So how is Resident Evil 5 compared to Resident Evil 4? If it's as good as Resident Evil 4 or better I might consider buying it when I get the money..
-
I just uploaded revision 2740, you may download it from here as usual. I've compiled and uploaded the x86, x64, and x86 JITIL builds, there may be another build compiled and uploaded by the end of the day depending on how I feel or what free time I have. One of these day I plan on pursuing C++ coding as well as emulation documentation, sitting down for a while and studying the source code of Dolphin to see what tidbits I can possibly fix if anything.

Macy's rickrolled the whole damn country at once.
Xtreme2damax replied to Inky's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I didn't really watch the Macy's Parade, so I missed this great feat, but it's funny nevertheless. -
Mine is still Ngemu/Emuforums, even since my last post in this thread. If I could choose multiple home pages Emutalk and 1emu would be on the list.

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Super Heroes
Xtreme2damax replied to BlackKnight's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Does it still maintain the same fighting style as former Mk games and does it still have gruesome fatalities? If so, it is win in my book. -
I still say no one makes a better James Bond than Pierce Brosnan.

If you were referring to me, then no. All I do is compile/mirror and host the builds. The Dolphin team including ector gave permission to do this as he posted it in a thread at Ngemu. Yes, we made sure we had permission before distrubuting builds. However to name a couple people contributing to coding for Dolphin and have joined in after the project went open source, Omegadox and Daco are the go to people. Anyways I just continually provide updated builds, so that way if no one else has the latest build and they don't feel like messing with VS2008 to compile it themselves, the can just download a pre-compiled build. I'm just there in case others get tired of providing updated builds or can't for some reason. Unfortunately as much as I'd like to contribute to Dolphin, it's difficult for me to as I am not too knowledgeable in coding let alone emulation... However I am trying to learn coding and reading some emulation documentations such as YAGD so I can better understand and hopefully contribute to the project. I've also tried tinkering around with the Dolphin source, however none of the builds I provided contained the modified code as it was essentially non-working. I opened this thread for purely informational purposes and for discussions pertaining to the SVN builds of Dolphin as many of the other websites have an SVN Discussion thread and I saw this forum lacked one.

As you know with Dolphin going open source there are now several new people jumping aboard and contributing to the development of this emulator. Besides new members of the development team contributing fixes and addition of new features, there are those who graciously provide pre-compiled builds for those who don't have access to Visual Studio or just want the latest revision without the hassle of compiling. I have listed some users providing builds below including myself, posted general information and links to obtain the latest DirectX redistributable/runtimes. Daco: http://www.nyleveia.com/daco/ Xtreme2damax: http://www.xtemu.com/forum/index.php?autom...t&cat_id=20 Xtreme2damax's Skydrive Mirror: http://cid-b8ece3275d590dda.skydrive.live.....Public/Dolphin I'll be adding a link in my signature where these builds I compile can be downloaded from. If you find one mirror/site is outdated, there is a good chance another mirror/site will have an up to date revision. As for the Linux builds, I'd advise not to download pre-compiled and compile them yourself. Due to the nature of Linux and the array of different distros, configurations kernal versions, it is likely pre-compiled builds may not work on some or most Linux boxes. Also you may need to update your DirectX if you are having problems or receiving errors loading the DirectX video plugin and the PadSimple plugin. You can find the latest DirectX redistributable at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en Some games require OptimizeQuantizers to be set to False or else graphical/geometry issues occur. Three of the known games that Require OptimizeQuantizers to be set to False are Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil 4, and Starfox Assault. At the moment of this post, I have uploaded revision 1210. I include a Readme and FAQ typed out by me with all of my builds on common problems and solutions with Dolphin and important links. If anyone wants me to make them a cheat file/ini for a game they wish to cheat in, I would be glad to do so. If you wish me to create one for you, you can contact me via a private message. edit by Robert: fixed Omegadox link

I don't really care anyways, Lindsey isn't as good looking as she was a while ago, of course she was never really good looking to begin with anyway. I just ignore anything related to celebrities now, I like their movies and shows they star in, what I don't like is the constant publicity and god like status everyone, including the media attributes to them. I just absolutely hate trying to watch the news for important events or articles/pieces and there is always something lame about a celebrity that is always said as one of the pieces.

We have just made the conversion from Mybb 1.4.x to IPB 2.3.6. I am working on getting the settings restored and proper permissions set. All users who are registered have been sent an email informing them they'll have to reset their password in order to be able to successfully login. Also during the conversion I wasn't able to keep avatar uploads in tact nor poll votes. If anyone is registered there, you'll need to re-upload your avatar.

Enabling my PSP for homebrew
Xtreme2damax replied to Xtreme2damax's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
Doesn't already needing a homebrew enabled PSP kind of defeat the purpose though? There should be an alternative utility for PC that allows you to create the magic memory stick if you don't have access to a homebrew enabled PSP or know anyone with one. What is involved with the creation of the magic memory stick that needs a homebrew enabled PSP anyways? If I understand you only need a homebrew capable PSP to create the magic memory stick, so why not create a PC utility that does this same thing since you can plug the PSP memory stick into a PC using an adapter or access it via your PC/PSP using a cable? So all you would need is a modified battery/Datel tool battery and you're memory stick. Creating an application for the PC that creates the magic memory stick would be much simpler than actually needing a homebrew enabled PSP to do this. People with homebrew enabled PSP's is not very common where I live and most PSP owners have no idea what homebrew or anything is beyond the official games or licensed applications. I don't know anyone with a homebrew capable PSP or know anyone who knows anyone with a homebrew capable PSP. My PSP has the TA-088v2 motherboard which is hackable. -
I want to enable the new PSP I bought for homebrew. From what I understand I can use the Pandora method only if my PSP doesn't have the TA-whatever motherboard. Is there a way to check if I am able to even enable my PSP for homebrew or if it does or doesn't contain that TA-xxxxx motherboard? Does my PSP have to already be homebrew capable in order to use Pandora or is that what the Pandora kit is for to begin with? Some said at Ngemu to check my date code under my battery to see if it is a model currently capable of homebrew. I am unsure of what this date code looks like or where it exactly is under the battery. The model is a PSP Slim 2001...

Comcast starts 250GB bandwidth caps on October 1
Xtreme2damax replied to Gryph's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Have you checked the ISP I have to use in my last post, much worse than DSL or Cable not to mention you are throttled between 4PM - 12PM EST at a whopping 100 kb/s and on average between those time you get to download files or browse web pages at a whole 15 - 30Kb/s, speed depends on how congested the network is and may vary. -

Xtreme2damax replied to Gryph's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You shouldn't really complain, it could be a lot worse such as the ISP I have to use being in the boonies and all. Try these caps on for size and woah, look at the prices too: http://go.gethughesnet.com/plans.cfm http://go.gethughesnet.com/fapolicy.cfm?hf=0 Take note of the daily threshold or else a Fair Access Policy goes into effect. Once they throttle you it lasts for 24 hours, Once you Fap you are stuck with sub dial up speeds for 24 hours, and don't expect to load any web pages, do any downloads or uploads, FTP doesn't work at all in Fap. Also their customer support is nearly non-existent and quite crappy, run by a bunch of untrained Indian jockies who will make you swear a bunch of Chimpanzees could do a better job. They also alter your contract later on and lower your limits even more. They have royally screwed customers in tech visit fees when something goes wrong with the system. Also the cancellation fee if you cancel before your contract is up is quite hefty at $300 - $400. Oh you don't get a static ip by default (Additional $10/mo) and are permanently firewalled so no torrents or P2P unless you want to deal with painstakingly slow downloads, although Frostwire works quite well. Double billing among a ton of other problems are to be had with this company/isp. However it is better than dial-up even if slightly and allows me to download files faster than dial-up and load web pages faster despite the ridiculously low limits. There's not much choice in the boonies/country, it's either that or dial-up. -
Not to mention the whole site looks like it's been inactive for over a month, the forum area has been spammed by numerous porn bots among other bots.

7/10 for gameplay?!? While it is fun during Nero's run, but when you need to go through the boss fights multiple times and running through the same level, the boredom can really get on you. I tried playing a 2nd run, but i give up halfway due to sheer boredom. Good for one run only Well gameplay wasn't all that bad to warrant anything lower, except those minor/moderate issues thus is why I only subtracted three points. It is quite fun except they should of used different bosses. The PC port is amazing considering how optimized it is, you should try the other modes/levels such as LDN, Bloody Palace, DMD..... I don't mind playing this again and again even though boss fights are repetitive. I'm guessing the reason the levels are so linear/small is for optimization, I'm guessing since this title was originally developed with a PC engine they wanted it as optimized for older hardware as much as possible.
