Hey Resx hows it goin? hope you're enjoying having a bit of a breather after all that hard work. I got the SNES set so far and it looks really cool, can;t wait for the Madmab emus to really take advantage of this stuff! There's always gonna be teething problems with a collection of this size hoe you don't let it get you down, I for one am vey grateful and for every one of me there are many more who are behind the scenes silently appreciating this. just type xboxhd lowercase no symbols no speech marks no nothin, just:xboxhd it does work i've done it myself many time using the same links I gave you... EDIT: OH YEH! JUST REMEMBERED you need to use the disc in an internal dvd drive to work! if you try to use it via a usb dvd drive it simply won't work. The program will load off the usb dvd drive + disc but once its running it will not recognise that the disc is in the drive if connected via USB. This absolutely must be done via an internal drive or sorry it won't work...

hi, you need to follow this tutorial in order to recover your hard drive: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-161.html I have used this method with bricked hdds many times it works every time, some of the formatting for the "s are messed up on this page, you need to type "xboxhd" without the commas to run the tool properly (this is in the tutorial it will make sense once you read through it...) here is a link for a replacement ms dashboard if you need it (see the tutorial for more info) http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5051157/Or...isLiKeCrAZy1%29 You will need to do a "hotswap" to make this work, if you've never done this before read through this: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=496263 pay special attention to "the art of hotswapping" to get the basics. I would power the xbox hdd from the pc power supply (not the xbox one) right from the outset to provide a common ground, oh and be careful not to touch the PSU inside the xbox even when unplugged to avoid a nasty shock. I always replace the plastic tray once I unscrew the hdd just to avoid accidents (I learnt that the hard way.) also wear rubber shoes. Better safe than sorry eh Also don;t do this if you are drunk or stoned or both, it will take twice as long and possibly not work Ps you will also need a torx screwdriver set if you don't already have one. I have been having issues with the latest t3ch "stable build" it seems to freeze at random points in xbmc, usually in the menus or the filemanager. I upgraded to the lates t3ch build and the issue went away! Probably some error while compiling the source but just a guess

Anyone know how to make a games disc for winstonx with atarist roms on it? you get the option to open roms from: "R:\ (UDF DVD-ROM)" and "S:\ (ISO9660 DVD-ROM)" So far I have burned the roms to disc using UDF and ISO9660 and neither disc would read, I even tried burning using QWIX to make an xbox iso but still no joy. I have all the roms in the root of the dvd and they don't show up! any ideas good ppl?

sorry if you already know this: FATX, the filesystem used by Xbox, limits file or directory length to 42 characters besides of that the following characters are illegal: '=?:;"*+,/|' I use windows explorer's built in FTP. Just open file explorer: Type in ftp:// first.....then type in the username and password in this format username:password For most people the username and password would both be xbox. Then the address should say ftp://xbox:xbox After you do that, you must type in the ip address of your xbox in the format of @xxx.xxx.x.x The final address would be ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.2/ (with the appropriate settings) Nice quick way works with vista and windows 7 not sure about xp. Apologies if you already know all this but hey it might help someone elso out too

yes, i second that i hope Nes has time to add the option. i never like how it interrupted the background music. I Third that I notice same problem in Final burn legends when i add videos. i hope nes figures out the coding to have an option to turn off vid sounds while background sound plays. +1 I agree on both emus this would be a great feature here's hoping

+1 this would be great addition for FBL!! Just discovered SPACEGUN is supported I used to love this game but it won't be the same without a gun. Do you mean the FBL.dat says its supports SpaceGun ? When i rebuilt a rom set for FBL i noticed a few LightGun roms in there. I asked the man himself (NES6502) if FBL supported LightGuns before i went any further and started getting excited but alas the answer was no. So im guessing a few LightGun entries slipped through the net when the .dat was being built. Unless you know something you could share with us ? I went through all the parent roms in FBL to see which pics im missing and spacegun was in my list! (with pic and video so bonus ) Just loaded and tested it in FBL 1.3. I don't have a gun but the controller moves a crosshair. (player 2 crosshair just sits in the middle of the screen but can be moved off the screen. Man this game is sick! This is the game I thought was called Aliens in my other thread. You can shoot out windows and blow up a reactor in the ship! Its class for its time I bet this has support for a "controller lightgun" but not a real one. Still a great game tho.

well, I added the folder to my skins folder then renamed it to remove the spaces and the "&" in case this was bad for the xbox (maybe this crashed it) anyway the skin showed up ok in the gui but when selected the screen goes black for a few seconds then the xbox just crashed and reset. This was for the fire and steel dual pane. No biggie tho really like the arcade cabinet one so thats cool easy fix. Youve renamed the folder right ! Open the folder and rename the ini exactly the same. Open the ini itself with notepad or similar and go down to line 126 (i think) and rename there too. Save and put back on xbox and voila ! PS. the existing name wasn't bad for the xbox. The xbox needs names no more than 42 chars, this includes .ext, so 38 chars or spaces. D'oh, I had a feeling it was because of that (i.e. my fault lol) well cheers for the info Think I will just change the folder name back then...

I have a little request if possible please for the next release. When pressing start then left and right to view flyers and titles etc a lot of the mame titles are so stretched to be fullscreen that they look pixelated and very ugly... They are hard to get as well It would be great to have an option for displaying the images in their native resolution then the user could use the zoom functions to zoom in further if desired. I've tried zooming out but they still look very pixelated. I am using 10x11 pixel ratio. Is it because I am not using HD? The images look so much better on my pc but I suppose my monitor is using a higher resolution? I would be interested to know what your thoughts are on why it is happening (I have an inquisitive mind is all...) This emulator is the best now i've got the history and the pics and that great fire and steel skin! Im gonna sort out all the optional extras and make it as slick as possible. One day this will be in a cab ... one day **dreams cheers

cheers, the thing is im missing every video except the ones I nicked from coinops showcase they are the things I need most! maybe I could handle pics etc and you handle the vids and if I get any i'll send them your way, you send any pics links you come across etc my way. then i'll upload my stuff once its sorted and you upload yours once sorted? Then resx gets it and makes it even better and then adds to his extras if he wants to? hows that.... should be nice for the scene

I have only tested some of the links but they were still working. If anyone has any mame videos could they post a link here? Also other ppls links to this sort of stuff are very welcome here. I plan to collect as much as this stuff as possible then provide an upload for each section when I am happy with the packs. At the moment I have more stuff than listed here (not much) but hopefully if everyone chips in i'll collect it all together and upload it so it is all in one place for everyone and ready to put straight into FBL. Hey guys, Dunno about you but been looking for stuff to add to my FBL 1.3 folder such as artwork flyers snaps etc. Below is a page I found by a guy called sacabonos, what a guy!!! he's posted loads of links to cool stuff for mame, see below... my thanks to this guy :) Using the screenshot.bat is a great way to sort these packs out once you have downloaded them!
