Original (Arcade) and Arranged (Rebalanced) modes, the game still had several bugs, some of which were game stopping. Which drew the irk of many fans. Fact: When KOFXI was released on consoles, it also had both an Original and Arranged mode, but once again, suffered from bugs. While it had less bugs in the Japanese version, the Euro and American version suffer from bad, bad slow downs.
  18. Watch those bastards screw him. Fine print is always a good read with someone (who is not of legal council) to read it carefully. Trust me, free shiet is tempting.
  19. You know what's also funny, the only reason KOF12 is being made is because they actually made money off the sloppy 3D games they made. And who says KOF doesn't have repetitve, patterned gameplay. You play for fun but when the pros (a.k.a. the chinese) play it's a completely different game. And yes, the game also has tiers. 98 had Kyo, Goro, Chizuru, Iori as top AND on top of that, everyone plays Advance mode. 2k2 had Choi, Athena and Billy as SS tier. With first or second slot with a character who can do well without using any sort or building meter. Then you have 2k3, which had Duo-Lon as god tier with his infinity, K`, Daimon and surprisingly Ash. Oh oh, and then came KOF11! Gato, Oswald, Kula, with anyone of them as Leader, happens to be the best team in the game. Also, SNK hasn't taken the time until KOF98UM to fully test a game. How many bugs were there in 97, 98, 99, 2k, 2k1, 2k2, 2k3 and 11? Tons, with 99, 2k, 2k1, 2k3 and 11 fixing them for their console ports. Which I might add, wasn't well recieved by the hardcore KOF community. Anyone could tell you SF4 is trying to be an SF2 just by looking at it, but until you take some time to notice all the changes they made from watching the vids, it's not. I wrote it off until I saw vids, while I still hold my cautious mind with it. Gameplay looks solid for something thats about 50-60% done. And how would you play SFIISTHDRemix? It's going to be the same game as Super Turbo but with more balance changes. Same game, different numerical values. The last I heard was, while it is high res, it isn't HD. It's in 16:9 and I'm assuming it's in 720p because of the arcade hardware it runs on.
  20. Just get something that'll be garunteed to last, like an 8600 or an 8800.
  21. 26 Million for a medicore game that ends up being released on both consoles ends up selling 4x that. That's casual gaming for you.
  22. I'm only using it as a compairson to justify some of everyone's complaints between weather it should be a xpac or just little bitty tweaks.
