Actually, it can be spelled Q'ran, Quran, or Koran, due to the only vague approximation of the latin alphabet and sanskrit.

Colin Powell submits resignation

Aah, his conscience caught up to him. Good to see. -
I've thought about the whole land-buying thing and decided if you go by that logic Euro-Americans legitimately bought America from the Native Americans - at the cost of a few beads and smallpox-infected blankets. But then - I don't really know what I'm talking about. This thread has proven to me that my knowledge of the history of the conflict is less than intricate, so for all I know that's a bad comparison.

And during the crusades, christians were promised exactly the same thing for fighting against the Muslims.

The Half-Life 2 News and Rumors Thread

Right now it seems that many retailers are putting HL2 on shelves despite the Nov. 16th release date. On Nov. 16th Valve will turn on the authentication servers so people can actually play the game but people who have already bought the game are pissed because they can't play it. Valve wants to unlock it but Vivendi isn't letting them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why they want to do that?!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because Vivendi thinks it will undercut their sales and profits if they do do that. By the way, you should be more selective with your use of the rolleyes smiley face since it doesn't really make sense in that post. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah it does if you think that he was expressing disgust at Vivendi's decision. -
Did he ever being smartass? I always thought of him as the One who provide the Accurate Gaming Info <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me too.

man commits suicide at Ground Zero...

Well, you failed. You didn't prove any point. And the hypocrite statement was towards you since you've been b!tching at me for being "cruel", "heartless", "soulless", "conservative" (Where the hell did that come from?), etc because I don't give a crap for some total stranger that commited a stupid act (And for a stupid reason too.) yet you post that you'll have a party over my deAth (And a natural deAth at that.). That is a hypocritical statement. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I already told you, saying "conservatives have no hearts..." (notice I didn't say "Skythe has no heart, I said conservatives have no hearts" was just my way of deliberately more offensive than your statement, and also sqrls statement that "liberalism is a disease". If I was relly offended by what you said (ever) believe me, you'd know about it. But you're just some ignorant maddox wannabe so I've never cared what you said, and I probably never will. -

Should have known this would happen given that Sierra went under. -

Yeah man, I've never heard of this case before, but from reading the article, it seems like anywhere a trial was held, there'd automatically be bias against this guy because of the amount of airplay the story was getting. -

So...do these guys turn up to get their cars from you? What do they usually say when half their stuff has been nicked? -
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> those were awesome quotes. I also love the bit in "let's go to the hop" where they're having a perfectly normal conversation about parenting so it's all very normal...except that they're changing into full bondage gear. Then when they've topped talking, Lois says, "the safety word is banana", then peter says "I love you " and zips up a chain over his mouth, then Lois slams peter as hard as she can onto the bed (and *scene*).

What's the best Music creator for the PC?
random guy replied to shin_nihon_kikaku's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
That's not true, I've used fruity loops to make lots of mp3s Oh and my install of fruity loops was around 400mbs because it came with lots of samples. Maybe you only have a demo version or something. -
The comp at the lab is probably locked on "administrator" mode, meaning you're not an administrator, and hence can't install anything.

Hey, Kerry actually went to 'Nam unlike bush who hid behind his daddy in the national guard and then didn't even show up to national guard duty. Even if Kerry's actions weren't substantial enough for a purple heart (which they were. the swiftboat vets weren't even in the same UNIT as Kerry so how would they know?) there's not much comparison there really - a coward vs a war hero (and Kerry aint the coward!)

So what's that then? The Bohemian Rhapsody? Crappy wannabe metal artists... And yes, LIVE is a step back for PC gamers. But a huge leap for console gamers, who were previously limited to multiplayer within their own homes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it's the one that goes "I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matterrrrrrr..." And LSD I guess he gets writing credits the same way someone like Ashlee Simpson gets writing credits - changes a few words here and there, and suddenly she "wote" the song

They sure did (well technically the British did because they weren't Australians yet) - and it's one of the darkest and most disguisting periods in our brief history.

I'm not talking about biblical history, I'm talking about the generations of people living there for centuries. I'd be pretty pissed if New Zealand invaded Australia and forced all the previous inhabitants to only live in parts of NSW and QLD too.

Well, that happens after Israel is born, right? They could have prevent the whole thing from the begining is my point! Now they have to resort to suicide bombing since this is the only way they can retaliate. The rest of the Arabs do not dare to attack Israel. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Attack their homeland you mean? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh?!? I dun get you <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I mean they were there first for millenia, it's their ancestral home, they shouldn't have to attack anyone to get the land.

Linkin Park sucks massive ammounts. Except for one song of theirs which I actually do like, I can't remember what It's called but the lyrics go "In the end it doesn't even matter". But even though I somewhat like that song it does nothing for me liking the band because they are an engineered boy-band, only playing someone else's metal songs instead of someone else's pop songs (they don't write their own songs at all, so get no credit for having a good one).

You can't call that revolutionary considering all the problems (extinguishing game rooms, can't just choose a server/game to play but have to be randomly assigned to one, etc...). That, at least to a PC gamer, is actually a massive step back.

Swithin: How could Arafat have prevented the violence? You're talking like he personally armed every insurgent and sent them out to fight, but he didn't. As an example of this, Osama bin Laden is a part of the Saudi family of bin Ladens, and yet America didn't invade Saudi Arabia after the attacks - because they knew the Saudi Royal Family didn't personally arm bin Laden and sent him out to fight. Or again, Timothy McVeigh was an American, but nobody blamed Clinton and decided that because of Timothy McVeigh they won't negotiate with him. On the other hand, if you can show me that Arafat was capable of preventing ANY of the attacks, and I'll reconsider the matter. And LSD that's a xenophobic generalisation and an oversimplication of the matter, that for one thing ignores all of the Israeli massacres of Palestinians.

Again, the only reason I said the "no hearts..." thing is that I was deliberately trying to post a message more offensive than yours. Same goes for the other thing. I don't see anything hypocritical about proving a point
