Great review, although i disagree with you the fun factor is not there for casual gamer. The learning curve is too high (and this is coming from someone who try to master every move set and combos for Street Fighters and Tekken). And somehow, i really don't like the characters in VF except for El Fuerte....errr...I mean, El Blaze and Wolf. However, i do commend the move sets here as very authentic to actual fighting and wrestling moves. Graphically, i still think Soulcalibur IV can compare to VF5 in some aspect but not all. Control-wise, it will be hard to play without a stick Anyway, i do get some enjoyment playing online with Fatal, bambi and BK before I got banned (which is better than SCIV, online almost unplayable for us).

I guessed you missed the part where i wrote "tweaked..repackaged" on the earlier post, please keep in mind the hardware limitation they had in the past compared to todays machines hence the smoother and added animations andthen some...and they would need to change it since the Guard Break comes out instantly and unblockable no need to charge so just to give beginners a chance (see more tweaking..."Focus/Saving Strikes are breakable as well with certain moves.") You also failed to read that "The Gief" is my fave so 9 times out of 10 I'm doing the beating with him and so i pretty much say i know all his little quirks and yes the game is unbalanced for instance they've put no wait on The Gief's SPD (Spinning Pile Driver)or Abel's Whirlwind Throw and you can just abuse anyone with the right timing, like, nearly no escape from them. But please don't misunderstand me im not out to change peoples minds just sharing a few thoughts that if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck (__insert your answer here__)..... Come to think of it, I guess you are right in this aspect. So, i guess nothing new in SFIV then Just repackaged stuffs.

I restart the whole game to get the achievements I missed. Now I only left with the flags achievements, templars achievements and the grab harrasser achievements. Lol, I DID love this game despite the "variety" of the missions available. Just love the view from the top

The missions themselves are mind numbing enough, but then again the numbing is lowered due to the excellent climbing system. I only retrieve flags when they are in my sight, I have never actually tried to scour towns for flags. I have 99 of the King Richard's flags (one more to go as that need the Catch Ledge skill), 33 of the Saracen flags, all Hospitalier flags, and all Masyraf flags (easiest). So, I have err....235 flags to go? and only 20 more Templars to go

Re-play Assasin's Creed and try to get the flags and templars achievements. Finding the flags is mind numbing.

manage to play tekken 6 Blood rebellion in the arcade yesterday. The new characters are so out of this world! Alisa, a robot like Jack-6, but with better speed and hard-to-predict movements. Having a tough time playing against her in human opponents. Lars was just like Kamen rider with the poses and move sets But still refreshing to use. I can't wait for the X360 version now. P/S: On a side note, i have to forget what I learn in T5: DR and relearn a lot of combos and juggles in T6. Bounce system is making it fresher it seems.

Yes, I love this game too despite the repetitive missions. The ability to climb almost anywhere coupled with the awesome view is really good.
