generally I like to window shop. but there is something about gamestop (and EB, babbages, ect when they were around) that makes me extremely uncomfortable. Like I said it's the same thing with guitar stores. I've needed a pack of strings for months but refuse to go down the street to the music store. alternately my wife HATES window shopping. she figures if she can't buy it why torture herself with looking at it. I think a big part of it is that gamestop is like geek mecca. I don't consider my self a casual gamer or a hardcore gamer. I don't buy into the rest of gamer culture. anime and manga and OVAs and all that shit. I don't like what everyone else in there likes. I don't look like them. I feel like an old black dude at a punk rock concert. hahah, or a white guy at a soul food resturant in the ghetto. just out of place.

I've gained a bit of weight over the last few years so I'd rather not say...

am I the only person who really hates going into gamestop? not because of all the internet cool kid reasons either. I just feel really uncomfortable and out of place in there. I feel the same about guitar stores. My two main hobbies and I can't stand going into businesses related to them....

WHat is your job, Inky? I'm a field training manager for the largest (by total man hours) security company in So-Cal. My main duties are to make sure every security guard in my devision is trained properly. But since I am the graveyard guy I have to handle any thing that comes up after hours, from covering sick calls to starting workmans comp paperwork.

I've been on nights so long (5 years straight but prolly 13 years out of the last 19) I don't think I could do days. I did let it be known I would take a day shift since I think I have earned it. but they keep me on nights cuz they know I don't complain and I don't fall asleep.

in reality I don't think anyone gives a damn about publishers and developers. no one is gonna come in and ask for "that game that was developed by flying squirrel nuts and published by ninja boob puncher" staying up on news should be as easy as reading a few blogs every day. Joystik, Kotaku, ect. if you know that stuff you'll be light years ahead of the average customer and employee. I'm sure they have some kind of memo or news letter on release dates since they expect you to push preorders down the throats of everyone who comes in.

the guy who knows to much about shit is always the most annoying one to deal with. don't be that guy Will. specialize in what you love. release dates are simple to look up in the system so no need to jam your brain with a years worth of dates.

I rolled my own for a short while. I smoked less that's for sure. I found them harsh and rolling em was a pain. and people always looked at me weird like I was smoking a joint.

Indian smokes mostly. 35 bucks a carton. when I got money or don't feel like driving to the indian cigarette shop I smoke marlboro Lights. I can't stand that flavored stuff. my mom's been a month off cigs using chantix. after smoking a pack or more a day for nearly 50 years. once my insurance kicks in next year I am gonna give it a go.

that's the big draw. all my managers have blackberries. and stay synced to the network. receive their emails and all logs we generate. they couldn't work with out them. We have one blackberry with a special program on it that's only available on it. we need that program. I'm sure android and ios could have those programs but the demand is not there. so they will not be developed. blackberry is already rooted in the corporate culture. Just like Palm is big in the medical field, palm has alot of medical apps that aren't on iphone or android.

the promotion I got means way more work and more stress. not to mention multiple 3 hour meetings and training. I hardly have time to do anything but sleep, work, and get kids and wife to where they need to be. I really need a second car soon. just had another 3 hour meeting this morning and worked last night. with no sign of sleep anytime soon. I'll be up around 24 hours awake by the time I get to sleep tonight. But I am off for a few nights so I can decompress and get some games and guitar playing in hopefully.

that song gets me so pumped. hahah

blackberry is really a business phone. it's not really designed for the average joe.

the worst is the camera hiding enemies. I was fighting a Warg and couldn't even see it more then half the time. If the camera is hiding a Warg that's as big as a Chevy Astrovan then there is a problem.

I just preordered 2! we going on a river rafting adventure RIGHT IN MY LIVING ROOM!!!! hahah seriously, the Kinect needs 6 to 8 feet between the cameras and you.... I have about 3.5 to 4 feet between my big ass heavy ottoman and the TV. so I don't think I'll be getting in one the virtual river rafting anytime soon.

I just started Disc 2. I had to bump it down to easy cuz the werewolf boss was giving me blood vessel popping rage.

the fixed camera annoys me but I can see how it's needed for the level design. but i like it overall. although it does have some crappy button mash and QTE. meh.

i give 40kb on my 1mb up. the thing about publics is everybody is stingy and limits upload to 10 or 20kb. I've read more then one guide telling the idiots to do that. on a private where banning is a threat everybody keeps seeding and lets more of their upload go. it's not uncommon for me to get over 1.3mb down on a private. downloading 7gb in around 3 to 4 hours.

yeah keep a good upload ratio on bitsoup. Did you get in? they get everything so it should be your number 1 tracker. Peerguardian blocks certain IP addresses. you just install it and it works with utorrent. but it really isn't necessary with a private tracker. but it's extra protection, so it can't hurt. Make sure you set utorrent options the way Bitsoup wants you to. you have to disable DHT or something like that.

well you should be connected to a hell of a lot more seeds. that's the problem with publics. no one seeds. or they throttle the upload to almost nothing. try to sign up at bitsoup.org or demonoid I think they are open right now.
