Hrm... Fairy Tail looks a lot like One Piece. Its kind of uncanny.. think i'll give it a try. Thanks man.
-
They got Mark Hamill eh? Is Kevin Conroy doing Batman's voice too? That'd be cool.

I read One Piece from start to current chapter in about 2 weeks last month and I have to admit, it has replaced Naruto as the better manga. They tie though in terms of favorites. Anyway, I was wondering if some of you could recommend any other shounen like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach or mini-series manga in the same fashion as Basilisk? Thanks.

If psp emulators worked 100% i'd be talking a lot more I bet. Too broke to afford one and get Dissidia. Or even DS for that matter.
-
There's nothing on-going to talk about. The focus would be emulation but the scene is deserted.

Short-lived but pretty good show. Joss Whedon has talent. If you've never heard of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog you should check that out too, by Josh Whedon.

Yeah completely redrawn. Andy Bogard making a return too. I forget if there are any new characters though...

I don't know what that forum is for but any place where juveniles are put in charge is pretty much a place where little to no real management is happening. -

Yeah i'd have to lean towards fake too for the clips but they're pretty interesting, as to what, if any, real video might present itself as if available for viewing. The attic and mabel ones in particular are elaborate at best and good for entertainment and intrigue. If you guys have any links (that I haven't seen on youtube, which is unlikely ) feel free! Here's another for your discretion: Jacket -
Unexplained things you have seen or heard of

My former boss claimed she knew ghosts existed because she had one living in her old apartment that she shared with a roommate in the hollywood area. She said she knew ghosts were real because she could see them plain as day sometimes in a room in the apartment or walking between rooms. I do find it fascinating and if there was some living to be made in cryptozoology or paranormal science i'd want to become one of those ghost hunting film people. Another story I know of is from my sister's boyfriend (Scott), although he wasn't the direct one to experience it firsthand. His older brother (Ron) is the one who was involved in the account. So the story goes, as a youth, Ron (now in his early to mid 30's) and his friends would find any excuse to go off on adventures inside abandoned houses or places purported to be inhabited by spirits. So here is Ron and his friend, bored on a Friday or a day on the weekend late at night and they decide to go inside an abandoned building of some sort (not sure if it was a house or some other type of building). They manage to get inside (it was locked up if I recall) and they're going around the place, into rooms and snooping around. As they're doing so apparently some other people show up outside the area and I can't recall if it was police pulling someone over or just some other group of people but he told me they hid from view inside the building so maybe it was the police. At this point I can't remember if they did anything peculiar or witnessed anything unusual but they may have. Anyway, they waited until whoever showed up left and when they did they decided to leave. So they get back in their car and go home. I'm not sure if he said this was the next day or some other day after but apparently Ron and his friend were out and returned home in the friend's car (I believe the same one they drove when they went to snoop around the building), parking it in the driveway of Ron's family's house. Now Scott, doing his own thing and walking or driving home walks into the house but as he does so, he notices someone in the backseat of Ron's friends car. So he goes inside and like any normal routine goes about his business but he asks Ron and his friend who the person is sitting in the backseat of the car. Ron and Scott's sister also claims to be curious about who the person is that was in the backseat with them as she had never seen the individual (apparently having seen them arrive) Surprised, both Ron and his friend claim that only the two of them were inside the car when they arrived. Startled... and after some deliberation it Ron believes that someone broke in to the car so they go outside prepared to confront the person. As it turns out when they goto the car, there's no one to be seen. At this point they're bewildered and confused but not long after the ordeal they realize there was no signs of physical entry into Ron's friend's car. Now they are both freaked out and Ron is angry with his friend for bringing a spirit back with them to his house. Scott and his family are Vietnamese so its safe to say they don't disregard spirits as non-existant and when they told their father about the situation their father busted out with the salt and traditional Vietnamese ritual for warding off evil spirits around their house. Ron still has a fascination with the paranormal, as I do, and when I visit their house he and I often share what new videos of ghost activity we can find on youtube. Here are a few: Ghost Brick I suppose you can be your own judge on the validity of these videos or not. I myself only look for videos with very believable circumstances and emotion/reaction from the people in them. None of these probably really even hold up for consensus as they are mostly amateur in nature and can't be used as proper evidence. Still... they're interesting none the less. -

When I was little my sister had a collection of dolls she insisted on leaving in this make-shift shelf my dad constructed for her and her dolls. Among them was a Teddy Ruxpin doll that had a compartment for a battery and a cassette tape deck in his stomach. The tape was so that the doll could speak out words from a book while blinking his eyes and his lower jaw would moving down and up. She had this doll for a while already and was bored of it but of course she didn't want to throw it away so she kept it in my room along with all her other dolls that I really didn't like. Anyway one night while I was trying to sleep, the doll started speaking out the recording on the cassette tape. I believe it started out like "Hi, my name is Teddy Ruxpin. Will you be my friend?" or something. Needless to say it scared the hell out of me and I was only about 6 or 7. I was so freaked I got up and immediately tried to demolish it as badly as I could, breaking its blinking eyes and permanently snapping off its lower jaw and I removed the tape also. After I was thoroughly satisfied breaking it I turned it around to face the wall and tried to go back to sleep. The next morning I looked at how I left the doll and it was turned around as I left it, the tape still where I left it next to him. I went in for a closer inspection to see if the damage I did remained and it did. What I found most odd however was when I checked the battery compartment it was empty. -
Bolt. I like the cat.

Gouda, cold mozzarella, sharp cheddar, brie. All these on a salad or cut for crackers with grapes and some red wine is proper.

Excited for Windows 7, but not for the wait before a service pack is released for major fixes and updates... like any new Microsoft OS. Still... it looks to be really exciting! Aero Shake!

Might I suggest this case? Personally, I hate cases with the swinging front bezel (made the mistake of getting one with my last case, Chieftec, thought it was cool at the time) but while this case does have a swinging front bezel (swings 270 degrees), it doesn't need to be opened for the optical drive bay. So you can lock it while still using the optical drive. Plus, adjustable front vent with dual 120mm fans, side air duct, screwless design installation, left and front side panel filters, screwless lockable left-side panel, built-in accessory box, front top I/O panel. Pretty cheap AND free shipping! Gotta love the free shipping. If I didn't want a case with a clear-side panel (got a Thermaltake M9, new rig built recently) I would've gone for this case I think.

The Secret Life of Bees. Dakota Fanning is growing up, but I think she's only cute when she doesn't move her face.

worlds favorite OS - wat could it be?
veristic replied to endoplasmic reticulum's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I'd have to say I like Windows Vista. Running Vista Ultimate x86-x64 right now. I've been a Windows user for most of my computer days but I did start out on an old Mac before OSX was developed, and had to get reacquainted with Mac and learn OSX when I started working two years ago. Yes, Vista requires resources to run most optimum, especially if you want to have Aero on. But what it boils down to for me is not only how you use a computer but what you want from it. Anyone can use a PC or a Mac to check email or listen to mp3's on Itunes so whatever, after that when it gets more personal it might boil down to looks and reliability, even superficially-speaking for trend indulging purposes like so many average users exhibit by jumping on the Macbook Pro bandwagon. Macs are great for your coffee-house junkie/businessman or woman working as they meet clients/college student who can't sit at a computer desk for more than 20 minutes. But me? I enjoy my gaming and addictive wares. Not only that, as a PC enthusiast I like buying my own hardware and setting up my own rig with my own third-party products (cases, power supply, memory, motherboard, fans, etc. etc.) vs Mac and its own hardware compliant OS. "But you can virtually run XP on a Mac now" wtf so what? Why do I need two OS'? In terms of the OS itself I like the windows taskbar. Its just easier for me having multiple windows or programs running and not having ALL of them open on my screen. Yes, you can minimize in OSX to that litte section in the lower right but its a pain in the ass to navigate constantly with all those dock shortcuts nearby. Expose yeah great, corner drag left and right, flipping windows oh no wait wrong corner wait maybe this corner ah there we go *click* oh wait I forgot to copy a line from that other window lets go back to that corner. Christ it's like digitally flipping through pages instead of with your hands. I think Windows (Vista) looks nicer too. Needless to say i'm not into Tiger or Leopard. Well... maybe the new dock with the fan and grid. That is pretty useful. All in all, macs are great for your grandparents and your teenage daughter leaving you for college. Its stable, reliable (have you ever heard of someone having a virus problem on their mac?), nice to look at. But a PC is where the freedom is. Whether its through Windows or Linux (any Ubuntu users here?). I really can't wait for Windows 7 and its new taskbar. -
JCVD - Good stuff, Van Damme fans will celebrate. The Day The Earth Stood Still - Ok, plot is too loose. Yes Man - Good comedy, I think I like Zooey Deschanel as a result of watching this. Oh and my company made that poster for Benjamin Button hah coincidence.

Oh wow I didn't even realize they sold for that much. Thanks man. Seems there's more deals with the 720 BE on newegg. Edit: Question, does this mobo, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128378 , only support ddr3 memory?

What do you mean by "new range of CPUs"?
-
So i've been browsing the benchmarks and forums for a while now because I want to build a new PC rig. It'll be an "upgrade" from this old single core Socket 478 Pentium 4 2.4 ghz machine i've been on for like... 6 years now, so any new cpu I get will be a real boost i'm sure. What I need help with is deciding which CPU to get because the CPU is going to be the most expensive part and I want to save as much $ as I can while getting something that'll give me the most performance benefit. What it boils down to - AMD is a lot cheaper than Intel right now. But I know that Intel pretty much owns the field in processors at the moment, even with the new Phenom II X4's out bringing AMD back on track for some real competition. Anyway, quad cores aside, i'm looking at the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 ghz with a mobo combo that'll come out to just over $300 on newegg, and I realize this processor can oc to 4.0 ghz which is something i'm interested in. It also uses up less wattage (65w I believe) and such and makes sense why its better than AMD dual cores. Now in comparison i've been also looking at AMD's Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0 ghz (125w) and the Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7 ghz Black Edition (95w) and I know even overclocked these processors still don't outdo the E8400 but with a mobo combo both of these come out to about $100 less than the E8400 + mobo combo. What I could use help on (if any of you have the knowledge) is whether the difference in performance between the Intel CPU and the AMD CPU's is large enough that the $100 increase in price for the Intel CPU is well, is it worth it? I know the 7750 Kuma Black Editiion has unlocked multipliers specifically meant for oc'ing and its supposedly oc's pretty easily but again, overclocked is the difference in performance vs the E8400 oc'ed a big difference or just marginal? The same with the 6000+ Windsor, is it a big difference or marginal? Any advice would help guys, i'd appreciate it.

Atonement. Keira Knightley is too skinny.
