nice. I have a 20 inch widescreen monitor just sitting around due to no desktop at the moment. around feb. I plan on getting a 37 to 42 inch LCD TV to replace my old 32'' CRT.

GP2X has the "cooler then you" factor. since its not to common. but if I wanted back into the handheld market I'd go with a PSP again.

they've all got strengths and weaknesses. as far as pure versatility goes my vote is for the OG xbox. A fully tweaked out xbox can take the place of everything up to the n64. it can be the heart of a arcade cabinet and be a decent linux box to boot. to think you can grab one used for under 100 bucks is a steal IMO.

well everybody deserves more money for what they do.. I just have an aversion to Unions Guilds ect. I've been in a union or 2 and when the union says weather or not you are gonna work. I call bullshit. I know there are plenty of writers who would be happy to be working right now but they can't cuz the faceless union (who don't make thier money writing, but collecting dues from writers) says they can't.

yeah yesterday was the first day I had played xbox for about a week so I missed the worst of it it seems.

yesterday morning I was on live and it was going all slow (the dashboard stuff not in game) like taking a really long time to load menus and the ads and stuff. Just wondering if it is my connection, my box or if anyone else was having troubles yesterday.

yeah hit up gamefaqs and see if they have a save for that.

unless there was some massive shift towards then away from quality posts while I was gone this is basically the way it's been for a really long time. People always have fond memories of the past. but its rarely the way it is portrayed in memory. things were just as boring, slow and inane back in 04 as they are now.

I'd have to say not pursuing more education before I had family responsibilities is a big regret. I know I could go back to school now but it would be much harder and take me away from my family more then I am willing to put them through now.
