UF Student tasered at John Kerry Speech
veristic replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
There are better ways to go about what that kid did. It was juvenile and lacking ethics. More of a stunt than actually trying to raise any serious awareness because any intelligent person knows you don't change minds that way. He did it more for himself than anything imo. -
He's like your Batman of Marvel. Rich playboy that likes to play with toys. Hella cool toys.

I thought the reporter IS Jessica Alba? But I do agree. SHe will spoil the movie. Even though I still like her naked body That's not Jessica Alba.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Chatter
veristic replied to Devia Eleven's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Bias. FF7 was overrated. It was good, but the same reasons its popularity carries on can't apply to later titles. Oh and those titles you handpicked are more or less RE-MASTERED versions of the game. Not a remake on the same level a FF7 remake would be. Not by a long shot. Advent Children was rather bad, Dirge of Cerberus a disappointment. Why do they carry on with this resurgence of FF7? Just cuz its popular, regardless of how bad they treat the property. -

Money. And because the original story of FFVII had so many holes and unexplained things in it. The fans basically begged Square to releases something that would fill these holes. And Square is doing exactly that, like it or not. So did 6, which I think is a much better game anyway. Why don't they remake that? Oh that's right... American's can't begin to handle an RPG unless its remotely 3 dimensional. -

Well then I don't have to worry since no woman will have an emotional advantage over me. Not by a long shot. How can you say that? Have you ever been in a relationship? I mean a real relationship. If not, than you have no idea how you are going to react in one. Trust me on this one man, the first one is always the toughest because you have no idea what you are doing and you end up getting all sprung over her. Seriously you have no idea how you are going to act, but I can guarantee a lot of denial will take place on your part because you will become greatly emotionally attached to her. To all of you lonely guys that feel the need for a romantic or sexual relationship, whats holding you back from obtaining this? Being the child of first-generation, Asian parents while growing up in Los Angeles, California where diversity is a standard and cultural assimilation is beneficial and having difficulty being attracted to the opposite gender of the same ethnic background because of social stereotypes and isolationist cliques. Asians are notorious for being closed-off within their own racial groups, especially my kind of Asian. Which isn't to say that I don't try... I do. But it just isn't easy to find the right girl. Though this was just a brief summary of the issues I have to deal with regarding family, parents and women. And yes I have been in a real relationship. My first, so I know what you're referring to but I knew I wouldn't get sprung and whipped and I knew how I was going to act because of everything I just mentioned. I knew the issues I had to deal with before even facing them so I had a lot of time to think and prepare myself. I was committed and in love but breaking up didn't turn me into an emotional wreck. I was aware of why it would happen and for as long as I could remember myself as my own person, I believed that one has the mind to control their emotions. I check my emotions well, especially regarding things like getting obsessed with a girl.

Here's a better argument. You don't mind being alone but would your rather be alone then not? Would you rather have people around you or would you prefer being home alone for days on end? I myself have been home alone for almost a month and i'm used to it but even I want to get out and be around someone which I THINK is better than wanting to be alone.
-
I think sometimes people mistake getting used to being alone as liking it.

*laughs* Star Jones sounds like a dying horse the way she talks after all that plastic surgery.

I played the demo at my work on xbox 360 and its great. The transition from dialog to swinging a monkey wrench at those deformed nutjobs is smooth. But I definitely wouldn't play it on console cuz the controls are just utter junk. Having been an avid fps online gamer with fast-paced games like quake, playing with a controller is just awkward and limited and gets me my ass-kicked.

Cartoon adult characters now kid characters?
veristic replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah but that's not Justice League. The Teen Titans exist with the Justice League in their timeline as a branch for teenage superheroes. The Legion Of Superheroes is literally an incarnation of galactic superheroes from everywhere that modeled their affiliation and goals after the original Justice League of the 21st century. The Legion also consists of superheroes with former connections to the original Justice League. -
Pretty much what he said. I think its just another way for blizzard to put more "food on our plate" and keep us at the "dinner table". Don't get me wrong though, hero classes would be great.

Are you sure it was Justice League? There is a popular cartoon series going into its second season that is based on popular characters from the DC Universe known as the Legion Of Superheroes which are primarly teenagers, including a teenage Superman from the past (because the show takes place in the future). -
Ranger.

Well if one of the races are the Tuskarr, which side will they join and which race will join the opposing faction?

The alcoholism doesn't develop until later in Stark's life, and seeing as how this is a movie about the origins of Iron Man, it probably won't be touched on until the end of the movie as a sort of foreshadowing to a sequal.
-
Looks kind of lame imo. Did Devil Kings even do well as a game?
-
Robert Downy Jr. is a good actor, I have faith in the movie. And Jon Favreau i'm pretty sure isn't as incompetent as Uwe Boll or Paul W. S. Anderson so... he should do a decent job at worst.

Books and movies are meant to be different experiences, you can't really compare the two properly unless they make a movie based on a book that's 5+ hours in length. That's not what I wanted to see. Like someone said earlier, visually excessive and audacious and I know where he comes from even though I think the filming was still better in terms of scope.
