loading from the HDD smooths out fable 2 as well. no more 2 second pauses when pressing start to go to inventory. to bad I am finished with that one. I seen some one on Xbox-scene reporting on older games like Prey and such, load times are almost 1/2 with those older titles, prolly due to newer titles have the disc loading optimized pretty well.

I went ahead and did it. it looks nice and seems to be faster. I installed Fallout3 on the HDD. it seems to load alittle faster but nothing staggering. still haven't got transcode360 working.....

Man, disappoint to hear this as I am hoping to see improvements on game's performance like MC:LA. I've heard reports both ways. infact a read a report that MC:LA was vastly improved. but other games are only small improvements. I've also read that transcode360 takes care of the codec issues. but tversity (what I use) does not. I haven't played a game on live since august, so I think I can handle 17 days without. I will prolly install it this morning.

finally got some discs so I played Spidy web of shadows and Gears 2 Spiderman WoS is pretty good, it feels more like the first free roam spidy to me. the graphics are good, I like the art style. I find myself relying on the black suit in battle mostly. Gears is more of the same. Flank and cover bullsh!t. it looks awesome though.

I don't really care about live, so I could live without it for 18 days but I do stream movies from my PC all the time and I hear this update breaks that. so I am still hesitant. avatars don't work due to you have to be connected to live to create them. Obviously the netflix service won't work either.

mirrors edge and tomb raider: underworld demos. mirrors edge is as cool as it looks but the control scheme is going to take some getting used to. the combat is strange. tomb raider feels alot more like the original then the past ones. thats a good thing IMO. it does the whole wall climbing thing better then Assassin's creed did. both look great.

they already edited the fatality for Joker that we all seen before to get a T rating... it all goes down hill now.

me too, I guess I could play it with my rockband 1 drums and guitar hero 2 guitar.... but I am pretty tired of music games in general. but the GHWT drums look so nice. anyways back on topic. I finished Fable 2s main quest today. I finished Evil and my wife finished good, so I don't think I'll be playing anymore. I need to get back into Fallout 3 and dead space now. I still have GOW2 and Web of shadows waiting to be burned...

How's the drum compared to RB? I only got the guitar kit. I wanted a new wireless guitar. It didn't last 2 minutes cuz the red fret no longer registers (probably cuz I bought it online and was packaged to me). But thankfully my old GH2 360 guitar still works. I'm abit pissed cuz I wanted to play with that new slider thingy on the neck below the fret some more. I only got to play with it in the tutorial. I had a problem with the HUD (too small like it's set for a full band track but only give me that one portion) but that was because I was playing it on a small TV. Half the time I didn't realize I was able to pull off Star Power. I'm gonna try it out later on today on a big screen. I enjoyed the create a rocker options over Rock Band's (you have way more options to make your rocker more unique). Also all and I do mean ALL GH characters are back (plus I think about 2 new ones). I haven't had a chance to play the Tool songs yet. There are some sets you have to buy to play and the Tool set costs $8,000. But I did get to play Dinosaur Jr.'s and At The Drive-In's songs and was quite happy. It wasn't because you bought it online. A lot of complaints are going in Activisions direction for shity equipment. it seems pretty much par for the course that if you buy a music game around launch time something is gonna be wrong with your instruments. It really sucks to pay big money for a bundle only to have a broken controller....

as Emsley said, Crysis sucks anyways. all its good for is pushing your rig to the limit. the only PC game I've been playing lately is World Of Goo.

That's damn tragic, I can't image how long it would have taken. I'm familiar with burning PS2 and Wii games, but Xbox 360 games are different, we are talking a wait time of 2x the amount of any old regular PS2 DVD burn. How long do those take regularly? if I burn at 2.5x it takes upwards of 45 minutes to an hour. I have had luck burning at higher speeds though, up to 8x. but 8x dvd-r DL are a fair bit more expensive then 2.5x.

I was burning Spidy web of shadows and the damn power went out. wasting my very last dvd...... it will prolly be a week before I get more. needless to say I was pissed.
