  1. Is it that inconceivable that there could be emulation involved? Not even with parts of the data preprocessed? Some things I noticed- If it is just a port, why does it retain the two 'press start' splash screens, or the 'free play' sign when the PS2 port didn't? That much is aesthetic but there is also slowdown in this version is more severe in places than the PS2's, which would likely be something you'd iron when doing a port, right? Additionally, the 'accept' button in-game is mapped to whatever button you assigned to shoot- not the traditional X or O (as in the PS2 version and the other games). Finally, when you have a title consisting of easily-emulated games, why add the extra headache of adding another title that you'd actually have to port all at the last minute? It's inconceivable because the PSP doesn't have nearly enough ram or speed to be anywhere even close to being able to run a Dreamcast emulator (Atomiswave is Dreamcast + extra ram). The PSP has 36mb and the Atomiswave has 72; I hope you're following me here... but it's just not possible. It's much more conceivable that they simply ported the Atomiswave version rather than the ps2 version.
  2. You're out of your mind if you think ms6 is emulated. It is quite simply a port. nothing more, nothing less.
  3. Where are some of you guys from? If you're going to post how the weather is, you should post where you're from too. ^^
  4. About a foot, maybe a foot and a half. (1/2 meter?)
  5. Another lovely night in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It's 0°F and Feels Like -14°F. 0°F->-17.8°C -14°F-> -25.6°C
  6. It's 4 AM and 1F (-17.2C) and feels like -12F (-24.4C), I guess we're looking at a high of 3F (-16.1C) today. I do so enjoy having my nut sack freeze to my leg...
  7. @Shiba- you work at Penn Station East Coast Subs? As for who wins... I honestly don't care. I will never really care until the Detroit Lions go (which won't happen in my lifetime). This just leaves me to go to a friend's house, enjoy some beer and some of his lovely wife's fantastic home cooking
  8. 11PM here and it's 4°F and Feels Like -12°F. Again, here are those stats metricisized: 4°F = -15.6°C -12°F = -24.4°C
  9. Right now it's 7°F and Feels Like -11°F (weather.com stats), it's snowing so hard you can't see more than 100 yards in front you. For you metric bastards: 7°F = -13.89°C -11°F = -23.89°C 100 YD = 91.44 M
  10. Nice to hear some news from this promising emulator. It has been a while ^^
  11. I was tapping phones long before it was popular.
  12. That's very strange, I've never heard of that happening with FBA. To be honest, there's nothing new in this version that should cause something like that to happen. (really there are minimal differences between this and the 0.2.95.23)
  13. Did you try a fresh directory? also unicode or ascii? and what OS are you using?
  14. It requires an extended bios set (different than MAME's). That's probably what the problem was. If you need anything FBA related my forums are a decent place to go http://neosource.1emulation.com/forums/
  15. http://www.barryharris.me.uk/ Thanks to kof2112 for the news!
  16. That's not true at all. Street Fighter 3 had 3 versions that were released in the arcade (and dreamcast and ps2 iirc): Street Fighter III : New Generation Street Fighter III 2nd Impact : Giant Attack Street Fighter III 3rd Strike : Fight for the Future It doesn't work in MAME because the games are encrypted (scrambled) and the way to decrypt (unscramble) them is unknown.
  17. Hopefully every CPS2 rom will have to be updated soon (to remove xors), but most likely not. On a separate note, nice to see Thunder Heroes, this should drop right into FBA
  18. Greenest Christmas I can remember here in Michigan. Lots of rain though
  19. Clothes, money, Best Buy gift card, and a DVD (Anger management [which will probably be returned soooon]), and to see my family.
  20. Just let me know gogo I have hsf2 added and the rumble code works quite well now -- 32 slots for rumble addresses, 8 per player, it can easily be extended to more. I've shortened the rumble load code, substantially, and implemented it in a much cleaner way (it works on all 68k-based systems without a custom implementation for all of them).
  21. Normal MVS games are on carts like NES or N64, but some more recent (Metal Slug 5, SVC, and KOF2003 only afaik) are on single pcb boards. They're basically the MVS machine + cartridge on one board. Dumped is the word, not ripped. Nope. MVS, AES, AES revision. Also no. You can certainly change the region as easily as the mvs (replace the bios). It's much easier to just go into the setup menu (of the bios) and change the language. And every game I know of for Neo-Geo has AES mode code in them. Some of them need a small hack of the program to enable it. Some games have an incomplete/buggy AES mode kof2001 (set 1) and Riding Hero, for example.
  22. Nice. Hopefully this sees a source release at some point. Anyone test this yet?
  23. Having several million copies buried in the desert certainly helps verify this claim. Though I would have to say street fighter - the movie - the game is certainly on the top of my list of absolute crap games.
  24. Not true. Gamecube does also (several, in fact). Xbox has 2 emulators, and they are both very very incompatible (run 1 or 2 games)
