  1. Haven't seen that south park episode in years!
  2. Come on, if you expect us to believe you at least provide some screenshots, your friend oughta let you do that just press print-screen and paste it into paint or something. But don't just fake screenshots coz we'll know!
  3. It might be possible but I'm only basing this on the fact that I have a PSX game that has a region selector at the start (ie press X for PAL, O for NTSC). Of course, the game itself doesn't work (the zip has a bad CRC) but I reckon that was a problem with the dl. Or it could be completely unrelated.
  4. Has anyone else tried to play "perfect dark" on 1964? If you have could you play it properly? For me it is rather slow (but thats coz I have a crappy PC) but also all the colours are weird - its like "paintball" mode whenever I shoot (for the steam coming off the gun), and also everywhere looks like a disco with flashing red, green and blue lights. I actually don't mind it as it makes the game look cooler but I was curious as to why this was happening and if anyone else experienced it?
  5. It may be that you don't have the correct plug-ins (or any). As Agozer said, it would help if you told us which emulator, but look to see if you have a "plug-ins" directory and if it is empty or not.
  6. Hmm... yeah I suppose but what I wanted to do is kind of like the REVERSE of a macro. Oh well, I figured out how to configure it so I had enough buttons - basically, i have the left analogue stick being the d-pad and the right analogue stick being the N64 analogue stick...that works pretty well.
  7. Yeah, even if this guy isn't lying, dime for dozen it was Street Fighter Alpha 3 he was playing. Nice, one GriffinClaw! That's pretty much word for word what this Frost dude said, did anyone else notice? Sorry, frost, its nothing personal, but coming onto an emulation forum and saying your friend has written an emulator for an arcade machine that even MAME can't emulatem on a system that would quite probably be unable to handle emulating it, without proof, you are going to get shot down pretty quickly. Who, me?
  8. I just had a thought about this thing - the default box according to the website will not come with a dsl modem, just an ethernet adaptor. Surely, seeing as it will be using the same internet connection as your PC, you'll just be able to download games onto your PC and then copy it accross the ethernet? If this thing ever comes out, and someone figures out how to do this, so much for all this system's well hyped copy protections!
  9. Agozer, I was referring to the part of the article that said this:
  10. Weirdzeige like I said I live in Australia and only have free-to-air TV so it was on one of our local channels (SBS)
  11. Bite me. I live in Australia and I only have free TV so those shows WERE new to me. How was I to know this was old news in the US? Well I guess I didn't really mean "bite me". Or did I Anyway, to people new to emulation, EVERYTHING is new to them - even a SNES emulator. I remember how excited I was when I found my first Master System emulator way back in the day, when my computer could hardly handle emulating it. And anyway do you consider SNES, Genesis indeed any game older than "2-4 months" to be considered "old stuff", and not worth talking about? If you don't like my post, don't read it. Besides which, I found the documentary really entertaining mainly because of the people's REACTIONS to being asked to pose nude. Honestly, it was one of the best documentaries I have seen in a while. Besides, I don't think mass public nudity could ever be considered "old news"!
  12. I discovered an article that has a LOT of links to negative information about this company and its CEO with links including to the original article Infinitum threatens "legal action" over [H]ardocp article
  13. I'm using project 64 with N-Rage's pad plugin and I was wondering if there was a way to configure it so that when I hold down a certain button and press another button it does a different thing. Namely, I am using a psx-style joypad and I was wondering if there was a way to configure it so that when I hold down L2, square and x are buttons A and B but when I don't hold down L2 all the buttons (square, x, O and triangle) are the C-Buttons.
  14. Does anyone know how I can connect in Active Mode using DC++ despite my Norton Internet Security firewall? The problem is that my IP keeps changing (I think) so that I cannot enter an ip into the box. Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to solve it?
  15. Yeah, but don't forget that 90% of the links that get posted on that forum (or anywhere on this board, for that matter) become dead links within a week! No, that forum is needed, I would say.
  16. Yeah so much for kof2k3 being the last title on the Neo Geo...I remember ppl giving that as an excuse for wanting it so much but now it seems we'll get AT LEAST two more games before the trickle dries up completely.
  17. ..anyway, there was something even FUNNIER on before that. Anyone seen "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law"? Basically, Birdman was a 70's Hannah Barbara superhero. The story goes that he couldn't find work as a superhero anymore so he became a lawyer and he represents all his old Hannah Barbara superhero buddies. In the first episode (the one I saw) he was representing "Apache Chief" - an ex- Superfriend whose power was to enlarge. He spilt coffee on his lap and so he lost his superpowers (lots of erection jokes followed) - and decided to sue the coffee company. It was HILARIOUS (especially the prosecutor with the shrink-ray!). I was gonna write about that but then I got distracted by all the nudity.
  18. Oh man, you'll never believe this - there's this program on TV right now about a photographer who takes photographs of large groups of people posing nude in public! I'd write more but my attention is kind of distracted!
  19. I found this onthe Guru's page: What the status means is that its been dumped, it isn't emulated and not for sale. So I suppose it is technically possible considering that the board has been dumped, however if the Guru thinks that CPS3 emulation is not possible/unlikely, I fail to see how. Unless this friend of yours broke encryption that the Guru and other "best of the best" MAME developers cannot crack.
  20. Not necessarily, it depends on the way it would be programmed (ie the no sound support would speed things up a little. Also if it only supports sfIII than it would be much less code - so faster to process). Not that I believe that it is true though, this friend of yours is probably lying Frost. But, I'd love to see you prove me wrong!
  21. IF this is true, tell your friend that if he posts it he will become a local hero on the emulation scene! (and tell him to post it here first ) (IF its true)
  22. PCSX2 is, I believe, the most advanced one out there. They can "reach the menu" in a number of games (hey its progress! ) however I have yet to see any in-game screenshots. On this site is a list of games that do "something" in pcsx2: http://www.pcsx2.net/compatibility.php (the main page is at http://www.pcsx2.net/ - obviously)
