  1. It does show the monster's origin (or as close to). According to the production notes (which is simply google-able, which is the thingy sent out to those scoopers and stuff) is that the monster has been on earth for centuries and that a satellite owned by Shulosh's (or whatever teh drink is called) parent company crashed to earth and woke it up. But it still doesn't show Clovie's true origin (what's it doing here/wtf are those spider things). Also the after credits, "It's still alive." Yeah, sequel coming alright.
  2. so in terms of power under the hood what are we saying not much difference or what? To the core, their both basically the same type of chip, a PowerPC IBM chip. Both are set use a different set of instructions to accomplish what needs to be done, both aren't as close to a normal PC processor (unless it's an Apple, to which a 360 would be as close too it's G4 I believe (not sure on it, could be Pre-Intel G5s)). The 360's processor simply just allows the processing of it's instructions to be straight forward and messy (not in the bad way of being just bad coding, but rather, it can be all over the place and still be read by it's 3 cores) compared to Cell (to which it has separate instructions per core for different things, which most developers don't like. One core for sound, the other for handling AI instructions, another for paths etc etc). It is said that it's more difficult to develop for the PS3 because of the way Cell architecture (each core serving a different purpose). In theory, if one would take the full poweress of Cell, it would be a hell of a processor. Not supercomputer level, but pretty damn decent. Remember the PS3 only has a selection of cores available while 3 are locked.
  3. That was the whole point of the movie dude. It's america's monster. Not some import.
  4. It's pretty simple. They both do graphical rendering differently. That's pretty much it.
  5. I just unscrewed myself. They said since it's CoD, i still have to pay for the phones (Which will later be refunded to me) and then I'd have to contact Fido as soon as possible to cancel my crap. The lady sounded hot, and extremely asian.
  6. Yeah main complaint frmo all my friends has been the camera. Pretty darn good I'd say as it captures the perfect essence of an on the fly documentary.
  7. Don't drink the water There's blood in the water Don't drink the water
  8. Any Pro or Arcade that has a HDMI port. It will say so on the box. If I recall, all 360s after a certain date started sporting the HDMI port, it's all a matter of looking at the box. Seriously, look at the box.
  9. No, people have known what causes the RRoD for quite some time. Heat. which causes the MoBo to sag, which causes solders to fail. thats why x-clamp and penny mods fix RRoD. they support the MoBo and don't allow it to flex/sag. the towel trick works by overheating the box causing the solders to partially "resolder" themselves. all that is needed by MS to fix the RRoD is MoBo posts in the center area of the box. but noooo they go with new chips and heatsinks ignoring the same problem over and over again. They were fixed with the more recent 360s though. I never had a RRoD problem because of the condition I keep my 360 in (my room is cold cold cold!). This artical has pretty much do nothing overall, because alot of people found out about what causes the RRoDs. And inksauce tells it. It's practically a fatal unintentional design flaw that this happens. The towel trick makes the 360 hotter and doesn't "resolder" per-se, but rather makes the conducters expand enough for contact, I wouldn't recommend the towel trick as it can seriously end up overheating your whole box. Fun fact, in all parts of the video game industry, Q&A testing is last step and is usually sped through to release items on time. More companies should invest their time in Q&A testing. Maybe they could of caught this flaw, but they aren't the ones gaming for 10-12 hours at a time without breaks.
  10. I've been driving, a mid sized car, I never hurt anyone Is that a fact? The price of gas keeps on rising Nothing comes for free Make like a stone, make like a plant I can tell you, how this ends We're going to win this With spades and truncheons, guns and trowels That is how the war will be won Just swat the fly Taking care of cars and bodies Nothing ever comes for me The ghosts are here, red white and blue I can tell you how this ends We're going to win this
  11. January 18, 2008 - Get the travel agent on the line, kids. Have your Lonely Planet Japan guide ready. Start eating sushi daily to get yourself into the proper culinary mode. All this for the playable debut of Street Fighter IV. In an update at the game's official Japanese blog, project manager Natsuki Shiozawa revealed that the game will be available for play at the AOU 2008 Amusement Expo, an arcade show that opens its doors to industry members on February 15th and regular folks the day after at the Makuhari Messe just outside Tokyo. Further details will be revealed on the blog in future updates, Shiozawa added, although we've already heard enough. We expect to see all the real Street Fighter fans in Japan next month! http://games.ign.com/articles/846/846408p1.html
  12. As I said previously, the game is very much interesting to play 1v1 with rules (No Items, 5-7 lives). I used to think like you guys, and changed when I played it with someone who was good and managed to pull some crazy crap on me, like bombing himself back up to the platform with samus when i knocked him off.
  13. I know of a few folks who did encode their characters differently so they wouldn't be usuable on vanilla mugen.
  14. I have a new found respect for Jenna Haze and Ashlynn Brook. They are no longer simply just fap material, their fap material with good taste.
  15. I did something stupid and signed up for 3 year plan for Fido just to get the phones. 55 monthly charge, plus 6 dollars in service access, 100 Dollars deposit on 2 phones (that will be returned should I cancel before the term ends). Looking at it now, I realized I don't have enough money to cover it. Even with my sisters and myself splitting the bill (we are all poor). So once I recieve it, I'm going to cancel the plan and return the phones (if possible, because I don't want to appear as some cheap bastard who did it for free stuff). Unless I can say to the UPS guy (since it's COD) to return the product and cancle it (Which I highly doubt). And I'm still applicable for the 15 Days Garuntee provided I don't activate the phones. IT COMES IN 3 TO 8 BUSINESS DAYS. I NEED ADVICE QUICK. NO "YOU SHOULDN'T OF SIGNED UP FOR IT IN THE FIRST PLACE" CRAP. I ALREADY KNOW THAT PART >_<
  16. Only around 7 video games have ever received a perfect score from famitsu. Here's a translation from what they had to say. Nintendo January 24, 2008 Sale Date / 6,800 (sales tax inc.) Variety Fighter/ Action You can control tons of characters like Mario and Snake. Up to four players can battle at once. Cooperative mode is added in. Online battles are also possible. Target Players: Anyone can enjoy this one Average Play time: That depends on how you play this game This time single player has tons of content. The adventure mode is quite long and fun. And the story presentation is amazing. As for the fights, with the strong unpredictable factor that comes with final smashes, more than ever we can be excited about matches not being related to skill. The controls and sound are also satisfying. Hats off to Nintendo. Score: 10 The new unpredictable factor that is the final smash allows us to enjoy an amazing effect and refreshing feel from any character. The fights are even more intense. The single player modes are abundant and a plus. The Subspace Emissary Adventure mode movie and action tempo are good and you just forget time while playing. Im highly satisfied with the game. Score: 10 The powerhouse cast and gimmicks! The dynamic and subtle character moves! The must see final smashes! There are tons of battle stages. The single player mode is also extremely satisfying. There is a stage edit, and you can browse through the detailed information in the game. Score 10 The moves of the the all star roster of characters have been polished, and the addicting one player mode has been perfected. With its outstanding graphics and wonderful ambience, Brawl is an epic game in which you can feel the efforts that went into it. Every time you play it, you'll discover something new, and you'll savor both sweet joy and bitter loss when you battle. Score: 10
  17. Only when the firefights got too hard, but for the most part, I ran through the game running at a soild 30FPS all the way.
  18. No, the PS3 isn't the sole reason why Blu-Ray is winning. It's players' prices are dropping like flies and more studios are picking it up. That's why it's winning. Small compairison, Sony's PS3 (40GB) still retails at $399.99 USD MSRP while Sony's BDP-S300 has dropped to as low as $299 USD MSRP. Blu-Ray is still a little more expensive to make over it's HD-DVD competitor, but studio adoption is why it's winning. There are also some studios that adoped BOTH formats and Warner Bros. is working on a unifed dual HD-DVD-Blu-Ray Disc, which IMO all companies should adopt.
  19. Well I forgot to mention. The quality I used for the screen shots was on High and Very High (XP Hack). I don't have any shots when I played on meidum.
