  1. I second that buddy Especially true when you're a little baked
  2. The overburn option writes futher out on the disc, and this only works if your burner supports it. Your other option is to copy out the data track and the cdda tracks, toss the dummy file 0dummy.dat (usually), and re-selfboot it.
  3. I really have to say something towards this... every time someone says this, it irritates the hell out of me. People simply don't get it; MAME is about preservation, not collecting roms, not playing the games. If a game gets redumped or a better dump is found, it is added or replaces an old set. While in most instances the difference between dumps isn't noticed, there are ones, such as the m1 roms from newer neogeo games, that do affect gameplay (missing sounds). So seriously, get over yourselves, MAMEDevs are not out to screw rom collectors over.
  4. I'd suggest making absolutely sure that the bios you're using is jap, and make sure that under the Options>program 3 (tab)>Not Use Bios is unchecked.
  5. Yes you can leave them in .zip archives. Not just can, but have to.
  6. Here's an excellent guide page: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/ As for the snippets of code, don't worry about those.
  7. Yuck. I hate emulator hacks, however, since Nebula is now really a dead project and sadly closed source, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of this crap.
  8. Modifying an xbox is fairly complicated and involved, softmod or with a chip. If you can find someone experienced to help guide you, you'd be better off. This also isn't for someone who is horribly afraid of bricking their xbox or wants to play burnt games on xbox live.
  9. Grandma's Boy, I really felt for the guy.
  10. I guess I can share my story too, I think it was '97 or '98 and I was at my uncle's house using his computer (AOL yay!) when I saw a program on his pc called "Nesticle" bundled with a bunch of roms. I was like OMG!! This is awesome! I went home and copied the floppy it was on and began to play teh romz! Eventually my folks got a new pc and internet and I started to get more games, snes, genesis, etc In 2001 or 2002 I signed up for an account on emutalk and quickly got 1300 posts, no real spam though. Anyway, I eventually got banned (political reasons [summoned64]), and joined RomShare, I quickly became a moderator, then a super moderator, and saw a link for 1emulation. I removed it from the post (it had new neogeo roms and nrx hacks) and joined up! From there, as you can say, it's history.
  11. I've never done anything to destroy a pc honestly. However, I have wrecked a couple dozen windows installs on my pc lol. You live, you learn.
