I just seen on the neo-geo.com forums how AES kazuna encounter(E) sold to a private collector for..... drumroll........ $12,500 US yes I double checked the amount of zeros in that number. the average person has no chance in the neo geo hardware/software scene

yeah I think mvs would be cheaper in the long run. but no matter what its a fist full of ben franklins to get started. you'd figure a 16 year old console / arcade board would go down in price. collecters drive this stuff through the roof. look at this crazyness

sorry this reply is so late in the thread but I just read this thread for the first time. The Dickies did the theme song for Killer Klowns from outer space. I think they did the rest of the soundtrack too. I love the electric guitar circus tune! as for my favorite horror movies: texas chainsaw massacre (the original I haven't seen the remake yet) from dusk till dawn (maybe not horror but plenty of gore.... and it kicks a$$) night of the demons (or maybe just "demons" I can never remember, anyways it's italian from the 80's takes place in a movie theater) and an endlist list of b-movies ranging from the 40's till today

has anyone used either of these services? if so wich is better / do you like. I've been considering trying one out but don't wanna choose the wrong one. I used netflix in the past for movies and liked it.

neo geo is a vary expensive hobby, either supergun + mvs board or aes +converter is gonna run mondo money. I just did a quick look at ebay and aes systems are going for between 150 and 300 bucks. the Phantom-1 is going for 280 at the site mentioned above. either way you are looking at about 500 bones sans game carts. thats why I got me an xbox and hella roms. heheheh as much as I'd like the real deal it's just way out of the average mans price range.

if you want one you should build it. save yourself about a 100 bucks. all it is basicly is a power supplyand a jamma harness. plus some odds and ends. and you gotta remember the supergun isn't all you need, you also need jamma or mvs boards. one slot mvs boards are going for about 100 bucks on ebay and carts vary from 10 to 300 bucks. don't know about jamma boards tho. so if you were to buy a supergun and an mvs board expect to pay 400 to 500 plus mvs carts.

I'm not sure but the impression I get is that they manufacture & repair capcoms coin-op machines. hopefully they have nothing to do with development cuz if all capcoms arcade type games went away that would really suck.

if I could afford x-arcade sticks I'd get 'em gamecop but they are just to pricey for most people.

you'll have to find out about how it performs with 3d games from someone else, I hardly ever play em. and don't own any for my XBox. heheh I got HELLA 2d fighters on my xbox tho.

well I went ahead and picked 2 up just now. I've been thinking of getting the pelican stick from my local gamestop but they are $50 for one. I just got 2 for under $65 shipped. with the amount of fighting games I play these should rock. I'll post my impressions when I get em if anyone is interested.

I've gotten things from www.levelsix.com before. they are in the states so you don't have to worry about crazy shipping prices from HK. I know they have ddr mats. not sure if any DC ones. but they sell ps2 pad converters pad converters and gizmos like that.

those cd systems are always going for cheap, the loading time sux and there are only a handful of games that got converted. what I would get exited over is a real AES cart system with a supergun.

well lets see, thats cuz max payne is an indirect ripoff of the punisher comic books. as for hellboy, I read the comic a few times but it didn't catch me so I am not vary exited about the flick. now if we could have a good sequal to The Crow. I'd see that. the orignal Crow was and is the best comic book to film adaptation ever.

Oh yeah! Shadowrun for SNES! That was awesome. Thanks for reminding me K'Dash. yeah shadowrun was my favorite game for the snes for a long time. I recently booted up the rom and I think it stands the test of time. I read a few months back in official xbox magazine that a sequel is coming. cant wait for that! and klaw I recently got the xbox morrowind GOTY edition. it comes with both expansions. I haven't really started any of those quests yet trting to get my dude to a decent leval first. but from what I've seen it looks like good stuff. Shadowrun sequel? I hope this is true. But for Morrowind, I should have done all the side quests before actually beating th game. After beating the main plot, I just roamed around and killed things. My plan now is to kill everyone that I find. I'll probably use God Mode just for the hell of it. yeah on my pc version I beat the main quest before alot of the other stuff. that's why this time on my xbx version I am taking my time. I've been playing for about 20 hours and haven't even joined the blades yet

I would suggest kawa-x unless you want to play the latest KOF. fbax doesn't allow you to set different button configs for NeoGeo and CPS2 games. I run everything from kawa-x and kawa-hex exept KOF 2k3, SvC: Chaos and super gem fighter mini mix.

Well its rumored that Xbox games etc will not be compatiable with Xbox2.....If that is the case then MS are gonna lose then next gen console wars by a very large margin... Nope. PS3 is going to have compatibility issues as well. The processors are going to change, thus the games prior are going to be impossible to play. Both Sony and MS are in a pickle over this. If one is able to pull it off, it is the other's demise. Anon. Sony has hired the best emulation authors to make ps3 be able emulate ps1 and ps2... You mean they've hired Frost's friend?! Awesome! Where did you hear this news? Sony was advertising all over the net and in the newspaper for experienced emulation personnel.... Also Sony will make the PS3 backwards compatible with the PS2 and PS1 because thats what gave the PS2 its edge.... I bet its a sting operation. They lure all the best emulators and then arrest them. It'll keep them away from emulating all the other consoles. Or Sony could steal specs from the new XBOX and have them work on that emulator so it would devalue the console when it comes out. Emulators are not illegal (well Nintendo Handheld emulators are)...only the Roms are..... just loading the rom on an emulator is illegal Having the rom image and not owning the original cartridge/CD/DVD is illegal. You have a privilege of keeping backups of your software. isn't it legal if you only use it for private use w/out distribution? It's legal as long as you own the original medium. I have heard that the PS3 will use the Blue Ray Disc technology (1 disc holds 50gb)...lets hope this is true... Let's make this most highly quoted post ever. Blue Ray technology would just kick so much ass. But how can game developers make games that take up 50 gigs...that's just amazing. Just think how much unlockables/other extras 50Gb could hold... Just imagine the pure game content. RPGs would never end. Imagine 50 gigs of Final Fantasy...that's like years of gameplay. Blue-Ray uses a different laser, a blue ray. And thats why there is so much controversy because different companies are working on different technologies so the consumers are going to be flocked. Sony has its Blue-Ray, Toshiba(or Philips) has some other one. They better buckle down and come up with one future technology. FreshyK is correct...Blue Ray will most likely not be compatible with DVD technology.... But DVD's will still be widely used as they will take over CDR's and Blue Ray will take over DVD I go by GryphonKlaw here. But yeah, Blue-Ray will be just like how DVDs aren't playable in CD drives. But what about that other technology? Does anyone know anything about that? Maybe they discontinued it, I don't know. the quotes are getting out of control!!! so we are screwed as far as media goes.
