-VIOLENCE- isn't a woman, he's a metrosexual (to Violence; I wasn't insulting or making fun of you, I just think the term applies to you more than anyone I 'know'.)

Yeah, I remember when you posted those pictures the 1st time, -Violence-

What about the "Should I do this?" thread? 'Should I Do This' fits rather well in there. The Funny car pics thread also. Here is my top 5 0r so: 1. Cosplay 2. Should I do this? 3. Virtua Fighter 4. Funny car pics 5. Street Fighter 3 third strike/Frost flame war thread 6. JennyJennyJenny Flame war thread Well it seems that your top 4 threads are 4 that you've started. Someone here has a mighty inflated opinion of himself. It's not that, I was just giving my honest opinion. But Cosplay and Funny Car pics just ended up being complete spam-topics. If you want to spam, go to one of the emulation message boards that have a "spam section"! I mean, you especially were posting a picture a minute for lines of 10+ posts! AND most of the posts didn't even have any text in them! That's not posting its SPAMMING! I've changed my mind completely about this, I think they shouldn't be considered classic threads because of all the I'm sorry but it pisses me off when I see posts where the same person posted 3 times in a row, so when people post 10 or more times in a row I get REALLY annoyed!

Sorry if I'm not too freaked out by those "true ghost stories" but look at this page: http://www.true-ghost-stories.com/evidence3.html They're just spots of light! Whoopdy doo, that's X-Files stuff! She *says* the photos have been checked out by paranormal investigators/sony employees, but where's the PROOF?

if something like that is the work of ghosts - my monitor must be a haunted graveyard. Here's why, sometimes my monitor just randomly goes into the setup mode *that you usually have to press a button to access* and starts fiddling with its own controls. Often I have to press the button heaps before it stops happening because it will often turn the set-up mode on itself, i'll turn it off, it'll turn it back on etc...for 5 or 6 times. Also, my monitor often (such as when it go into powersave/screensaver mode when a game is running) shrinks itself really small, so that the horizontal setting is at about 30% where its usually set at 70%. But the weird thing is all this is happening to the monitor, a hardware thing, not software which is prone to bugginess. I don't get it.

How does that work?

You don't need proof that Bush is an idiot, you just have to wait for him to open his mouth - then it's self-evident!

The Hacker Of 1Emulation Is Now Revealed.
random guy replied to Alpha's topic in 1Emulation.com Information [/info]
Really? It's still down for me -
I hope for all Americans' sake, you are not American, LordKanti. From what you reply, I deduce that you are so ignorant in life, thinking that you can impose your AMerican values on anyone. Mind you, I have American friends who really respect other people's way of life, not trying to impose their life onto others. I do hope you did not represent most of the Americans. First off...I don't represent most Americans. Second of all, yes, I was being sarcastic. Thank goodness for that!

A Tip For Avoiding Spyware/certain Viruses
random guy replied to random guy's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Yeah, I use 'webroot spysweeper' which is the best anti-spyware program I've used. this thing even removes all the tracking cookies google tries to send whenever you search. But still, this way it doesn't have to do as much. -
Religious Things That Make The World...
random guy replied to Wizard's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Well I myself am a very spiritual person in that I believe there is a higher power in the universe - mainly because I refuse to believe that all this happened by accident. However, I tried christianity and it didn't really gel for me, and it was mainly because of the bible. This book, supposedly the 'word of god' was written 200 years after the death of Jesus, then rewritten in during the dark ages to update it for a feudal generation (ie make it the king & queen rule by 'divine right', then again by King James - to make it more palatable to the common-folk, and the bible most people read is the 'good news bible' which is another rewrite to make it appeal to a more sophisticated generation, then there's the 'gideon's bible' (the one in all the hotel rooms) that's different too...and now they're trying to rewrite the bible to appeal to a technocratic generation, and another version in Aussie Slang.... Aaargh! how is this expected to be 'the word of God' anymore if the whole thing was supposedly written 200 years after the fact, and has since been changed so many times it would hardly resemble the first one anymore? Plus, how many people knew that Easter was originally a Pagan holiday? When the church was trying to convert the pagans, they said "oh, we've got that holiday, too!" so that catholocism seemed more appealing! -
Oh, how I've dreamed of being a mod ! But I know I don't make the grade. I'd have to go off and train in a mystical zen temple of buddhist internet monks for a year to qualify!

Religious Things That Make The World...
random guy replied to Wizard's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
2nd Edit: It applies to those living in the Untied States because the Bill of Rights is flawed when compared to the 10 Commandments. Well I can see how that knocks out 1, 2 and 3 but I don't know about the other ones. -
I just thought I'd share a little hint I use for keeping spyware progs/viruses/pop-up ads on the internet at bay. It's not a hugely technical thing, but I bet a few people won't have heard of it. Here's what you do: (note I use internet explorer 6 so the info is for this) go to tools: internet options: security and choose a custom level of security. Then click on the 'customize button'. The first 5 or 6 options are about ActiveX controls. Change all of those to prompt (except for maybe "enable unsigned ActiveX controls, which I've disabled all-together). Now, when you go to a site which has activeX scripting, you can choose whether or not you want that to run. It will say something like, "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and plug-ins to run?" The best idea is to say "no" to every website that doesn't have a SWF window, because I don't know of any other legitimate reasons for activeX controls to have to run, and it doesn't seem to create any problems if you don't run the controls, unless there's a flash window, in which case it won't run. So there you go. If you screwed up and stopped a flash-movie from running, all you have to do is refresh the page and click on "yes" instead of "no", and next-time you visit a site that has embedded nasties in the activeX coding, they won't be able to infect your computer.

Religious Things That Make The World...

I only looked at the first page, about the commandments violating ammendments, and he didn't prove anything - he didn't even put up the first ammendment as a comparison. he just said, yep, that commandment violates the first ammendment all right! The only good argument he could come up with, and the only one in which I agreed with him, was for the coveting commandment - it is definitely true that capitalists strive to create a covet-ridden society; how else would they sell their products if you weren't jealous of that dude with surround sound in his car? -
No no no, force X, you have misunderstood, Agozer and I merely thought it'd be good To have a rhyme face-off, there's no flaming this instance It's just like the dueling banjos from 'Deliverance'!
-
A call to arms, that was indeed! Just let me fetch my mighty steed! We stand, right now, upon a battlefield, Only one may win, the other'll yeild. We fight, for pride and for victory. Which one will win? Only time will see!
-
for a rhyming match, you do us call? My dear friend, I am enthralled! do you feel you can beat my prose? If so, go nuts, good luck Agoze - ...r
-
But Agozer's mummy is a little bit funny If it runs into you you'll be mummified too And your movement will turn kind of scummy (that's a limerick )

I've Had Enough Crap, Heres "jenny3s" Details
random guy replied to random guy's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah, you missed it alright... Jenny asked for help with a Saturn game called Decathlete. I helped "her" by saying that the bugs might be due to poor emulation. "She" didn't take that so well started to insult me....Like a friggin' lot. Then random came along.... Basically this whole ordeal started beween jenny and me. random, why don't you explain the rest? yeah but only if I get to do one of those cool flashbacks like in Wayne's world. +me waves hands in flash-back inducing style [/flashback]Well I was getting pretty annoyed that Jenny3 kept insulting Agozer when he was only trying to help to the best of his ability, so i said something like 'why exactly do you expect people to help you if you keep insulting them, you jerk?' and Maaan 'she' (this is when we still thought she might be a 'she') didn't like that. The thing is jenny3 kept saying to ANYONE who tries to help her to 'stop wasting my time'. after she insulted me a bit I said to 'her' flat out what we've told you is the best advice you'll get period. Then a few more people came and told her exactly the same thing. Then 'she' started accusing us of speaking for everybody no matter how many people said the same thing, and insulting EVERYONE and I do mean anyone who posted on that board. All the while calm old Agozer was trying to calm things down, but I was getting angrier and angrier. So things got pretty nasty, some nasty things were said, and then she started saying blatantly racist and homophobic comments so I accused her of being a nazi and...yeah it went on for a while until Agozer calmed me down and I agreed not to post anymore. Meanwhile, GameCop was told of this and banned Jennyjennyjenny outright (although it was 'her' third offence in, what, 3 days or something? That's an incredible amount of misbehaving in such a short period). Anyway, before 'she' got banned Jenny3 started emailing me - possibly because I wasn't responding to her posts anymore - and I got induced into fighting again, until I finally got so annoyed that i posted his (I'd found his real name from his email) hate-filled emails and email adress. Then GameCop posted the post in this forum that made me realise I was being childish so i removed the e-mail adress.[/flashback] Alright, that's the whole story. Phew!
