So, I'm having a problem with a friend
Hera replied to Explosive Misanthropy's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Look, I didn't want this to keep going in this direction. My immediate response to your abrasive attitude was defensive. I did not say that she was running away nor you for that matter. All I said in general for EVERYONE in any situation is that running away doesn't solve anything and to grow up and face them. It was not meant as a personal attack towards you or her but I'm not going to apologize for saying that. I don't appreciate your belligerent attitude about it. I did not attack anyone at all (except when I called you immature because ....well, frankly you are being that). I made a simple statement. I'm not saying anything against your willingness to help your friend and I'm not trying to be a know it all. It didn't need to be blown out of proportion. I do think you were immature about the whole thing but perhaps it was my fault for not being clear enough. So in other words, I'm sorry about the way you took it but I'm not sorry about my advice. Call me whatever you want. It really doesn't matter. Seriously. -

Now that's said and done, I hope you feel better. Doesn't change my opinion one bit. An excuse is an excuse. And what you've just adamantly described are nothing but excuses. ta ta -
I wonder how long it would have taken if you had drew his ugly hair style hahah

Enough said on that subject. As far as you not knowing if I was being a "cunt", I assure you that you would know it if I was. However, I don't find it necessary to be one in a forum. If you write something on a public forum, expect answers from different people. I'm sorry it was something you didn't want to hear. I can read sweetheart. You had mentioned taking your friend to Alabama so she wouldn't have to be an adult and take care of herself. I am glad that you care enough to seek some advice and I'm really glad she knows what to do. But your attitude is not necessary. I gave some relatively common advice for anyone. I was trying to convey that the worry should be over the child and thinking about yourself and running away from problems doesn't solve anything. It's good to learn that lesson young. But obviously you're a bit immature to think about it logically. If you're that worried about that statement, perhaps you need some self evaluation. I'm done with this conversation. -

Are you referring to me, or to Erica? "you" meant as a general audience. But if you feel like it applies to you, perhaps there is something you should do about it. -

Yeah that happens sometimes when you stick to topics.

Not happening.

This is going to come off really bad but.... the concern needs to be given to that child and not to her. She is an adult now. Whether she had a bad home life or whether she's easily influenced that's neither here or there. She knows what is right and what is wrong. It's up to her to step up and say "no" when it's needed. If she is determined to stay with this man, you as a friend can only suggest to her counseling for the both of them. If she's been watched for psychological reasons, there shouldn't be a problem going to facilities for help. That child needs to be the main focus here. Not anyone else. Also, running away from problems isn't going to solve them. That's not a good example to set for her child. Grow up, face your issues and stop blaming the world and other people for your problems. -
Yeah, it's called SBS (sexsomnia) It's really identified as a medical condition but I honestly don't buy it as a legit problem. It was "discovered" back in the nineties when this guy was sexually assaulting everyone. He said he didn't recall and that he was napping at certain times.

I don't think that he's gay because he finds other things to occupy his time instead of watching porn. I used to watch it frequently and it became very boring. It got to the point where I would start thinking about how they are in real life. What diseases they might have, how painful it is to bleach the bumhole etc. Porn really isn't a good thing. It's really overrated. As for women thinking about sex, I can't really say. Everyone has a different sex drive whether they're female or male. Honestly, mine is higher than some of my girlfriends...guess it just depends on the person and who they're willing to do it with.

ewwwwwwww hahahahahahahaha Yeah I think she would be wayyyy more attractive if she had some more meat on her. She looks like an alien in her present state in my opinion.

Old ladies draw their eyebrows on. Usually in a reddish color.

Thanks Gryph. Inky, you can find reasonable priced SLR's. The camera I'm using is a Nikon D40 and it was a display model at the store. You can find those pretty cheap. The expensive part are the lenses. Not to mention other accessories such as the added flash, lighting kits, cleaning kits, tripods etc. I have a 55-200mm lens that was $300. If you are wanting incredible pictures without having to use much lighting, you're looking at over $1000. But I would definitely suggest the D40 for your daughter. It's very light and durable. It's compact size is incredibly convenient and it takes really really good shots. You hardly have to edit any of the photos. All I did on some that I posted was desaturate the color and change some hues for the creek shot. But that's it really. It's a great starter camera. Canon rebels are good as well but are a little more expensive. Not sure why as they have the same capabilities if not less than Nikon's models. Don't bother getting a D60, it's practically the same as the 40 and they're charging a ridiculous amount of money. There are tiny differences and they're not significant enough to pay $2-300 more. Hope this helps.

I've given up on the whole X-Men movie stuff. Origins was much better than the others but seriously.....they totally ruined Rogue and basically all the story lines.

My mom hooked me to that movie when I was a kid. Every now and then when I watch I'm like "chheeeese" but all in all it is an excellent flick. Especially for it's time.

You don't look mad...just uncomfortable

Thanks, but I want to expand beyond that.

I used to sleep walk to the fridge. I'd wake up the next morning with bread crumbs all over my bed. Happened between the ages of 6 through 13.

THe media has ruined Rogue. The movies and such...... she is still my fav. Regardless.

Add me LSD I had to create a new ID and such since my old one was compromised so all of my trophies and such are gone I have quite a collection of games so far but I've had to put whatever money I have to more important things lately. Hopefully when everything is calm and settled, I'll be getting more. Until then, Batman, RE5 and SF4 are my main interests lately.
