One of the device drivers on your pc is screwed up. I'd suggest uninstalling any devices you don't need atm and figure out which is the problem.

having actually played the wii (excite truck) and the ps3 (??), i still have to say that i like the wii much better. the ps3 really didnt impress me much graphically (though it may have just been the game), but i honestly think i saw better graphics on the xb360. the graphics on the wii are certainly sub-par for being next-gen, but nintendo has never claimed that the wii was next-gen, but rather something else entirely. excite truck was a lot of fun to play, but hard to get the hang of, i didnt know how to go forward at first, then i figured it out, and then i got the tilt on the wiimote, but it was too touchy (i couldnt adjust it, so i was s.o.l.). i really wish theyd put wii sports in that particular kiosk. as for the ps3 game, i didnt catch the name on it, but it was a dirt bike game with a lot of jumping of ramps and crashing into things. the blur effect was more irritating and the environments were very boring and uninteresting. the texture effects were very nice, and 3d models were very high in poly count, but still not like anything i have seen on the 360 thus far. also, the controller on the ps3, i dont think this was the sixway (or whatever it is called), but the L2 and R2 triggers have a small lip on the bottom of them to make them easier on the fingers, it was weird at first, but quickly became the norm. ps. sorry for the lack of caps, but using a busted keyboard atm.

looking at the mame source, i assume this ram chip is bad. AM_RANGE(0xa000, 0xa0ff) AM_MIRROR(0x1f00) AM_RAM AM_BASE(&spriteram) AM_SIZE(&spriteram_size) you may want to go the the mame.net forums and ask this, they always seem to be very helpful to someone who resurrects a dead machine. (just ask nicely)

Does anyone know a good alternative to adobe acrobat reader? I hate adobe products and how bloated + ad-ridden they are. I'd really like it to be freeware, very small, with a nice gui. However, I can deal with a shareware app, plugin for MS word, or a crap gui. tia

I don't own a psp, but my best friend does, and from my experience, here are the major problems with it. 1. Games. Being that there isn't a huge library for it already (like GBA for the DS, or ps1 games on the ps2), the selection is pretty slim. There are a few excellent games, but mostly crap. 2. Texture. The thing is glossy, it's hard to hold and gets greasy/dirty extremely easily 3. Durability. It's a sony product, it's not like they're known for having excellent build quality, endurance. (and if it breaks, it's not like they care much.) 4. It's made by Sony. They have a really bad track record and don't seem to particularly care about their fan-base. 5. Load times, I've heard some games can take up to 4 minutes to load. That is INSANE. This crippled the Neo*Geo CD and a few other early cd-based systems. No game should ever have more than 60 seconds, 30 seconds should be average (with an entertaining load screen.) I've heard people complain about battery life, but it's not that big of a deal. I'd say most people that use a psp don't play it for hours on end, they play it for a few minutes or maybe an hour at a time. I suppose this is another downfall of the psp games as well, they're made for extended play times, but most people just want a quick game fix and go.

I use Winamp now, but I use to use Sonique, and before that K-jofol. In the meantime, I have tried Quintessential Player, Coolplayer, itoones, and Foobar, and haven't really liked any of them.
