But the thing is threads usually hang around here until everyone has said what they want to say. So if someone resurrects an old thread (and 90% of the time they don't say anything important) we're already sick of the topic (as there's usually nothing more to say on the matter)

Isn't it funny that if these were consoles not handhelds, we wouldn't even be discussing which system would win, because the psp is so much more powerful than the ds that there'd be no competition? That's my two cents. The psp is going to be awesome, and will be better than the ds, touch-screen or not. As to who will win out, though, only time will tell.

Now, For Something Totally Different...

Well, now to piss everyone off...you see I'm a member of the desensitised generation. So I don't have a problem saying, yes that was a despicable act of violence, a terrible thing that should not happen to anybody, but I don't see it as any worse than the (Government-ordered mind you) torture and killing of iraqi prisoners -many of whom were declared by UNICEF or some such organisation as being innocent. I'm a pacifict so one of my favourite quotes is "an eye for an eye leaves the world blind" (Ghandi) but if I did believe in that kind of justice, I'd say SOMEONE had it coming. It's just awful that some poor bastard had to be the recipient of that brutal justice. -
I don't give a damn what you do, it's not like you're going to listen to a word we say anyway (you didn't last time) and you'll probably have forgotten all about it next month (again, it seems, like last time). Honestly, I'm starting to think you're just coming up with all these threads (first 'should I do this' then 'online romance' and now this one) just to try to impress us all. Well I don't know about anyone else but it's not working on me. Ps sorry if any of that sounded mean

wow, i leave this topic alone for a few hours and it gets huge... just to add my two cents on the opinions raised by everyone: I'd been using IE6, even though I had mozilla for ages, I only now started using firefox, and it was because Mozill didn't have features that IE6 did (in other words, I was used to it, like people have said they were). But I've been using firefox for less than two days now, and I already know how to do everything in IE, and alot of the ways are BETTER than IE's methods. And now I've got NEW features to play with! Now, I'm not saying this because I'm saying firefox is the best browser out there (although it is the best one I've used), but because learning how to use and configure it was actually fun, and the features made me forget about IE. I'd even uninstall it if there were some sites you couldn't acces. And I remember someone (sorry can't remember who) said that they use IE cause there are sites you can't access in the other browsers. That's true, but there's a nice little feature in Firefox called "send link", that, if you use it, will open the link in IE. There, problem solved. Again, this isn't said because firefox is cool, but because it proves that there are intuitive ways for browsers to work around the limitations that come with not working for M$. Let me finallise this statement with a mention of security isses: IE is insecure. More than any other browser I know of. Also, it's alot easier to be infected with spyware etc..etc..etc... To counter the 'convenience' point, it took me less than a minute to download firefox, about 5 minutes to learn the basics, and I spent half an hour or so downloading extensions. After that time I already know how to do everything I knew how to do in the IE series (and I'd been picking up little tips for years). Now THAT'S convenient! PS I'm sorry, ash, but if you couldn't tell that gryph was being sarcastic in that post you REALLY need to start reading the posts more clearly!

Firefox is better, you can do all that (probably) and more. I especially like the mouse gestures tool.

Spaced was really funny!

Well, whatever I'd get I'd eat shitloads of food, so that when the guards were leading me away I could throw up on them all! MUAHAHA!

I don't think this has been done before...I did a search and I couldn't find it, so here's the question: what browser are you using? I ask because I just downloaded Firefox and I'm really digging it. How about you guys? Also, are there any browsers I forgot?

For me, I'd have a 3 course meal, with tandoori chicken, the spiciest vindaloo on earth, and then cap it all off with some expensive coffee-flavoured ice-cream

yes, you are. Trust me. Just leave it at that. -
Great, I just noticed that. I wonder if you guys have ever glanced at the rules? yeah, but I didn't notice that either - if we both didn't notice it, doesn't it stand to reason that it's not going to damage any childrens' delicate psyches (or whatever excuse people give for making portraying nakedness 18+)?

1152 x 864 (the resolution I perfer to use) + Top Sig - 500 x 141 + Bottom Sig - 480 x 143 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600 have the same measurements...I'm not spoiling anything, nor am I bashing anyone in them...both sigs are under the maximum size...there's no "blinkies" (whatever the f--ck those are...) so the only rule I've "broken" is that there's more than one...so quit your b-tchin'...I'll solve this in a better manner... But that's fuzzy logic - if the maximum image size is a certain size, that means you can only have one image, that just stands to reason. Oh well, it doesn't matter now, because GameCop took one image away.

This is weird, I've always been able to see both Violences and Weird's sigs and avatars, so it seems like some people can see them and some people cant?!?

Yeah! I remember that! That was the movie with that asshole from Fast and Furious. I even played the game a long time ago which also sucked. I haven't read the book (nor will I) but I can't expect it to be very good. ha ha, now I'm picturing a computer game character wandering through a cave made of styrofoam!

...or you guys could bottle in your urge to dismiss anything you've already seen as 'old' and let other people who've never seen the thing before get a chance to see it. -

So anyways it a DC? And what is it anyways? A new system or a portable or a preexisting console? The ds is Nintendo's new console. It has two screens, and the bottom screen is a touch-button pad. It's a good idea, but I still reckon the psp is going to be alot better. And I don't think the price will matter - the gamecube has been $50 cheaper than the other consoles for a while, and the ps2's still beating the pants off of it in sales. -

this is getting amusingly annoying! Whenever anyone posts ANY links here, in under 5 minutes, someone else posts 'oh, that's OLD.' Well, guess what people, it is not possible for anybody to have seen the entire internet, okay? Plus it's impsossible to catch everything, especially for people with dial-up or full time jobs or who study full-time (ie at uni). This isn't aimed at k'dash, it's aimed at EVERYONE. -

...which means the psp will STILL own over the DS -
well, there you have it - verdict: guilty, punishment: the testicles thing.

But it seems like the psp will be alot more powerful, because the ds is said to be slightly more powerful than the n64, and the psp is said do be slightly less powerful than the ps2. -
