OK, I'm editing the rest of the list (my wife goes out in 1 hour so after that I start), and I'll send you the hidef vm file in about 2 hours. P47 , when I did the VM for the first time, used to hang a bit on a black screen, but after a small wait, by pressing coin or start, it works fine (I'll check it again anyway)

OK I saw, try to replace manually in the vmhidef.txt the following value: vmhidef.txt / general games / tengai 4 7 65535 instead of 4 8 65535 (the fist tengai you meet, not the second value [4 16 65535] at the end of the txt file). Or just try to set the vm in Ignite advanced settings 4 448 65535 for the same result (7 = 448/64) if you prefer. If it works at your place I'll change the rest of the list today. (the values will depend of the games). These issues are the result of a small loss of mem after BP worked on the last 720p switch. Strange because BP told me he had tested everything. I didn't have these problems before as I did the hidef vm for beta 6. I tested everything (like you've just done) in 480p and 720p for the beta 6, very long work. Can you list me the games, 480p or 720p ? If you haven't done it I'll check the best values for those games to correct them in vm.txt (and send it to you for testing). This way no need to enable vm, most of the time as nobody really adjusts it, it uses hdd for nothing.

Why do you retest them as all the VM values were fixed before the Standalone release ? Changes in the build ?

I use the screen adjustment (in main menu with Ignite theme) for Ninja Warriors, Darius 1 & 2, warrior blade), the multiscreen games. I use the widescreen option for rotated schmups, and for some horizontal games like Mortal Kombat (perfect aspect ratio with widescreen option enabled and 16/9 display on TV)

Strange BP, I thought widescreen option was only a change of a variable that mameox just took care of. Why should the screensize affect the CPU ? Does it affect the CPU when we change the default screensize parameters too ?
