  1. You have to watch the dance and notice the EXACT SPACE the guy points at, and then click there yourself after the cutscene is over.
  2. Okay, just because of that I added 2 more completely different promos on to that site as well! See if you like either of them better edit: you might have to wait a few minutes for my page to refresh and the songs to be added though
  3. Okay, done. Now all the vocals are in there. ...and its been reuploaded to that site as well. edit: still didnt have it exactly right...but now it is, and re-reuploaded!
  4. This is something I just cooked up in about 10 minutes. It's pretty crappy at the moment but this is just to show you guys the way I think it should sound (very roughly). I'll probably play around with it more later. Note you must click on the link and then choose to download or stream it.: http://www.audiostreet.net/artists/005/031...w_quality_.html
  5. I could make some music for it in fruity loops. I don't have a mic though so someone else would have to say the "welcome to" part. edit: whether I do it or not, it should start with the sound of an old-time radio searching through the dials.
  6. (Waking up from a major operation) "Congratulations, son, the operation was a complete sucess. Oh dear, where'd my wristwatch go?" - the surgeon (Going clubbing with a group of chem-head mates) - "Oh no, you didn't take the GREEN pill, did you?' OR - this one really happened to me - on the first day of a psychology "major" (which over here means only taking one class per semester, rather than doing the whole unit) the lecturer said, "...And some of you may be taking psychology as a major to complement some completely unrelated degree. In that case (a sarcastic sneer and a laugh) good luck!" (not that I've ever had much trouble with my psych units; I can't say that quote didn't freak me out though).
  7. The PSOne nearly sold as many units as the xbox in japan that week.
  8. Are you sure? I could only find the regular samsho5 on filemirrors
  9. I thought the defaut gun WAS the enforcer (pretty much anyway)? The only difference I can think of is it comes with a couple of crappy grenades.
  10. You have no idea how many people I've tried to relate this too who've looked at me like I was crazy. Finally someone else who remembers the Halo that never was! I can't even find those old vids anywhere, I wouldn't be entirely suprised if M$ had them "surpressed." What's more, all these XBox fans are wetting themselves over Halo 2, but all of the "exciting new features" they're advertising are shown off in those early, pre-xbox vids. Basically, M$ robbed PC gamers of what was to be an interesting new game and crapped out another mediocre FPS for console fans who weren't used to ignoring them on the shelves. And now for the On-Topic: Bias aside, my vote goes for UT2004. It has basically everything Halo has, but more of it. More weapons, maps, vehicles, etc. They tend to be a little more varied in their execution as well. It also has a lot of potential for variety with Mutators and user made mods (check out "Swarm," for example). Also, if you don't mind a historical setting and you haven't tried them yet, you might check out one of the games in the Battlefield series (1942 or Vietnam). The single player isn't so hot, but the multiplayer is excellent and it's a similar kind of FPS w/vehicles combat. Theres a video floating around called "The Evolution of Halo." Showing off what it looked like from Mac World 99 till E3 2001. Looks like you can get it here
  11. And about a million new users who "suddenly" and "unexplicably" disappear after finding the rom!
  12. I love ut2k4 - going back and playing quake 3 after playing that, I always try to double-jump and shootdodge! It seems to me that with these features AND vehicles, ut2k4 is a vast improvement over the original UT, but I never played ut2k3 (apart from once), so I don't know how much of an improvement ut2k4 is over ut2k3. Halo I find kind of fun, but frustrating and too hard. I realise I have the PC version so I'm perhaps not getting the ideal halo experience, but personally, I don't see what all the fuss over this game was about (ie all the hype). edit: It's interesting, but although unreal 1 and 2 looked funky, gameplay wise they didn't really grip me beyond a week. They've also have mixed reviews and mixed reactions with gamers. But the unreal tournament games have ALWAYS been fun, and fast-paced, and the weapons were better. I don't know what my point was, but yeah!. Conversely, the best thing to come out of 'halo' is "Red vs Blue"! () Edit2: If you end up getting ut2k4 and are on broadband, make sure you download the "community bonus pack" at http://www.planetunreal.com/cbp/. It's 400 megs of new levels, skins and mutators! And they were all designed by fans. Normally fanmade maps are endlessly crappier than the stock maps, but these maps look AWESOME - in fact most of them are on par with, if not better, than the levels that came with the game!
  13. Don't you just hate that? It's just like people who talk all through a movie in a cinema!
  14. Ooh I'll sign up to your experiments/abominations-in-the-face-of-god! For sure!
  15. I'm on the computer pretty much all the time - except for sleep- and class- time anyway.
  16. I think inverting the mouse is stupid, and only works if you are flying a plane (due to the way the rudder would work). I've had two different people explain to me that "it's like simulating the way your neck moves", but if I want to aim upwards, I want to move my mouse upwards! I can't play with invert mouse, not at all.
  17. Hey, that's all good. As long as you keep the same avatar, I won't get too confused
  18. me neither. And the sticky threads are usually the important ones, and it means they don't get lost amongst the sea of voices.
