Didn't MS go back to the 1.4 mobo? I thought I read that somewhere. if so a brand new xbox would prolly have teh 1.4 then no worries.

downloadable content is available for wipeout pure now. you can get it in game if you have access to a wi-fi hotspot or you can go to www.wipeoutpure.com and get it from there. it consists of 1 new track, 1 new ship and 1 new skin, the pack is around 3.5 mb. before you get it from the web you will need a usb cable and have your psp connected to your pc. from there it will download right to your psp after you register. :\ but registration is just putting in your e-mail and typing a password.

I think the first gen mods came out for xbox and ps2 within 6 months of launch. teamxecuter has hinted they will have a 360 before launch, I dunno maybe they have some connections, maybe just bullshit. we'll see

can't say untill they are both out and the chips are available. one thing that is turning me off the 360 right now is the Live crap, It is going to be so tightly intigrated. I dont have and am not getting broadband anytime soon, I don't want a crippled system just because I live in a rural area.

I think $299 is the ceiling for a successful console launch. 3DO: 500 bucks = failed Neo Geo: 500 bucks = never got mainstream Saturn: 400 bucks = failed everyone knows $199 is the sweetspot. as for pc's costing more, true but most people don't think of a pc as a game machine, even if all they do is play solitaire and check e-mail with it they still think that thier $1000 purchase is valid. because of what they "could" do with it. a $500 dollar console is a totally different beast to the average consumer.

sony better ask 3do and snk how well 500 dollar systems sell in the u.s.

been playing PC- guild wars (must level) PSP- hotshots golf Open Tee (last night I hit a 127 yard chip-in eagle, wish I could post the replay) Xbox- Midnight Club 3 (my 57 chevy is teh pimp)

the new gba is just a death nell for the ds. it proves nintendo doesn't care about the ds. but the new gba does look sexy but way too small for my big gorilla hands. the sp and original gba both gave me major hand cramps. the ds and psp are wide enough to keep my hands happy for long periods. the revolution looks like ass. I hope the controller is something special. cuz the console looks like a shiny laptop battery. the ps3 looks like a futuristic turboduo or 3do. the xbox360 looks like something apple would make. they are both pleasing to the eye.
