I think we can all agree this thread has degraded into bickering and serves no purpose other than to clutter an otherwise useful forum. Could a mod please close this topic?

Scratch that - user error!

Sounds cool! I have two Sony PVMs myself. Yes, I've had some issues with selecting the OPTIONS menu. It will black screen and reboot to the dash. No, the monitor is the original 15 khz Sanyo in my Mario Bros widebody machine and the xbox is hooked up using these adapters: http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html The colors are nice and bright and depending on the game/emulator used it just looks sensational. Is it arcade perfect? No, but its as close as I need it to be. I'm VERY lucky that the Sanyo is up and running still with only the slightest imperceptible bit of burn in from the original game. I'd have to find an all blue background and then point it out to you to see it (and I kind of like that, makes it that much more authentic feeling). Back on topic - does anyone else freeze up when going into the options menu while playing a game?
-
I just farted.
-
I disagree. PS3 may be the future someday, but it seems that Sony is being very vigilante with hunting down and eliminating custom firmware stuff making it not a fun environment to develop for. Xbox still rules.

Good news - the Turbo Twist 2 works great with the XBOX and CoinOps! http://tinyurl.com/3oxjvzj I was able to briefly test it with ARKANOID and it worked flawlessly, however, TEMPTEST didn't seem to work right, but I was in a rush before heading out. I'll test more tomorrow and report back. Another win for MAME on XBOX!

Ya, I noticed a few little bugs too. You should post them in the 'official' release thread at X-S to make sure A600 sees them. After I play with it a bit, I may do the same. Overall, really great emu. Are you using an Emotia to get scanlines?
-
These all look really cool! Where can you get the two that have been ported?
-
Actually - it has a lot of features: pixel perfect and scanline emulation to name two - so I wouldn't call this bare-bones. I think what you mean is the skin is fairly basic, which is true. The features that are in other emulators (and some that aren't) are there.
-
Ah, General Zod, good to hear from you again. We know you're just acting out because you're follically-challenged - but there is hope! http://www.hairclub.com/

Ya, but even on an upgraded XBOX - that'd run slow. (I think) I'm actually interested in that Jaguar SDL emu. That's a better system than people realize. (Not great, but definitely some good games on there)
-
I think that A600 is mainly interested in ported emus/games which use SDL. (This is just a guess based on what he has released thus far) Here is a link to a partially up-to-date Wiki page regarding SDL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_using_SDL Of note from the Wiki: Arcade and game-console emulators which use SDL * DGen – an emulator for Sega Genesis (Mega Drive). * FCE Ultra – an emulator of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Famicom Disk System. * Gens – a Sega Genesis emulator. * Hatari – an emulator of the Atari ST computer system. * MAME – SDLMAME is an SDL-based port of MAME (MAME is an "Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator" emulator). * Mednafen – multi-system emulator supporting Atari Lynx, Game Boy (including Color and Advance revisions), Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), PC Engine, SuperGrafx, PC-FX, WonderSwan, and WonderSwan Color. * Mupen64 – Mupen64 (Multi Platform Emulator for the N64) is an emulator for the Nintendo 64. * NeoCD – a Neo Geo CD emulator. * Stella – an emulator for the Atari 2600. * VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) – emulator for the Game Boy, Super Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance handheld game consoles sold by Nintendo. * Yabause – an emulator for the Sega Saturn. * ZSNES – an emulator of the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems.

Looking forward to those additional arcade games! Do you want to look at PP for FB core next week? I should have some time to test.
-
Ha, I own a real 3DO - believe, not many good games on it. Jaguar would be awesome though - especially for the CD-based games since those units are expensive and hard to come by in working order. It looks like they are working on a 2.0.0 release of Virtual Jaguar, which is also SDL. Check it out: http://icculus.org/virtualjaguar/ Maybe that one would be a good one for A600 to do if he could get in touch with the authors?

thanks!

wow! let me be the first to say: AWESOME!

This whole forum needs a bong hit.

Bigby, what are you mad at me for and who said anything about deleted the PC-Engine CD games? I still plan on upping the Sega CD games as well. I'm also working with EJ to get the bug list to MadMab so he can improve the emu in the future. The reason I took this up is because it appeared the release team isn't legit (look at those videos) and it was just going to generate excitement for something that, ultimately, wasn't going to happen. That would be rude and inconsiderate. I'm taking Mega at his word that this is legit, but at the same time, it just seems unlikely. Like I said before - I hope I'm wrong. I'm holding out hope because Mega seemed very excited at the start of this and posted a LOT, as did I. Also want to reiterate that I don't take sides in this Xtras/CoinOps thing. I've talked to Madmab and BP a lot and I think they are both good guys - as are most of the people on these forums. I just think a few people ruin it for everyone. Speaking of, if it wasn't Waal who made that video - who did? Whoever made it brought up all the same old BS that has been going on back-and-forth forever now and you should be mad at them as it makes this whole TeamZod thing look fake.
-
OK - no reason for name calling or getting angry. Its not worth the effort. I've said it before and I'll say it again: games are supposed to be fun right? Lets all chill and enjoy the weekend. I'm out. PEACE, gentlemen!!!
-
Hahaha, OK, I admit it - the penis pump may have been uncalled for, but it was so damned funny! Listen Mega, if this is legit - great - I'm all for it. However, you can see why we'd all be dubious here. Just post something when there is something to post. If this is serious, we'll see something in the future. FYI: The Xbox-Scene forum system says you just visited there yesterday.
-
Guess we will see Mega. No one should hold their breath or waste their time posting request to this mysterious 'underground' team in my opinion. Also, why be underground? The Xbox is going to be 10 years old in November/December. HINT: Microsoft doesn't give a shit anymore and they haven't for years now. Also, why did you only post about TeamZod here? Why not at Xbox-Scene or EmuXtras or XBMC4XBOX? Wouldn't you want to get the word out to all the active Xbox forums? I really hope I'm wrong, but this past week has proved that this is just some silly prank. In either case, I don't give a crap. Cheers

Sure - PM me your IM stuff or email addy and we'll chat. I have some stuff going on this weekend, so I'll be on and off the computer. Ha - I like shitty old TVs for this stuff too. You'd love the SLG3000. Talk soon

(psss... Ace, TeamZod is fake) The reasons being: 1. No releases. What release group announces the intention to release something, not to mention through a intermediary, but doesn't say what that something is? (Speaking of the intermediary - where are you Mega Man?) 2. What release group uses silly, childish YouTube videos (copying Anonymous no less) to 'communicate' and then first makes 'demands' before said releases? 3. They ignored the long history of the Xbox emulation scene in their 'mission statement' and I use that term loosely. Xport was an important and most prolific porter, but there were a LOT of others before him - Lantus and, later, NES to name a few. These people - never even mentioned. (This is a sign of amateur hour) Conclusion: Like my granddaddy would say: I smell me some bullsheeeeeeeet Ace, the good news is that there are still very competent people working on Xbox emulation: Madmab, BP, the Surreal team, and now A600 - so there will likely be good things coming in the future. Hopefully, the scene will, in generally, grow-up a little and start working together or at least respectfully, rather than resorting to silly antics like this. Best Regards

Ha, but its true! Not yet, I've been busy with work lately. Hopefully, next week. Talk soon

Oh shit, TeamZod is actually Stephen Hawking! I'm so sorry, sir! We wait with bated breath! PS - M Theory rocks!
