Ditto. I'm not that much of a jackass to actually steal or beat someone up... Count me in there too. Bunch of squares. Me and my friends still haven't outgrown the stealing thing. We don't steal merchendise but we take stuff like signs, things from restaurants, door knobs...etc. I've had a sign up in my room for years that says, "Construction site strictly no admittance" I've had it for years, after carrying it home for an hour while walking home drunk after a night on the town.

That's true, they're just like the nazis in that most of them blindly follow gruesome instructions just because an alpha-male is saying so, and so they can feel a part of a group. They suffer from "pack mentality" - their actions scream out of a group of people desperate to avoid thinking about anything.

I think you're thinking a bit paranoid now. Oh, sure, everything you said happens happens, but I don't think it happens WHY you think it happens. The only reason it is happening is for money; the "media" you speak of doesn't want to trap the whole country into poverty, that is just a byproduct of the consumeristic lifestyle. Think about it - if they turned all the consumers poor, there'd be no-one to buy their crap, would they? Oh by the way, this is just a friendly suggestion that maybe you should add some paragraph spacings into your longer posts. It's just that a block of text of that size is rather hard to read!

Emo's got nothing to do with gangsta rap - at least not in Australia. Over here emo is like a toned-down version of goths. And yes, I agree, it's the scourge of television...at first tv and markerters tried to find out what was cool and make shows/ads /products about it. But that wasn't getting them enough money so they had to start TELLING people what was cool. But that wasn't enough either, so they had to invent a counter-culture and make THOSE people think that they're the cool ones, not the mainstream people. But don't worry...this can't continue forever- pretty soon nobody will know what's cool anymore so maybe, just maybe, the "masses" might actually start developing some character of their own!
