i remember correctly that when Garou was released, SNK has make a statement that all characters from Garou has some connection to past characters. Example: Hokutomaru - Andy and Mai Rock - Terry and Geese Butt - Kyokugen Kim's brother - Kim Khapwan. and so on. Although some I still cannot link..... Any idea?

Are you using Kailerra? I think there isn't even another way to connect than using Kaillera Then, he must be using different emulator. You must make sure you have the same version of emulator or same sets of roms.
