  1. You'd better be careful - 1emu'll pretend that it doesn't mind that you missed your aniversary, but in reality the fact will eat it up inside until you guys get in a huge fight over seemingly nothing! ()
  2. Come off it anti, you know it's going to suck. And it's blasphemy to think of live-actioning akira. Mainly because, what the hell is the point of taking one of the movies credited with bringing Anime to the world, and then take away the thing that made it so popular to the world (the whole animation part). Call me a fan-boy as much as you want, but there has never been a live-action movie based on anime that was good, as far as I know, and there most probably never will be.
  3. Guys, shouldn't we be more concerned about our suicidal friend than about ancient, no-longer-applicable Japanese customs? Axl, I understand that you don't want to talk about what's bothering you on a public message board. Instead, find a friend, or (if you'd prefer it to be a stranger) a therapist, or even a priest (any priest worth his salt would help a suicidal person regardless of their religion), and talk it out with them. You'll find that the problem seems alot smaller once you've told someone about it.
  4. Mel Brooks is a living legend. He's the one who said, "some people accuse me of being too vulgar. To them I say that's bullshit.
  5. Dude, don't commit suicide, that's not cool. And it's definitely not something i'm voting on in a poll. If something's bothering you the best thing to do is talk about it, if not here then with somebody you know irl.
  6. Yeah I've used it (the original anyway) and I don't like it.
  7. what I did was run vconv on them then rename them to what they used to be called. It worked fine for me.
  8. We have too many forums already, and RPG maker sucks. I'd vote no.
  9. The ships would need oxygen and climate-control so the passengers don't have to wear space-suits (for maximum comfort) and I don't think the technology is quite there yet.
  10. according to tv tome: http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowM...t/showid-17504/
  11. neither do I, but even I know there's a big difference between rap and NELLY!

  13. well, it works for me but the crcs of some of my bins (or roms or whatever) are different than it expects so the gfx come up all scrambled. But it does work (also the version I have works in Kawaks just fine).
  14. speaking of the sci-fi channel and animated-type programs, has a new series of "tripping the rift" been made yet?
  15. Just get it for the PSTwo... you know you want it... Anon. It'll probably end up being better for PC though, like the previous 2 titles.
  16. Yeah, I was gonna mention that. Wasn't it great? The ability to be serial killer and get pregnant is (for me at least) a welcome addition to the sims 2.
  17. I guess he was on the hold for a long time. Classic. By the way the title's called "costumer service" - he he, I can just imagine this guy working in a costume shop bitching at all his customers.
  18. For some reason I don't like considering him a ninja. Same for Andy Bogard. To me, Andy is more like a karate guru like Ryu than anything close to a ninja. I personally wouldn't count anyone not wearing a ninja suit as a ninja, but that's just me. For that reason, vega wouldn't be in my poll (had I made one that is) either.
  19. How does it suck? Last I heard the game had excellent gameplay. It depends on what you're looking for in a racer. If you're looking for an arcade racer, the GT series is definately not for you. I'm not going to say it's "realistic" (although it probably is, relatively speaking), but I liked it because it added a level of depth to racing that most other games didn't give me. Before GT3, I'd never played a racer that made me think about the effects of engine placement, or taking turns from the outside-in, or how I wanted to tweak my camber for that extra help on a certain track. But things like that made GT3 a deeper challenge for me than any other racer I'd played, and kept my interest far longer than any of the "go fast, then powerslide, then boost when you have it" racers I was used to. It made me learn "the line," and how that line changes for differently tuned cars, a LOT more than any other racer. And that's not going to be everybody's cup of tea. Well, I like realistic racing but the gameplay is boring if you keep on racing on a fix track. That's why I like the Shutoku Battle Series by Genki. It has 3 cities (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka) as the race track. The concept is original (SP battle meter, 2 vs 1, endurance etc etc) It is street racing with racing groups for you to beat! It has bosses to beat!! (Very dramatic when the bosses comes ) Heh, I really love the series. I never miss one (except for the PS port) Do you mean "tokyo street race" or whatever it was called?
  20. Yeah, but that's against the principle (if not the practice) of communism.
  21. Can't you get them working (at least in console mode) using the universe bias?
  22. true. But surely games like gta, and doom III etc... would get ported to Japan
  23. I dunno, but I don't even like having my ps2 (original one that is) on its side. It just seems unnatural to me.
