  1. Well for directors, I would say Joss Whedon, that guy is still with Pop culture references in all his works. As for writers however is a different story. A majority of the writers from Gilmore Girls are actually former writers under Joss Whedon and thus produce alot of pop culture references when the show aired. The producers of The O.C. and Chuck also come to mind also. They reference music, old school japanese animation and comics all the time.
  2. 17th for me. 24th and 31st I'm busy getting drunk with family for Chrismaquanzanika and New Years repsectively.
  3. Oh, my god, you're right! We're not limited to sitting on our asses and bitching. We can get up, go stand out in the cold, and biatch as a group! Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?! Because America doesn't have the draft anymore so no one can biatch about all the other things anymore. Unless it's a WTO rally.

  5. EX moves? you mean as in SF3 or the EX series moves? EX moves as in SFIII. Like Vampires' ES moves. Like I'd mean the EX series
  6. 3D graphics, 2d gameplay, EX and vism gameplay mechanics. In theory it's a recipe for a disaster (Meaning EX moves and V-Ism, TOGETHER, HOLY JESUS).
  7. Well Activision is also a publisher of games. Gotta remember that. Blizzard just makes decent games and self publishes their titles. So put two and two together and we get Blizzactivisionard.
  8. Yeah tell me about it. I guess now we can expect subtle Marvel references in WoW now.
  9. The companies behind Call of Duty and World of Warcraft are merging in a deal which could shake up the global video games industry. Activision and Blizzard have said they will form "the world's most profitable games business" in a deal worth $18.8bn (£9.15bn). US-based Activision also makes hit console games such as the Tony Hawk series and Guitar Hero. Nine million people pay a monthly subscription to play World of Warcraft. 'High-growth industry' Blizzard is the biggest player in online gaming and Warcraft is the global market leader of what are known as massively multi-player online role-playing games, or MMORPGs. It is currently owned by the French media group Vivendi. As part of the merger plan, Blizzard will invest $2bn in the new company, while Activision is putting up $1bn. The merged business will be called Activision Blizzard and its chief executive will be Activision's current CEO Bobby Kotick. Vivendi will be the biggest shareholder in the group. Jean-Bernard Levy, Vivendi chief executive, said: "This alliance is a major strategic step for Vivendi and is another illustration of our drive to extend our presence in the entertainment sector. "By combining Vivendi's games business with Activision, we are creating a worldwide leader in a high-growth industry." ... BBC News Edit: To Emulamers, thanks for supporting me in this moment of awesomeness. Love you guys!
  10. What the hell did you just type? But what I can say is, just because everyone's getting a hang of programming it doesn't mean it's still expensive to develop for (how much is Final Fantasy 13 running on right now? Wasn't it 26 million USD last time I checked?). If anything, if publishers want to turn a profit they either do 1) Multiconsole 2) Make it a Wii project 3) Just do a 360 version. The war ain't over yet. Remember when everyone had Sony up their asses? Yeah good times.
  11. I believe the Dreamcast version WAS Upper sans the name if I recall. Being also released on Naomi and all.

  13. Major irony there. They can suck it for all I care at this point.
  14. Bingo, VF5's is a joke compared to those. But onward; espeicially with Gryph's mention. Alot of reports are stemming from that source. Also alot of writers a GS are basically up in arms about the whole thing and are on some sort of quiet strike.
  15. Not being paid to think, there for why thing of ideas that will come to pass and I will not get proper credit to it!
  16. It feels weird to me, which is why I wanted to replace it, but replacing parts on the Hori DOA4/VF5/Fighting stick requires some cutting of the board if you want to replace the parts with better parts. While good on it's own, it feels different when compared to a HRAP. edit: Errm I re-read what you said. Feels good, but like I said the parts require a change if you want to keep it to an arcade standard then just an arcade-like standard.
  17. Your warrenty is already voided, so just open it and check it anyways.
  18. Safest bet is too buy the games you want to play online and warez everything else :3!
  19. Incidentally, DS is still #1 in the land of the rising sun.
  20. Agreeing. First one is definately one of the best FPS experiences ever. Built on the old UT99 engine to boot, release in 2001 I believe. Also about this, it was reported a while back on MusiquePlus here in Montreal that Edios Montreal would be doing it as soon as they moved in, and this was back in August.
  21. COD4's single player is pretty good, lasts 5-6 hours though (beat it on Hardened btw). But it's main draw isn't it's SP campaign (even though it's good and all), it's the MP mode. COD has lived on mostly for the multiplayer
  22. It's simple really. It's moving clock-wise. If you look carefully before the animation resets by watching a specific body part such as the legs or foot.
  23. Similar, but not exactly what I "felt." Felt like some female laid down beside me for the most part. @`lasar: Yeah FM1st on DS is sweet. It has all the bonus crap from the PS1 version (FM 1st) plus more stuff to make it fit into the canon of the series AND more units & weapons to also make it up to date with the series. Here's to hoping 5 comes out in the U.S.!
  24. Best bet is to grab the TMPEG Enc. encode it too MPG1 then edit it in your prefered program. Simple file splitting can be done with Windows Movie Maker. And I recommend it since nothing from Adobe and quiet possibly Sony Vegas, which supports .mp4 I believe. I don't have *my* computer to check and running on a whim for that.
