for instance in alpha mission 2, blu'es journey, ninja commando audio : all ON and 48000 video : anistropic and 2*scale Gogo had this pb in the august version but nox it's corrected but in pro 's version is not the case apparently... See you soon Okay thanks I'll look into fixing this. As you say, it's a known issue with FBA-XXX. 720p should work if the system is set to widescreen but not 4:3.
-
Please be more specific. In which games are you hearing sound glitches and what are your audio/video settings?
-
mslug5d is the set with decrypted graphics ROMs and it only takes a few seconds to load. If you're referring to the fully decrypted (nd) sets, they were removed a couple of builds ago because I found no noticeable difference in loading times or zip compression between these and the decrypted graphics (d) sets.

FBA-XXX Pro v1.27 ============ - Added the latest updates from FBA-XXX by Team Logic Sunrise (www.logic-sunrise.com) - Several ROMset updates. (see DATs for details) - The following sets have been added: hsf2a puzloop2 ddsomb mslugbl wh2jh NOTE: I've removed the Beta games menu because it was causing problems. I'll re-implement it in the future when I've had time to fix it. Enjoy! + T + NOTE2: My xbins account doesn't seem to work anymore. So I've had the release uploaded to a popular xbox torrent site. Hopefully it will find its way to the usual places soon.

That's a little presumptuous don't you think? I hardly think that this is the first time an emu to has gone for a while without an update. I'm just very busy with other things at the moment. I will continue to work on FBA-XXX Pro at some point in the future when I am able to but it certainly is not dead.

Either: Hardware filter = Linear Software filter = Simple2x Flicker filter = 1 or: Hardware filter = Linear Software filter = None Flicker filter = 0 should give a display as close as possible to the original look.
-
I'll look into this for the next version. Unfortunately not. The Xbox cannot display resolutions lower than 640x480 so upscaling the display is always necessary. That's why it doesn't look the same as original hardware.
-
lol, yeah I'm still around, just really busy right now. A Pro update is definitely on the way, but I can't say exactly when at the moment.

Does this error exist just in Pro or does FBA-XXX have the same problem? The background picture option only works for games that are flagged as vertical in the drivers. None of the beta games are and they crash if this flag is added so I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about it. I'll look into those other issues. It is possible, infact I believe FBA-XXX has an ini switch to hide all clone sets and only show parent ROMs. The reason this isn't feasible in Pro is because in some cases clone sets are the only sets that work for a particular game (msh for example). So by hiding clones you'd end up with alot of non-working games. Plus I don't see why anyone would put ROMs in their ROMs folder that they don't want to show up in the emu.
-
That's because Pro is now using the same VMM routines as FBA-XXX. You will mostl likely find that FBA-XXX has the same problem. Does changing any of the audio settings make a difference? The latest version is the 18/07/06 build.
-
That's why I'm assuming it must be due to settings. And CPU speed seems the most likely culprit.
-
No, I meant FBA-XXX. The reason is that Pro is now using the exact same VMM routines as FBA-XXX so I want to establish whether 720p compatibility is the same in both builds before I start trying to fix anything. The ESP RaDe issue could also be down to CPU speed. Increasing this setting can cause alot of strange problems with many games, I usually just leave it at 100%. The reason you're finding this release buggy is because you're running everything at 720p. I have no HDTV therefore Pro's 720p support is totally untested. Fixing problems requires that I rely on the bug-reports I get from users with the necessary equipment. This is how 480p support got fixed and hopefully 720p is just a matter of time.
-
Thanks matt2k, that's just what I wanted. Now could you possibly do one more thing for me? Could you please test the following sets on the latest build of FBA-XXX and let me know if they work or not at 720p?: Ganryu Garou Metal Slug 3 Nightmare in the Dark Prehistoric Isle 2 Sengoku 3 Strikers 1945 plus Thanks once again.
-
Thanks for the info. I have an idea of how I may be able to fix these issues, but it's on a per-game basis so ideally I'd like to know of every set that freezes so please keep the reports coming.

FBA-XXX Pro v1.26 ============ - Fixed graphics glitches in kof2003/kof2003d. NOTE: If anyone finds that any encrypted NG sets are failing to load in any of the higher-res HD modes could they please let me know. Enjoy! + T +

Interestingly if you click the right thumbstick to enter the mini-menu then press B to exit again the glitches fix themselves. I'll fix this for the next build.

FBA-XXX Pro 1.25 ============ - All problems with loading games in HDTV video modes should hopefully be fixed. - Re-fixed Black/White buttons. - Fixed Beta menu freezing when navigating gamelist. - Replaced many Neo-Geo drivers with updated versions by iq_132. These contain many fixes and improvements including: - Several drivers now use less RAM during loading. - kof2003 is finally using the correct P3 ROM. - ms5pcb is now working. - ridhero no longer runs slow in AES mode. - AES mode fix for cthd2003. - Protection errors fixed in fatfury2. (Massive thanks to iq for sharing these. ) - Removed all fully decrypted NG sets. They serve no purpose in an emulator like Pro where all protection routines are fully emulated. They also offer no significant improvements in zip compression or loading time compared with the decrypted C sets. - Fixed problems with ct2k3sp. - Restored rbff2 V3 ROM to publically available version for now. - Removed the unavailable jgokushi set for now. - Several miscellaneous ROMset updates. - The following sets have been added: ddsomb ms5pcbd - The following beta sets have been added: naname NOTE: The setting to enable/disable beta games has been moved to UI Options --> Menu Setting. Enjoy! + T +

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I have the RAM problems fixed now. I'm just sorting out the beta menu issues and then I'll release another build.
-
Could anybody please tell me if any CPS2 games fail to load in v1.17 when running in HD mode? (with and/or without the Simple4x filter) Thanks.
-
The menu issues I know about but I'm not sure as to the cause. If worse comes to worse I may just have to throw the beta games (if enabled) into the Others list and have them stand out in some way until I can sort the beta menu out. As for the loading problems in HD mode. Could both those who are experiencing problems and those who are not please post what filters and skins you're using. This is probably more issues with RAM. I have several possible solutions in mind.
-
I am planning an update and I'll try to address as many of the reported issues as I can. But work is putting some heavy demands on my time at the moment so it is coming, but I just can't say when.
-
Thanks for the info guys. I have a much better idea of where to go with this now.
-
And the encrypted set loads fine in FBA-XXX?
-
And which Sengoku 3 set are you using? If it's sengoku3.zip then could you please test with sngoku3d.zip and let me know the result? Sorry for all this, but as I said, I can't test this on my TV.
-
No, that problem is fixed. What you are experiencing is a different problem. Could you please test build 1.17 and let me know if it does the same thing in 480p?
