No, but talking about how the world is full of sh!t, terrorist kill people etc. etc. gets tiresome after a while....even more so if politics is involved. Well some of us like to talk about such things and there is nothing you can do about it. My advice to those that don't like these threads: when you see a topic started by random guy that sounds remotely politcal or about the real world, no need to visit it. You got it BUB! Sounds good. Stay the flock out of my threads unless you have anything constructive to add And seriously, some of you guys are the most apolitical fellows I've ever met - how can you be an adult of or nearing voting age in this day and age WITHOUT being extremely pissed off about the current state of world diplomacy? Calling topics about politics 'spam' is just rediculous! No wonder so few Americans vote, if that's the attitude the majority of its citizens take! You have one chance every 3 years to make a difference, to TRULY have your say in the democratic process, you'd have to be INSANE not to take it! Vote, you fools, vote! Unless you want a moron like Bush in charge again! ...And why was the Paul Johnson thread closed? Posting pictures about it is in bad taste, I agree, but that was important news! There's a difference between censorship to keep things pg-13 and censorship of important news and events. And anyway, it seems like half the threads that poor Emsley makes get closed. He's admin too, why don't people respect his authorit-ah? True...but sometimes politics becomes so omniscient, that people choose to turn a blind eye to it. There is also the view that, whatever your beliefs are, your government, or world affairs, are so powerful, that there is nothing you can really do. It is funny, we are supposed to be a democracy, with each individual having a voice that should be heard and counted, but I don't feel that way anymore. I don't know if I have ever felt that way. I think an interest in political issues is healthy...but then again, I also think having an indifference to politics is not such a bad thing either. Because politics is everywhere these days, you can easily drown yourself in it. Perhaps this is pessimistic and cynical, but sometimes it may be better to avoid it, for your own sake. For your own sanity. In a way, I think cynicism about politics, and the leaders we elect, is sad. We chose them, they should reflect what we want. But of course, this never seems to happen. In another way, I think this cynicism is okay - it is showing our leaders that if they want to be re-elected, if they want our trust, they are going to have to work damn hard to achieve that. It is also telling them we do not accept everything they decide to do. And no, I'm not an anarchist. But their ideas are interesting to read. Ha ha, good point - one of the points I made in an essay about political communication is that a lot of theorists have studied the public's growing cynicism for politics and analysed various causes for that (the way stories are 'framed' in the media, for instance) but not once has a theorist stopped to think that maybe this growing cynicism is justified - and in fact a direct result of Governmental behaviour! An example of this is that when answering a question that will put the Government in good light, politicians will speak in 'soundbite' - that is, they'll speak in short, effective phrases; pretty much giving the media the perfect quotes for the 7pm news. However, when they're answering a question they don't want answered, or one that could potentially embarrass the Government, they will waffle on about bullshit for three hours until nobody remembers what the question was in the first place!!!! It seriously pisses me off. ...but another thing I should point out is although i am VERY cynical about politics, I still think it's very important to remain informed about what's happening on the political sphere. Not that it's likely to affect how I vote (damn two-party system!!!) but nevertheless, I think it's very important to know what's going on politically.

Except that we used to use a discman with a car kit - until we got the 'new' car, which had 6-channel stereo and a 12-disc changer. That's a bit of an improvement.

Not pulling out but passing "full sovereignty" to the interim Iraqi government. But the Coalition forces will stay to keep the peace for atleast another year and probably even longer. It'll be a catastrophe is the US pulls out. Maybe so, but that's not why they're staying - they're staying for the oil, they're staying so the US can set up 14 military bases in the area so the army has a foothold in the middle east...Bush and the US army couldn't give a flock about the Iraqi people - if they did why would they be torturing them?

This Is The Gay Master Look At His Butt!

I've been occasionally eyballing this Big Brother-like series where there's Eric Estrada, Ron Jeremy, Vanilla Ice and a few other "celebrities" living under the same roof. Oh yeah, the Surreal Life. I haven't seen an episode but I've heard about it. I wouldn't mind seeing 3 of the coolest people under the same roof. Vanilla Ice + Ron Jeremy + Erik Estrada = Odd fun Exactly. I hate Reality TV, but that show seems just....I don't know, appealing in and odd sort of way. Haha, I think I saw an episode of that... They had to go to a nudist colony, but none of them stripped... There were some hot babes there, too. Stupid censors... Actually, no, the fat pornographer stripped. Thank god for censors. No wait, god's an A-hole. I was gonna say....it's not like Ron Jeremy not to get naked! -
That was hilarious - don't blah to this blah to that (and if you blah too much you'll go blind )

Cominus has already answered that one, kanti - because it's more profitable to keep occupying Iraq.

He's admin too, why don't people respect his authorit-ah? well I will say this. I was riding with some of my familiy and my uncle was talking with a friend and it turns out that some of his friends at the armory just got orders to go to iraq and the only reason that my uncle didn't get orders was that he wasn't on duty. So anyways chances are that my uncle is going to go too and that he will be called to go in too but maybe later but he wants to go with his crew becuase he a "track mechanic"(guys that work on tanks and stuff) and you know how americans love to break down tank in iraq. So any ways my granda was like why? tell them to flock off that you dont want to go that you want to stay, and he's like no "I can't I have to go, it's nice when your country provides all these nice things for you and good money but when they need you it's not right to abandon them, and besides we need the war" and my grandma's like why and he says "money, the war makes the money circulate, soldiers need food, clothes, medical stuff and people need jobs so who's going to get that stuff for the soldiers?" yeah war maybe stupid but it's a natural part of life, I dont see you yelling at the romans for slaughtering the greeks, war has it's prices and it's rewards, so get over it. Hmm...interesting - I remember when we had our first discussions about the Iraq war - correct me if I'm wrong but were you not one of the few people arguing that the economic cost of the war would far outweigh any gains bush got from oil? Anyway, regardless of whether that's true or not, if you love a country, that doesn't mean you should get involved with any immoral scuffle the current leader gets you involved with. In fact, if your uncle TRULY loved the country, he should be concerned not with fighting this war, but with STOPPING the war, so that the US can salvage at least a small modicum of their international reputation, before the rest of the world starts hating America as much as bin Laden does.

Just Ate The Hottest Pepper In My Life!

"mexican death peppers"? Are they anything like "guatemalan insanity peppers"? -
Wow, faggotry in motion. I never once acted. 100% genuine. You lose again. I love the fact your trying to be like maddox. I can see it right there. Your way or no ones way. And does my sexual orintation have to do with this? What? Are you against gays? I do think. That we are different. I lose again? You want me to say why you keep getting banned? Easy. You aren't the smartest in the world. You post like you know everything about everyone. If you don't like it, you say your way is better. There's more to this world then your opinons and your words. I don't care if I get warned at this point. You do fail life. You try to make everyone your shadow. That is why you keep getting banned. You are a tool. You seemingly hate any opinon that condradicts yours. What I did say is true, unlike in your fantasy world. Love it or hate it. Your world is based on a one track slide that runs over anything that disagrees with you because you say your statment is true. Now do me the favor and flame me so I can ignore you and your ignorence that plagues this world. You make some good points, but this dude's not too bad. When he first turned up I thought, oh no, another jennyjennyjenny, but at least he's restrained when he posts about his hatred of most things.

And then someone suggests 'spysweeper' because it's better...etc. etc. etc. It seems like there's a new one of these threads every week now!

Can't really think of anyone - I used to know a female called 'lindsay' and a male called 'lindsey' and they were both into punk music, but that's about it

I have the first graphic novel of Ranma 1/2: I also have a graphic novel of kodomo no omocha (child's toy)

I've read midori no hibi. I've also seen the kenshin series, before it was dubbed and licenced in the US, and it was a GREAT series. Sure it was like Dragonball Z in how many episodes the battle scenes pan out, but it was still awesome.

Where's that logic if you use mame, kawaks, nebula etc... etc... to play cps1/2 roms, youre playing fighting games on your pc anyway.

Just Ate The Hottest Pepper In My Life!

I love spicy foods! I put tabasco on anything. And I use so much of it it doesn't taste hot to me anymore, it just tastes kind of sweet. -
Yes there is. If you don't like it...you suck. You have no taste in life. Plain and simple. You sir, failed life to begin with. Sure you have tastes, but quit acting like a smartass and maddox to begin with. Then maybe you'll pass this far into life. Ka-Zing! I totally agree with your opinion of maddox clones too k'dash. Maddox's site is funny because it rants at social conventions and popular things...and yet, even when he's in his biggest rant mode I can still see that he generally respects human rights and stuff (he'd never, for example, write a rant-page about how he hates black people or homosexuals). When most other people try to imitate his style they either come off looking like morons or total bigots.

I'll tell you guys what this is about - I am sick and flocking tired of the climate of fear that abounds in the 21st Century. Because of flocking Bush and his cronies, people are now equating terrorist attacks with WEBSITES ABOUT NINJAS! Because of Bush they are saying 'terrorists are jealous of our freedom, so we must restrict freedom of speech in all areas, because if a 13-year old kid is allowed to write what he wants on a website, that'll mean it'll be easier for THE TERRORISTS to win.' I mean that statement does NOT make sense. It so doesn't make sense, trying to ponder the logic for too long would make your brain implode. But mostly I am sick and tired of the fact that the al Qaeda attacks get justified by, 'these terrorists are jealous of our freedom.' Now, 9/11 was a terrible tragedy, sure, and attacking civilians for government actions is very wrong, but if anybody just bothered to look into things for TWO MINUTES, they'd see that bin Laden attcked the US not because he is jealous of freedom (the man's a member of the Saudi Royal Family or something, he's rich as flock, I don't think he'd be too jealous of the US for that reason) but because of the US militaries' and governments' repeated butting in on the world's affairs, such as arming Hussein and helping him get into power when it suited them. And skythe, flock you, I'm dissatisfied with the current state of world politics, and it's my right, nay my DUTY, to rant about it until I'm red in the face. And if you don't like it, in fact if you see ANY justification in George Bush's words claiming 'there ought to be limits to freedom', well you have alot to learn about what the concept of democracy means.

My word, I am losing faith in humanity faster than Jennifer Lopez's marriages. I just found this site called http://www.realultimatepower.net. It is a fun, yet completely factually innacurate site about ninjas. The site itself I have no problem with - parts of it are quite amusing. But because my favourite thing to do on sites that have that section is read hate-mail, I was scanning through, and seriously, people are idiots. The hate-mail fell into two categories 1) I know more about ninjas than you (never mind the fact that he obviously realises the facts are inaccurate), and 2)Please don't publish this stuff, think of the children!!! He's had death threats. The kid even freaking got SUED (but won the lawsuit - ha ha) by some mother who said that her kids started freaking out after reading the site - and were now on the fast track to juvie. Of course this biatch just couldn't face up to the fact that she was a bad mother, so looked to other sources to blame - hence why she lost the lawsuit. Did I mention he's a 13 year old child???!!? I really lost faith when I read this message My god, only in the 21st century would people equate a site about ninjas with terrorism. She's a bush supporter - that's bad enough to depress me, I can't believe there are any of those LEFT! She's a racist biatch, obviously, by the way she says, 'you lie like those arab websites'. AARGH! She doesn't even have two brain-cells to rub together. The first sentences are a laugh. Don't you love it how she urges him to check his facts, and then comes up with this bollocks; What the flock is she talking about? In the war on iraq alone the last figure I saw for Iraqi casualties was 13,000 - and that was just while the 'war' was still going on (officially that is). The US Gov't helped Saddam attain power - and that's just one of the shopping-list of dictators they've installed and armed in the middle east and elsewhere. And terrorist attacks every day? She's living in a state of fear and delusion! But here's what really gets me; the fatal flaw in her argument - she says that 'the terrorists' are all jealous of 'our freedom'; and that the best way to fight the war on terrorism is to limit freedom - the freedom of speech - by removing a 13-year old's website. Huh??? And then she goes on to say 'you're lucky you live in america, where no one is going to really kill you for your obnoixioucity'. Way to make up a word, brainiac! The word is 'obnoxiousness' - obnoixioucity sounds like something you'd power a car with. Now I've made fun of her grammar - here's what's REALLY wrong with that statement. She is clearly not tolerant at all; if she cared about freedom and tolerance, she'd let him have his right to freedom of speech! I flocking hate conservative pricks like those, the one's that would shut down a website that was critical of Bush, or one promoting homosexuality or other 'alternative lifestyles' that closed-minded bigots like her frown on. They're the type that would blow up abortion clinics - killing doctors - under a banner proudly expressing "right to life". When did 'conservative' come to mean 'intolerant bigot'??? Argh, people suck.

So? I wouldn't mind if I was hit on by a guy - actually that did happen once but I was too smashed to realise WHAT was going on. I didn't mind in the morning when I realised what was happening though.
-
I still get the same problem - using Firefox AND internet explorer! It's probably just me -damn that's annoying though.
