  1. Let me also add that history works in cycles. When Clinton was in charge I had a quite positive view of the concept that is America. But now that the right wing has its talons over the white house, the agendas shift, and now all that's being discussed from America is 1) the war, and 2) the president trying to ban gay marriages. You can see how that would shift my perspective a little.
  2. Yeah, you've got me there burr... sometimes I think I'm racist towards Americans. Let me qualify that by saying, I don't hate Americans, but although I try very hard not to think in stereotypes (to me, that's a form of racism), I often think stereotypicially of Americans. It's just that all the news coming out of the US is so negative. Obviously you guys can't see how America is portrayed to the rest of the world, but let me say, it's a very negative image (to me anyway).
  3. Oh, I understand what you're saying. I agree with it too. But if these news braodcast's of American soldiers keep happening, if a nuke or 2 are dropped, I hope I see the flash from cali. Why the hell should Iraq be nuked because its people are being tortured by the Americans?
  4. A friend of mine recently came out, and then went back in again . But I always somehow knew he wasn't really gay (I know that sounds lke I was being prejudiced, but I wouldn't care if he was gay, straight, or a necrophiliac (well, maybe not that last one! ). But I never said anything until one really drunken session when we had intimate conversations all round, and I told him that i thought he wasn't really gay, and he said that's true, and told us all that he had been subconsciously testing us to see if we really accepted him, kind of thing, and I guess we passed!
  5. Bomb shitake mushrooms, one state at a time. Of course they're not going to witch hunt every white guy! HELLO! Bush=President=Bomber of shitake mushrooms. Sure it's easy to criticse somebody when it's not you, but when it is you what do you do? You take every mofo you can find and beat thier azz. I dont know how they do it in the up over, but here in the O.C. Of America we kick Nikkas azzes. What exactly do you mean? I'm confused
  6. Dude, your thinking is just flocked up. Let me put it in terms you'll understand: imagine if someone from Texas blew up a building in California, and the Californians retaliated by invading Arizona! Now, does that make any sense to you?
  7. Dammit, that is the problem with you Americans (and that answers your question, cominus). Let me spell it out for you really slowly: NEITHER IRAQ, NOR SADDAM HUSSEIN, HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH 9/11! For that matter, neither did the country Afghanistan, apart from hiding bin Laden after the event. In fact, Saddam and bin Laden hated each other (that is, until the US started attacking Iraq, I think that changed Hussein's mind a bit. al Qaeda is a terrorist organisation which belongs to no country. Got that? IF there were Iraqis working for al Qaeda, it would have been because people from alot of countries were members of al Qaeda. Honestly, when Timothy McVeigh orchestrated the Oklahoma bombing, Americans didn't go on a witch hunt for every white guy, or every christian, they could find. That's because they realised that McVeigh's actions were not represenetative of the (white) people of America - just like bin Laden's actions weren't typical of the average muslim in Afghanistan, or for that matter, the average Muslim: because that's what this has turned into: the west against (middle eastern) muslims. And that's a disguisting generalisation
  8. I thought the cartoon was pretty clear...it's supposed to be set in an iraqi prison, and one of the army guys is watching that beheading video on his computer, and remarking on how cruel it is. Meanwhile, one of the Iraqi prisoners is being used as a bike rack.
  9. I'll give you a hint: he was watching the only thing that's been on the news for the past 48 hours.
  10. Bugger it, I don't know how to use this new image host. Oh well, I've linked to it as an external URL. Just click on the link
  11. http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpubimage.asp?id_=8757703 If that doesn't work try this: http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=880886
  12. Yep. Stupid me, should think before I type. Nyeh. The fact remains, I want more Rival Schools action!
  13. It's good: so good, that I set it as my wallpaper
  14. I'm trying that - in fact my hair is longer than Violences - and it ISN'T working out
  15. Well that's the only thing I was thinking of...that is I was thinking it would be a disadvantage to the game if you couldn't do that in KOF:MI. I'll have to see this video, but I can't be bothered signing up to gamespot atm.
  16. Holy crap, there were gonna be rival schools characters in Capcom All Stars? Dammit, sega, why oh why did you cancel it!
  17. I haven't seen the video, but does anyone else notice that all the screenshots so far were taken from a fixed camera angle (a 2D style camera angle?) If it's the same in the video, do you reckon the whole game will be like this? If so what do you think? I personally think that if you're gonna make a 3D fighter, you have to have a floating camera! (otherwise it's not a 3D fighter, just a 2D fighter with 3D-rendered characters).
  18. Ha, the DS is selling for $200 as well! There goes one of the few 'advantages' the DS was supposed to have! As for that pc handheld thingy, the system specs suck. You couldn't play any new games on it, I'd say.
  19. wha!? the dirt bike is in vice city. I am talking about the retarded low rider bicycle. No, there were only motorcycles in VC. I was talking about the bicycle (we sometimes call BMX bikes 'dirt bikes'
  20. Just don't get me started on the whole 'jewish conspiracy' theory! It's a myth, dammit, like the Illuminati (or are they?)
  21. and i said im the slow one... read again.... i said if englands and americas occupational forces left the country would be free to create wepaons of mass destructions.. i know none were found before but after the way iraq has been treated theres no way they would just let it rest with all outside forces just leaving... theyd certainly want revenge! Well, you've got me there, so I retract my statement. Mainly because someone else has pissed me off more. WTF Texas? I didn't think I'd ever encounter thinking like that here. A few salient points, if I may 1) Yes, actually, there have been a number of deaths of iraqi prisoners reported, so they DID kil some of the people they tortured 2) A number of people did speak against Saddam's regime. And guess what, they got captured and tortured? Hmm....not much in it for them, was there? 3) The Iraqis have every right to protest the US's INVASION of their country, even though cutting off businessmens's heads is not the way to do it 4) The 'militants' (those who opposed Saddam anyway) cared when Saddam was in power and doing 'something bad', and now they care that the US is in power and doing 'something bad'. Can you perhaps imagine how it might kind of sting when a country invaded theirs to get rid of a dictator and his torturous regime, and then proceed to TORTURE people??? Also, someone said something like 'if you have a beef with the US take it up with the military, not someone just trying to help their country' (I can't be bothered finding the exact quote). My response to that: They are. All those insurrections are people 'taking it up' with the army. And that's not working. Clearly, they felt that they had to resort to more drastic measures to get our attention. And it worked. Also, any US business men in iraq aren't trying to help the country, they're trying to get rich off the Iraqi people and their plight. It's as simple as that. Of course, that doesn't mean this dude deserved to die, though.
  22. Nah, monkey, there's no way we'd evolve that fast. It'd take tens of thousands of years for us to grow an extra finger! But my position on aliens is, the universe is so frikkin' huge, surely we can't be the only ones here? Last month or so, I went out drinking, and came up with the theory that the reason all the rest of the planets are so unlivable is that the human race has been planet-hopping throughout history, and we've managed to f*ck up every planet in the solar system so far except Earth, and each time our memories are wiped so we start afresh, and immediately start polluting the planet and blowing huge holes in it with explosive wars. For the whole night, I was convinced that I'd uncovered the secrets of the universe! But when I sobered up I didn't believe my theory so much any more
  23. Don't knock the dirt-bike! I can't wait to take that out for a spin!
  24. Ash, I'd mock your beliefs and values, but you've already said you're a little slow. How about finding out how many weapons of mass destruction they FOUND in Iraq (0) before posting that populist propaganda (ps sorry if it seems like I'm insulting you again, I just don't pull any punches when I talk politics). PS I saw a great political cartoon which I think summarised the whole Iraq war today. It was set just outside of Bhagdad, and the soldiers were all set up and firing at Iraq, and Osama bin Laden was standing right in front of the soldiers and waving his arms at them, and the platoon leader is saying to his second in command, 'Get that guy out of the way, he's blocking the view!', or something like that. I laughed my arse off when I saw that one, right in the middle of class.
