OF COURSE mameox.ini is in e:\tdata\babe...\system !!! I don't know if an advanced setting for that is useful, and this can be easily edited on a PC. If people can run the beta, they sure know about the save and where it must be placed, and mameox.ini is in this save !!! Up to BP's judgement ! Answer for other pm: Older saves must be erased, place babe0002 in tdata (in this you can have edited mamox.ini for rompaths). Then launch the beta and the drivers list will be writen properly, don't copy in babe0002 the files from an older "babe" save !! No more problems of missing files if you're still using the same roms. BP you're a star ! Thanks for the sample rate, no more irritating sounds in the oldest games I personnally believe all the useful options are concentrated in these 3 pages, good organization, no more suggestion ! Easy for everyone, and complete for exacting players !!! PS in answer to guys who wanted to manage their roms directories (pm): Open mameox.ini file and check those lines: RomsPath0 = d:\roms RomsPath1 = d:\roms ... and replace for example with RomsPath1 = f:games\**folder**\roms or g:\roms or anything according to where you placed your games !

i'm pretty sure its a artwork thing.. with artwork its a hit and miss kind of thing.. if a game uses a lot of memory and then you add the artwork to it , it runs out of memory and will not load or even crash/lockup. BP said that he had tried 19xx with artwork enabled and it wouldn't load so i had a look at it and played around with it.. so i went into the vm.txt file and set the middle value was set to 32 and i changed it to 24 and 19xx booted up with artwork enabled but the game then ran at only 30 fps instead of the 60 fps that it runs at. not sure fum if you had artwork enabled or not but when it comes to the artwork the xbox just don't have enough under the hood to run some games with artwork enabled know matter what you do. With artwork there is also a loss of fps with games using a small memory: raiden and driftout normally run at 60fps but fall at 30-35 fps with bezels.

Hey BP, Glad to see the project is doing so well still! Sometimes its hard to know exactly what it is to test this for you. I can play games and have lots of fun and it works! maybe if there is a certain area you want looking into or if you could explain what it is you want us to do? Im not as good with this stuff as you by a long shot but I like to think I pick things up quick and have a logical mind. If there is anything I can do to help (have a beta 3 at the moment) other than playing games then please let me know because so far I can't find fault with the program. Maybe im just not using it in such a complicated way but I really would like to give something back as im sue a lot of us do but just don't know how? Anyhow grateful as always maybe not good enough to help but willing if you ask/explain what I should be doing... Take Care public beta 4 sent to you

Hi there ! Maybe you should extend the WIDESCREEN option in order to consider rotated vertical (as it is now all right) AND horizontal NON ROTATED. That way: no need to switch the TV between 4:3 and 16:9 when "widescreen" is enabled and when we want to jump from a game (vertical rotated) to another one (horizontal) (taking care about about the aspect ration for horizontal games) !

You can remap them if they don't suit you, enable "default remapping" in hidden settings and access the ingame menu for that. BP has thought about a better way: just press left or right (instead of Y+up or Y+down) to jump to the next cat, next year, next letter, etc.... Don't you think it's easier ? BP intends to skin it for his final Ignite, maybe you should read some older posts, mister darknior !

The original screen size must be 510x510. Remember the game is emulated, if the original screen size had been 320x240 it would have been shown those values in the calibration menu, even if you play it in 1080x720. (The emulator resizes the game but the game can't "know" it)

AS it was a dual screen game, I think left channel delivers sound for Player one and Right channel for Player 2.

... and to bring back some justice because of nice PM I've received: I don't code, I can't code, I've never coded anything!!!!! BritneysPairs is the only coder, that's his project, his baby, and I've never done anything on it ! I'm like you all, I just enjoy it ! If this makes troubles I'll quit the forum. Kovplus is a clone, you need KOV.zip + pgm.zip to run it. you also must add som other bios to play some games (like neogeo): konamigx.zip, taitofx1.zip, taitogn.zip... make a search to find your missing bios. Google helps about mame's bios.

Trig your cab is......... something I'd like to steal !!! (thanks for the link). So your method could just be great if you want to swich between your cab and your xbox joypads. But with such a cab, will you ever want to play with your pad anymore ?

I now don't see why it's so important to remap the layout. It just forces everyone to use the already configurated default cfg. When remapping the layout, all the shooters, action, beat'um up will suit the cab, but what about driving & fighters ? You'll have to remap them anyway. As averyone can remove all the cfg and redo a new default you'll get the same results: OK for schmups, action & beat (all affected by the new default.cfg and choose the button for autofire) and remap for driving & fighters. So in the two cases, a work of remapping keys will have to be done. By erasing cfg and remapping the default, no new code needs to be added. Don't you think ?

Thanks for that ! BP has been a fine company for some long nights and reacts at every comment, is able to add an option and make a build in only 15mn ! It's a real pleasure to contribute and see cool reactions like this one. But the point is: IGNITE is a real pleasure for players, and BP is a Boss with a big B.

you won't believe it but the settings were made for joypad (so i can shoot the fullscren in jpark & opwolf3). But the case of using hardware lightgun is really interesting. I really think you should create a new thread talking about guns, so interest all guns users (and you seem to master your stuff). Steel gunners 1&2: shots only in the center of the screen, aren't they ? I don't know about lightguns, but thoses 2 games can't be played with a pad or a mouse in any PC version of mameui (we can target items but only shoot at the center of screen). EDIT: Sorry i've just seen the thread !!!! good stuff !!

I sent a well calibrated nvram for opwolf 3, but maybe BP didn't include it. List the problems and corrections will be included in the next release. thanks cba.gy.
