Camden, NJ is most dangerous city
random guy replied to i l l m a t i c's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I wouldn't feel safe anywhere in America, what with all the guns and crime going on there daily. -
I think discs are much better than carts (which I think the DS uses but the PSP uses discs). Think of the storage space for one thing. OH, and kanti, according to that article the battery WILL be removable.

I did: The category: "Person who's arse I'd like to kick into next year" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That has to be the biggest joke I have ever herd. I must f33r teh scrawny keyboard warrior. Please don't make me post hidden profile pics of you. Oh and I have added more: Most hated member of the year: 1. Fatal Rose <{POST_SNAPBACK}> See, that's why you're the most hated member of the year. You're juvenile, and you have one retaliation for anybody that says anything slightly bad to you, and although you seem to think it's still funny, the hidden profile pics joke got old months ago (not that it was that funny to begin with). *Yawn* Boring, get some new material. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah your just to anal, you take things to serious and you have been a jerk to me for the longest time for no reason. Why don't you post at 2emulation anymore? Thats why I have nominated you as the 2nd biggest pu$$y of the year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, you haven't done ANYTHING to me at all have you? Just call me a fag about a billion times, and post fake pictures of me, and go out of your way to aggrevate me in many threads I post at even though I deliberately said nothing to you. Yeah, you're just SO innocent, it's clearly all my fault that I retaliated to your multiple insults in your "nominations" with one insult of my own, what the hell was I thinking? And me leaving 2emu was just a big overreaction, even though you were spamming the boards with thousands of fake pictures and insults about me. [/sARCASM] (I know I wasn't supposed to reply to this but I had to dammit this was pissing me off too much).

How ironic that the launch title for the new Nintendo handheld is a SONIC game! -
Damn...poor everyone. There are only victims in a situation like this

Company Launches JFK Assassination Game
random guy replied to solidius23's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
XIII was an awesome game, and the only reason it didn't sell was that people weren't ready for an animated fps (I was, on the other hand, and it looked and played great!) -
Company Launches JFK Assassination Game

I don't think it's all that bad if you think of it as an educational product. -
Where's SPAMMER OF THE YEAR on the list? Or FLAMER OF THE YEAR?
-
I just reckon it's nothing but a gimmick.

The gf4 440mx can actually play UT2K4 pretty well (only not on high detail, of course)

Come on, it's lame. Who needs a touch screen, and name one use for the touch screen in an adult (as in, a game for older people not kids) game?

Consumer Alert: Holiday 2004 Demo Disc Glitch
random guy replied to Skythe's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
What type of game is viewtiful joe anyway? I keep hearing the name but that's all I know about it. -
Yeah, it's really starting to annoy me how games are implementing save state systems on the PC rather than letting you save when you want. The only way I can get through Doom 3 at all is to save almost every time I kill an enemy/group of enemies, as it's so dark and hard to see in that game I die all the time.

what kind of problems would that be? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The lack of good (or real for that matter) music was always a problem for me. Gah... If I have to listen to "She's on Fire" one more time, I swear I'm gonna go on another rampage. "I've never been on fire. At least, not to my knowledge." GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH... Y'know what GTA needs? A pocket radio. An MP3 player. You could steal a CD player or something so you can listen to music outside of a car. As fun as it is running people down to "Kids in America", it'd be even more fun rampaging with a flamethrower to the same song. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you still can't listen to music outside of cars, but at least in vice city (not sure about gta3) for the pc you can add your own mp3s by putting them in the mp3 folder and choose that folder like you would a radio station.

Yeah, that's what I figured he meant. And it would make sense too seeing as how dark doom 3 is.

Hobbits have leather on the undersides of their feet.

They were for me too - until I played a little game by a chzech-based company that blew all my expectations away. "Mafia", for the PC. Has anyone played it yet? It's amazing!

SNK, don't direct your holier-than-thou critique at one of my favourite shows, please! As for the criticisms - homer becoming stupider was just a natural evolution of his character, and I for one like how much of a quick-to-anger alcoholic Homer has become. Bart on the other hand has toned down his "badness" alot, you obviously haven't been watching or you'd actually know that. As for the religion thing - I don't know if you can notice but the show is a look at suburban life in middle america, and for most of middle america that means christianity - it's an irreplacable part of the setting. The fact that there are so many cracks at religion considering the target audience and model family are amazing and show the greatness of the writers. The stories, too, are just natural evolutions - they've got crazier as the stories have progressed- and I for one preferred season 15, say, to even the earlier seasons like 3 or 4. The non-lead female characters sound fine to me and I must have watched every episode multiple times. Also, it's not sexist because the voice of Bart is done by a woman so King of the Hill absolutely sucks compared to the simpsons - it has NO JOKES in it, or at least none that make me laugh. Compare that to the Simpsons which usually has a number of jokes in a minute. The show's great strength is the number of jokes they can fit in an episode. Sure, that means no-one'll get every joke (at least, not without multiple viewing) but the great thing is it doesn't matter, because you'll be entertained all the way through. Southpark, too, is awesome - I love the way they've matured and turned to social commentary. Just because you happen to not like a show doesn't mean its asinine or boring or bad. The same goes for games, and you really need to learn that if you want to go into the gaming industry, or you won't get very far at all.

Hope this is as good as tekken 3. Semi-offtopic, has anyone played the bootleg 24-in-1 NES rom that has NES tekken 2 on it?

http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=2492 This is great, it contains lots of references to old adventure games and stuff (sam & Max, DOTT, Monkey Island...), and lots of other games too. WARNING: If your like Gryph, be aware as there are references to 9/11 AND Abu Grahib. I'm just mentioning it so no-one complains about it later.

Actually, it can be spelled Q'ran, Quran, or Koran, due to the only vague approximation of the latin alphabet and sanskrit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Koran is how our local media and reporters spell it, so I'm not going to start an argument over proper writing at this time. That being said, I didn't know how Latin or Sanskrit write it, I just said it how I was taught to say it. But whatever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, the point is that when it was translated into latin characters, there was no real way to translate it's name considering that the characters are so different. Therefore, the closest approximations are koran, q'ran or quran, so either can be used.
