  1. Haven't used XXX-pro for awhile now, as I mainly use Final Burn Legends ( :lol:) , so can't say.

    Whats wrong with using FBL for that game..?

    nothing i just dont have fba legends yet on my box. i already have so many arcade emus it feels cluttered up. Is fba that much more accurate or play more games others don't besides galaxy force, rail chase and the others? :)

  2. it just removed from discussion ive looked at it and I understand how to put it in, just need to code it..... if you want to discuss it do it via PM.... nothing more will be said about this...same as lightgun

    um ok. id stop asking people what they want if you are just gonna stomp on it and stomp it out because one person pissed you off. either way man any work that anyone does on emus for xbox is pretty much appreciated. :)

  3. is there an xbox emu either coinops or mame that runs donkey kong jr with the music and sound? all get is the sound when you hit a fruit. Looks like it was fixed in a later version of mame but i dont know if this was implemented into coinops.

    HF-

    You could always play this game in a NES emu if it doesnt work in MAME/CoinOPS ...

    I think it looks pretty much like the arcade version on the NES, the arcade version is a little brighter and the music is a bit different on the NES version too (same melody but sounds different)

    yea i know dude, thanks for the info, i prefer the arcade version though. :P

  4. Hi, I had a question for anyone who knows anything about how exactly Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 were ripped from the Midway Arcade collection. In the root of the folder there is no XBE for MK2 or MK3.... My question is how was this achieved? was it through Hex editing that someone edited an XBE to launch MK2.sr and MK3.sr???

    I am asking because I want to know if it is possible to apply the same technique to rip the classic Doom games off of the Doom 3 xbox disk so that they could be launched independently of Doom 3.

    let me know if anyone knows anything about this! :-)

    why dont you just get the doom port for xbox? :thumbsup1:

  5. hey cospefogo its not the game info screens what i mean is the gameplay screens, castlevania is cut off at the top, the pixels are great, just some of the info is cut off on games like castlevania when you are playing it. :clapping:

    I noticed that too with the 512x448 values in a few games, the gameplay screen seems a little too high. I just tried some little different values member althena posted on Xbox-Scene, they fixed it for me:

    I changed the values for the real NES experience a little, maybe others can have a try and see if they are better for them too. The resolution is untouched but the picture is moved down a little as it was obviously a little too high on my tv, as I said play Castlevania 1 for example and look at the score.

    zLeft=2.079998

    zRight=-1.699999

    zTop=0.240001

    zBottom=-0.909999

    SoftwareFilter=13

    HardwareFilter=0

    vsyncEnabled=1

    pixelRatio=0

    FlickerFilter=0

    Soften=1

    disableMenuSounds=0

    Region=0

    UnlimitedSprites=0

    EmulationMusicVolume=0

    ResetType=1

    RewindSound=1

    ColorMode=0

    PaletteSelected=-1

    NTSCResolution=0

    NTSCSharpness=0

    NTSCColorBleed=0

    NTSCArtifacts=0

    NTSCFringing=0

    the resolution gets messed up with those values look at the pixels on the bricks near the warp pipes on world 1-2

    You mean the warp zone in Super Mario Bros. 1? I didn't see any differences or any problems when using the values except that the position is a little lower, can you describe the problems a little more?

    The values for the resolution (zLeft, zRight) are the same, just the ones for the position are changed, so the resolution shouldn't get messed up.

    theres got to be a way to get the whole screen to fit and see everything and still have correct resolution.

  7. hey cospefogo is there any way to get the correct pixels without the top and sides being cut off? if you want to know what i mean take a look at the sides of castlevania where it shows the game info. let me know dude! ur a friggin wiz at this stuff.

    Hey man...

    I don't know about game info screens.

    I really don't use anything more than - ROM LIST + IN-GAME SCREENSHOTS = nice playing moments

    But I will check...

    Cheers,

    Cospefogo.

  9. COSPEFOGO WHERE ARE YOU BROTHER MAN!

    and also this is legendary shite from the man himself. none better my friend!

    Hey Brother (you know I love you), I am here!

    Here are the numbers I was able to find for both 512x448 and 640x448

    (using 10x11 pixel aspect ratio under 480i/480p).

    Also, together are the PIXEL SHARP settings already...

    For the 10x11 pixel aspect ratio users under 480i/480p!

    (640x480... full screen horizontally, but tiny tiny tiny distortion...

    accepted sometimes!)

    zLeft=-0.740000

    zRight=0.800000

    zTop=1.200000

    zBottom=0.050000

    SoftwareFilter=13

    HardwareFilter=0

    vsyncEnabled=1

    pixelRatio=1

    FlickerFilter=0

    Soften=1

    For the real thing (512x448, pure NES, but as you may know,

    with some black borders on left and right. [They really don't bother me!])

    zLeft=2.079998

    zRight=-1.699999

    zTop=1.200000

    zBottom=0.050000

    SoftwareFilter=13

    HardwareFilter=0

    vsyncEnabled=1

    pixelRatio=0

    FlickerFilter=0

    Soften=1

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    I did it in a hurry!

    Regards,

    Cospefogo.

    cospefogo you are the best dude! im sending you another wife! LMAO thats if you are married, ;)

    seriously though thats sweet im gonna try that now man! thank you so much bro!

  10. Hey Nes,

    Tried out Nestopia and its awesome! Thanks again.

    I was wondering if there was a way to input a precise pixel height and width? I want to use 512 x 448 because I run my Xbox through a scan converter to force 240p. If anything is off slightly, it creates a weird distortion.

    I don't mind editing INIs if that's the only way to do it. Just want to be pointed in the right direction. ;)

    Again, great emu, fantastic job!

    All the best,

    Phil

    i sent nes the same question and he let me know that it was zleft, zright, zup and zdown i think, we need cospefogo to take a look this as right now the only way is to edit the .ini file which is fine..
